No, Californians can't sue gunmakers- Federal law already prevents it. The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) is a U.S law, passed in 2005, that protects firearms manufacturers and dealers from being held liable when crimes have been committed with their products.
“A California law passed in 2022 requires that gun manufacturers adhere to state standards for the safety and marketing of their products, opening the way for lawsuits.” You CAN open a civil lawsuit against them but the case has to be made differently from what you’re pointing out in THAT law. So it is possible and it is fair once you actually read beyond the headline. I’m all for it. Keeping people and manufacturers on their toes so that once sold you actually run an actual proper check on individuals. Whether you like that or not it has an impact on who can acquire such a mass quantity of guns and ammo (many mass shootings done with legally acquired guns and ammo mind you) .

My cousin has said the same exact thing. He works in shipping for logistics and said they are booked out until end of August. They are even hiring additional workers, drivers, and maintenance. A lot of the customers will not flat out tell you there reason for moving but its pretty obvious.

That’s 9900 bucks for the six months and with a 660 credit score requirement you can just live somewhere cheaper and for a year save that 9900 and literally buy a house.
That’s good news about criminal records being sealed. I work in legal and know people, who were first time offenders, who committed white collar crimes, did their time (long sentence for 1st time offender), completed parole, went back to work and after ten years had past from committing the crime, was fired when the employer found out they had a record (because some vicious person called the employer to tell), If you want people to stay out of prison, give them a chance to work without the fear of employers firing them for old convictions.
This is something that many here don't seem to think about. The law protects citizens who are good and have done their time for past crimes, from being discriminated against in the present for their past. These people who criticize are under the opinion that criminals are always criminals, and can never reform; that this makes them permanently lesser than those who were never charged with a crime. And that's a discriminatory, plus anti-Christian, mentality.
