    You should be getting a bit above 13 volts DC out of the DC socket. Something is wrong with that unit. My AC180 puts out 13.6VDC, my AC60 puts out 13.7VDC and my EB3A puts out 13.3VDC. Also, I would double check with a different reliable multi-meter to confirm what the output is. Another thing to try is reduce the load from 10A to 9.0A or so and see if the voltage increases to above 13.0 If your load meter is off, you might be drawing more like 11A and the unit reduces the voltage. Please contact Bluetti and if necessary, have your unit fixed, or replaced. Your viewers need to know this is not normal.....

      Next time you get a bluetti device or any product from these companies, do a quick google for coupon codes. I was able to find one for an extra 10 bucks off of the $650. Got a nice $639.99. Ether way, I think we both made out like bandits. The AC180 is going for over $1,000.00 now. We got it or for only about 150 more than what the AC70 is going for (500). And I almost went for the AC70 instead. Very glad I didn't.

    I have some smaller Jackery, EcoFlow & Bluetti units (around 300 Wh units) that I love. Went with multiple smaller ones for redundancy & flexibility. No I’m thinking of adding an expansion battery like the 806Wh Bluetti B80 & also adding either a Bluetti AC180 like you reviewed or an Anker C1000 or Anker F1500. Wish I could get them all but it’d be expensive, impractical & they wouldn’t all get used. Portable power stations are like tattoos - you can’t just get one.
    Thanks for the informative video as it’ll certainly help with my decision. I like all the brands out of Jackery, Ecoflow, Anker & Bluetti as they’re all solid & each have their pros & cons. My Bluetti is probably favorite unit & though aesthetics don’t really matter much in the grand scheme of things Bluetti’s do look amazing. Anker is cranking out some nice units. It’s going to be a tough decision. Definitely probably adding the Bluetti B80 expansion so it’ll just end up being a decision between a 1000W+ Bluetti or Anker portable power station. I was set on the AC180 but really like the Anker C1000 & Anker F1500🫤

My question is, is it better to let the bluetti completely deplete it's battery before charging, or let it go as low as 10 or 20% before charging, to help extend the battery life?? Thanks for any feedback!!

  • @tundatime
    @tundatime 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    My biggest complaint with my 180 is the solar input voltage. Getting 500 watts at around or less than 60 volts is difficult with the panels on the market. Pretty much every portable 200 watt panel has over 20 volts VOC, (even the bluetti pv200) so getting 3 in series doesn't work. The 10 amp limit is also an issue because you cant just parallel a bunch of lower voltage panels.

    • @SirFartsAlot1
      @SirFartsAlot1 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      If you are okay with rigid panels I got 3 180 watt newpowa panels from Amazon and they are fantastic they are the only panels that let you get close to and in my case get the full 500 watts. I posted a review with pictures. They are under 20 voc each so they can be in series and the amps nor volts go over the limit.

    I feel Ecoflow is currently dominating this space with the Delta 2. Using there $200 off code I picked one up for $499 earlier today after getting the Delta 2 + extra battery for $999 a few weeks ago. Tough to beat 50 cents per watt…

    • @davidcarrico3385
      @davidcarrico3385 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I agree. The ac180 is a good solid unit but it is lacking in a couple of ways to the Delta 2 which I also ended up picking up. 1) The delta 2 truly supports expansion batteries (although I do think the flexibility of bluetti’s expansion batteries is better, that is a moot point in this case due to the ac180s lack of true support) 2) Ecoflow’s app is more full featured, letting me pick specific charge rates and a floor and ceiling. This is something Bluetti should definitely look to add to their app. 3) Price - ecoflow isn’t taking any prisoners, they are being aggressive on discounts which is great for us. The one thing I would like both companies to offer is a higher DC output rate of 15 amps. My Delta 2 can barely power the startup of my diesel heater on DC. I haven’t tested that yet on the ac180 I have access to (it’s not mine), but it would be right on the edge also.

      Well for me personally, I prefer this Bluetti AC180 over the Delta 2. I like the fact that the AC180 has more life cycles at 3,500 instead of the Delta 2's 3,000 life cycles. The wireless charging feature is a plus which the Delta 2 doesn't have. And most of the ports is right on the front of the Bluetti AC180 instead of scattered all around the unit like the Delta 2. I won't be needing the expansion feature since those extra batteries will just take up space for what I'm trying to do. Plus, you can't plug anything into the Ecoflow's expansion batteries which doesn't make sense. At least with the Bluetti's expansion batteries you can plug in a 12v or a USB-C device to the battery itself. The Bluetti's solar panels are better in my opinion. The Ecoflow Delta 2's solar panels has this crazy looking stand which could hardly support the panel. As far as price, both units on Amazon (with the discounts applied) are still around the same price at just over $600 but The AC180 has more Watt hours than the Delta 2. It all boils down to what you need these units for and what you're looking to do. Overall, both units offer something unique to this space.

      You can read about LiFePo4 batteries or watch videos about them. They have a lot of advantages over lithium ion batteries. Since the battery comes with a 5 year warranty, you have 5 years for sure, but the info I have seen is the battery life with at least 80% rated effectiveness is 8-10 years. If it isn't used regularly, I would guess that could easily be eclipsed.

      I'm not sure about a 320 solar panel from Bluetti. I only see the 350W (PV350) on Bluetti's website. But that 350W panel has a Voc of 46.5V and Imp of 9.2A and those specs are compatible with the AC180's input specs of 12-60V and 10A. 10.8V DC is terrible and the 79% DC capacity is also way below "average". Several other reviewers report at least 13V DC and around 85 - 90% capacity for both DC and AC. Based on their results, I wonder if you have a defective unit or you have defective testing equipment, but you shrug your numbers off as low average results. Since you are late to the game in reviewing this product, I would think that you would have viewed some other reviewers results to compare to yours and questioned your results. Based on your test results, I would not purchase this Bluetti unit but based on other reviewers results, it looks like a really nice unit for the money.

      Yeah something wrong with that one I think! My AC180 pulled 1036 89.9% capacity. You do get a dud one from Bluetti from time to time, Prowse always said they're not as reliable as Ecoflow.

      @@cdonuts7335 EcoFlow are not particularly fantastic, when it comes to Dud's either. I just recieved a River 2 Pro that was defective out of the box. EcoFlow's customer support isnt great either... Might give Bluetti a try with the next one i buy.

      @andreyolenyk6253 no worries, my friend. They did it to me with the AC60...originally spec'd it as 2 years and then after I posted the video they changed it to 5 years. Definitely shows confidence in their product though!

      So is your thinking that we should have fewer review datapoints for people to make decisions? Would you assume that anyone who follows this channel by default follows those?
