@slauthordraws3363: Being someone who can get approval to the point of someone calling what you're doing literally the best thing ever, simply by talking about what you like about your partner, which would be fun and easy to do anyway, seems even better (for the people in that situation, at least).

Honestly not trying to be a hater but as a lesbian Shannon isn’t my type at all, maybe because I am just like Shannon not the look wise but style wise? Everything is perfect within our lives objectively, but when I think about little stereotypic intricacies like weddings, date events, etc… it gets overwhelming. Knowing that she’s worth it is so amazing and being wlw is truly a blessing and wonderful life to live, even with the little doubts. You’re doing a huge HUGE service to girls like me by coming out like this. It’s so so amazing to see “cool girls” be openly gay, it makes me feel sm more normal. Also you have not changes ONE bit, this cute little love story is nearly identical to those you've said about guys, just with a girl instead. You seem so happy talking abt Shannon it's so so so adorable 😭😭❤️❤️
We wish you love and support on this new chapter!!!
tbh this is so beautiful, especially considering you're both pretty feminine and you're what most people would consider "a normal girl" it's breaking stereotypes and literally showing that people can just like other people without needing to "change" who they are ❤️

First off i dont know you very well. As a 41 year old male who just came out out june 1st 2023 i understand the nerves you have. I grew up trying to be who everyone else wanted me to be. I tried being the normal guy who loved only girls but i never was in a serious relationship. As a teenager some things happened that looking back on now were experiences that helped me become the person i am today. However i ignored some signs for over 20 years. Finally in 2022 i realized i was attracted to both males and females. I was so scared the first few months after i got honest with myself about it. Over time i realized that if i came out i would lose friends and probably family members as well. I also knew that if i wanted to be able to live my life and love who i wanted to love i had to come out even it meant losing friends and family. Finally on june 1st 2023 i told everyone in a facebook post i was bisexual. Most people were positive like you said they were towards you. Do i still get looks and all whenever i am out in public and wearing my pride clothing or accessories; yes i do but at the end of the day i am confident free and able to be my trueself. I hope you continue to live your life for yourself and love who you want to love. HAPPY PRIDE to you.

Congratulations on coming out, Becca. I'm also a content creator who has had to come out publicly after "figuring out" my sexuality at 32 years old. Very similar experience to you - I convinced myself I was straight but as soon as I met this one girl (my now partner), I was hooked immediately and we've built a beautiful life together.
It's such a confusing experience and even though you're surrounded by love, it's such a strange internal battle trying to understand why you were involved with men for so long.
Good luck on your journey, so happy for you and Shannon, and thank you for being vulnerable on here.

I recently led a ceremony in a celebration of life/memorial for a friend that passed away. When I finished speaking, I was chatting with a friend & said, “I couldn’t help choking up, the tears just came & my throat closed up, there was nothing I could do about it”; my friend responded by saying, “it is expected- eulogies are not often spoken without tears & cracks in the speakers voice”. You are being vulnerable & sharing your experience in navigating something new & life-changing (even being the same person you’ve always been, it’s still a significant experience that has a beautiful impact on your life)- as well as talking about your relationship with someone you’re obviously very in love with. So, in the words of my friend (basically), it is expected- you’re coming out/“announcing” your romantic relationship, acknowledging & accepting parts of yourself & sharing it with your followers, you’re stepping into authenticity, & you are allowing yourself to blossom. It makes sense that emotions are coming up & it’s difficult to express everything in a way that feels secure. All this to say: I see you & I’m proud of you, & it’s okay to be emotional. 💗
I’ve known that I was bi for quite awhile now & I still discover new things about myself/my sexuality to this day. We have each other- the queer community. We can be emotional & complex, & that’s okay.

First of all, congratulations on coming out! The soft and hard launch was absolutely adorable. It was great to see you being so candid and vulnerable about your feelings (the happiness and the confusion). You are becoming the represtation to others that you needed. That is something to be really proud of. As a lesbian that didn't come out until 28 (while married to a man) and in a small southern town, it can be scary. But you're doing great and you will be ok, I promise. ❤ Those who truly love you will be happy for you and will continue to stand by your side. And remember that you never have to put yourself in a box or label yourself at all. Just be you. Be happy and enjoy life. You will be ok. Welcome to the family! 🌈

I always felt confused about whether I was queer because growing up I never had any experiences with girls or had a crush on any, which all of my queer friends did experience. Then I finally realized in my early twenties (after questioning my sexuality for years), and now I'm pretty secure with my identity!
