I love Psyduck too. I saw a big plushie for it the other day. For me it's always been Umbreon and Steelix as my top 2 I hope they can introduce to Pokemon Unite. So already 1/2 done. Onix is a classic, famously being Brock's main Pokemon. And I always loved Steelix too. No more x4 weakness from water and grass type in this game, it's gonna be badass.
With the effort gauge I can see Gyarados being an origami tiger. It can jungle and evolve by it's 2nd rotation if teammates don't steal or 1st rotation if it gets a few assists and stacks. It could also be played in lane with a supporter who follows it around everywhere to help it stack and evolve faster. Then it finally evolves and re-enacts the war crimes of 1937. Never ask what happened in 1937.
Looks like karp partnered with mons that can limit enemy movement options for early KOs is going to be the strat and scoring whatever points it gets immediately and running
@octillerynite7526 Give it some sort of ability having to do with its heads, with each head doing something special. Give Hydreigon a lot of little quirks to its kit that make it really strong when people know how to micromanage it properly
remember all those times you were flipping Zapdos and meanwhile that Wartortle on your team was backcapping? …Somehow I think I know how Magikarp is going to pan out.
I really like Magikarp and Gyarados but I really have to say this, as much Acqua Tail seems a really fun move I don't think it'll be viable at all as the current state of the game it is right now. The absurd amount of CC is really too much and unbearable for it to work since anything in this game can stop you and interrupt your move. Unless they buff it making at least the first half hindrance resistant or unblockable, I think it'll end just like Buzzwole's Leech Life. With that being said I can't wait for it's release!
The "inting for an evolved form" concept reminds me or Kayn from League of Legends. He gets his form by attacking, so players often just run it down for some stacks.
Aside from just releasing pokemon and adjusting the meta, the developers should also take some time fixing the lag in the game. It's ridiculous that I can stream 4k movies just fine but I'm getting red ping when playing this game even when I'm the only person in the house.
Probably because you'll get mix up with player from different servers sometimes, i got mixed with some pinoy guys one time and it lag so bad but after that its dandy
Hey guys, love the videos, good to have some attainable goals nick :), my goal this year is to get back into BJJ, I've been on a 5 year break since becoming a dad of 2, only had a few months of BJJ experience but fell in love and can't wait to get back to it, again love your videos and can't wait to see more
Hey Spragels I normally don’t comment on videos and what not to ask something but can you make a video on how they have ruined Greedent? I’ve been playing him since release and his patches and nerfs/buffs were justifiable for the time they happened but now he feels too power crept and not to mention bugs on both move sets making him currently unplayable. Bullet seed goes slower than 0 berry stack when affected by hindrances (which in Unite is constant and even slight slowing effects off mon) and covet Belch could of used the support of the new energy amulet but it simply doesn’t work with his movement. Thank you and I wish they could address this as I understand Pokemon not seeing play happens but I felt as though I physically cannot play them which to me is unfortunate.
Feels to me like they really don't want you to jungle with this thing, even though jungle is the usual go-to for stuff with weak early game and strong late-game. Basically everything you get a lot of effort gauge for involves being in-lane though. Scores, KOs / assists, none of that is something you're getting from jungle, and your first gank will 100% be with Karp if you jungle, which is... Lol. Plus, being so weak as Magikarp means extra levels are almost a bad thing until you evolve, since you don't really want to be the highest level thing on your side with a huge risk to die and no real impact. Seems like the strat might be to lane, hope you have a strong lane partner, and focus on pushing the enemy early and hopefully getting scores and KOs off what your ally is doing. I'd almost say that Exp. Share might be a great choice early-game since it would keep your own level low while boosting your allies' level so that they can hopefully carry you to KOs and goals. But then of course once you do evolve you're actually going to need levels, so that'd probably hurt your long-term. Its gonna be a strange dichotomy for the character where your goals are vastly different between forms. I bet this thing takes off in competitive if the stats are good. Watching the last couple of tourneys and seeing so many Leafeons that take jungle once and then don't really need it again, Gyarados could be a prime target to take over jungle after Leafeon gets its first round and Magikarp hopefully gets some effort gauge from the lane phase.
I think Gyarados is gonna be one of the worst releases ever in PU. Not only having the worst early-game by far (worse than Tyranitar) but not even having THAT good of a late-game? At least Tyranitar somewhat makes up for the terrible early game by being an absolute late-game monster. But Gyarados doesn’t seem to be that strong later on to me. It seems very susceptible to stun and it seems full heal will be mandatory on it. At least, the Unite Move definitely has a lot of teamfight potential if anything. If it can get big kills or knockups, it might be able to pull some sneaky wins with that alone with coordination from teammates I honestly think playing Gyara in Solo Q might be impossible just because of Magikarp alone. There is no way random teammates will be able to coordinate anything to help the Magikarp player. On the contrary, seeing Magikarp on the opposing team will be pain because you know YOUR teammates are definitely gonna hand-feed it~ I think when Gyara inevitably gets buffed its definitely gonna see some high-level play in tournaments tho. That unite move is just way too good to pass up
Ya know what would be cool is if MK effort gauge got 5000 pts if they are KOd by an enemy, so that they would avoid hitting you as you go about flipping around the map
While aqua tail looks more dynamic and unique than dragon breath, I’m scared it will feel too clunky and stationary. I feel the same with bounce, so I hope dragon breath + waterfall is strong but not overbearing so it doesn’t get nerfed into being bad lol
Magikarp has potential for a good jungler however i don't think magikarp is a a good jumgler alone because it is just begging to get invaded and is just food for pokemon like greedent and the one or two invade sableye left
I wanted to be excited for Metagross and Meowscarada but they weren't quite what I wanted. Gyarados looks very cool and I can't wait to try him out. I was wondering if Exp. Share might be good because it looks like Magikarp struggles to level up.
I'm saving up my coins for this Pokemon! Do you think it'll be gems only purchase upon release? If not, do you have an educated guess as to how many coins it might roll out at?
There is no way it is not gonna be gemlocked for a week after release. As for the price it can be 13k like metagross or 14k like scizor. But probably 13k.
If it’s shields are anything like metagross it’ll be crazy because I use defense and HP emblems while buffing the attack and sometime you can take multiple attacks from multiple enemies without seeing any HP depleted.
I think that they nerf Gyarados to forced evolve at 8 instead at 7. Im sure that people is going to go jungle Magikarp and afk farm til 7 to ignore the evo Gauge.
I’m putting my comment here cuz I couldn’t find any video you’d done on the Solo Challenge event and it is so weird how there is very very little content online about it. Like barely anyone’s talking about and I just have *questions*. Like I wanna know what items these assholes are holding. What are their buffs? I need some damn transparency. But it feels likes always cheatinnnggg! 🤣 Ugh. And I hate how I can oppress them so hard in the beginning yet never really gain any levels on them. Like that’s the point of dominating a lane against your lane rivals. Getting a level advantage over them. But the second I get three-manned, they get to 1 level below me. I guess I shouldn’t expect them to make a difficulty curve that feels fair and fun to me but like…that’s kind of their job. Also your job is to cover this game. 🤣 Please send me to your video on the solo challenge event. I’m sure it would benefit me greatly! 😩

Sounds like Score Shield, Attack Weight, Aeos Cookie would be good.

Nah don't run score shield. We are all going to struggle last hitting let alone stacking in lane. Going to be easy for jugglers to gank a karp.😅
Someone still even mentioning score shield in 2024 makes me shiver
I don’t think score shield is worth it

I'm personally happy that this seems to be the case. It's better than everyone fighting over jungle and 9/10 mons released being junglers.
