A friend of mine has done VERY well for himself financially. Long story short… by an absolute stroke of sheer luck, he was able to find out that a woman he had dated for well over one year was only with him for his money and was attempting to get pregnant yet lying to him that she was on the pill. He cannot afford for women to know that he is wealthy so he can’t show off his nice stuff. He shows women that he is responsible with money but hides that he is wealthy. Btw, he’s only 5’5” so he has a really tough time on dating sites. I feel bad for the guy honestly.

But that was it. I learned to value and respect the down to earth guys who had amazing common sense. My husband had a Chevy s-10 when we met and I think I was most impressed with his humility and common sense. He is a successful business owner now… and I couldn’t be happier or more proud.

I prefer old (60’s and 70’s) V8, rear wheel drive vehicles. Something that you don’t have to be a computer whiz to work on them. A little tattered upholstery in the interior and a little patina on the outside is fine with me, as long as it’s dependable. One good thing is that thugs aren’t out to carjack you either.
