This tutorial is fantastic! I sent this to my daughter's dance school because they send out videos every year to parents on how to do a ballet bun, but thick, kinky curly hair needs a completely different technique. This was extremely helpful to me and now my daughter actually loves to wear buns even when she's not in ballet. Also forgot to mention to tie the hair down with a satin scarf to dry for at least 10 minutes!
So glad I found this my daugther has her first recital in June and I had no idea how I would get her thick textured hair back into a bun. Now to find the nets.
I just had mine yesterday! I hope she enjoys hers :) I personally got a silk press first and then did the bun. I don’t recommend it if you’re not okay with the heat. Have a good day :)
(Natural hair starts around 7:23) This was super helpful; I sort of stumbled onto a very similar method on my own (trial and error), but this showed me how to make my bun even better. If you ever do an update, It would help to have a few more tips for coily (tightly curly) hair. Thanks again, this was very good.

Thank you my toddler has really long hair to her butt and its been a challenge keeping it in place since she loves her jumps ♥️ hope this class doesn’t end with a tantrum 😩 she hates bad hair days lmao
