      Thank you for watching @captainkrunch6372! Wow! Sounds like that is quite the setup. You must get around 400 to 500 watts back into the unit. Enjoy your boat and life my friend and take care!

      Good luck because my Bluetti failed on a fishing outing. Food spoiled and food poisoning. Squatting over the side of the boat was so much fun.

    You can also get a 12v to 24v step up converter to increase the input. Or add a small 750w inverter to the add on battery and adjust the charge mode of the ac180 to silent so it only pulls like 350w and plug the ac180 charging cable to the inverter. Nice video!

      Thank you for watching pt4826, and thank you for the suggestion! I wanted to omit the inverter not to have another source draining the battery. I am also going to make another video with 2 100ah batteries in series. Tha KS for watching!

    I have a 48v 30ah lifepo4 golf cart battery. I’m under the 60v max allowance and although over amped , the ac180 should only pull 10 amps.

    • @TheCrucibleOfNYC
      @TheCrucibleOfNYC  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thank you for watching @djrtime 1398! That's a good portable size, and yes, you are under the 60-volt threshold. So it is up to 10 amps, but the state of charge on the Bluetti should be at around 50 percent to receive the full 10 amps. Maybe try draining the Bluetti and then try to recharge it back with the golf cart battery. 🤔

    A few days ago I got an AC180, you showed how easy it is to use the battery to charge the power station, but is it possible to use the power station to charge the batteries back?

    • @TheCrucibleOfNYC
      @TheCrucibleOfNYC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching voytek2099! I'm glad that you got the AC180 and glad that it helped. Yes, it is possible by utilizing the DC car adapter to alligator clips, thus using less energy than the inverter. This will charge at 12 volts with a 10 amp limit which would be at 120 watts. Much slower but will charge. Hope that this information helps.

    Hello, question. Could you use redodo 24v 100AH battery? The DC7909 supports multiple voltages right?

    • @TheCrucibleOfNYC
      @TheCrucibleOfNYC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @randysmith3959 Hello randysmith3959, and thank you for watching! Yes, the DC7909 port supports up to 60VDC. Using a 24 volt Redodo battery would charge the Bluetti at around 250 watts estimated. It could vary, but it would be beneficial for you as you can have 2560wh (watt hours) in addition to the 1152 = 3712wh. Hope that this answers your question.

    Could you just plug in the battery clamp with xt60 cable to the Bluetti's female xt60 port and charge Redodo battery with a mppt /w solar panels?

    • @TheCrucibleOfNYC
      @TheCrucibleOfNYC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, snakeye2669, and thank you for watching! I'm sorry but I don't understand. Are you referring to charging g the Redodo battery or charging the Bluetti using the Redodo? The Bluetti AC180 does not have an xt60 port, but it does have the DC7909 to XT60 Cable. You can charge either via solar, but this demonstration was to charge the Bluetti using any battery with battery terminals.

    I have my AC180 connected permanently to 300 ah battery and I have 800 watts of solar panel connected to those batteries so everything stays charged up all the time, Rarely do I ever run anything that draws more than 100 watts so usually it keeps up, My 65 inch TV only draws 100 watts.

    • @TheCrucibleOfNYC
      @TheCrucibleOfNYC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching and commenting, DabeSquibbSr! Wow! That's a great and amazing amount of solar! It would have been great to have that amount here, but sadly, in apartments, real estate is a luxury. I'm glad to know that the Bluetti keeps running with no issue. Take care, and thanks again.

    How long could the AC180 run a 65” tv?

    • @TheCrucibleOfNYC
      @TheCrucibleOfNYC  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for watching keithmcgee1253! Well, it depends on the TV. An LG 65 inch uses about an average 100 to 180 watts per hour. So if we did the math for that while getting the specs of the AC180, it's capacity is stated to be 1152Wh and if you divide that by an average 160, you get around 7.2 hours of use. Hope that answers your question.

    Now that these "tricks" are coming out on YT the manufactures are getting smarter. They are shutting down the outputs when charging from AC to prevent you from "daisy-chaining" or using other battery systems so they can sell their "battery systems". You can actually get a better output from adding 2 100AH LifePO4 batteries in series and use it in a 24V system. ( i see you said that while I was typing this). The manufactures are going to end up using connectors that are only usable to their units and communication cables. I actually hate my AC180, should've just spent more and got the AC200L.

      Thank you for watching @tonyinfinity. I have been doing electrical work for years, and where there is an input, you can always find a way to utilize it, lol 😆. Unfortunately for them, every port that is generic or plug can be purchased and configured for their devices. Yes, I have two 12 volt 100ah batteries, and that is the next video. Connecting them in series to show everyone that it can be done with better performance. The greed of corporations is real, and those batteries that they sell are very pricey.
