Thanks for the video. I also love the combination of the Petrel pot, and Soto Windmaster w/Triflex. It was my goto stove combination this year and it worked well for me. An option to consider is to buy a Soto Windmaster with the Triflex from ZPacks for $70. That will save you $10 from having to buy the Triflex separately.
@@davepalmer844 pinning this comment! Excellent tip Dave! 🙌 Didn't know they sold that combo with the triflex already included 👍 Yeah I think this combo is one of the favs for backpackers for 2024 🙌
I have paired the Windmaster with the tri-flex with the petrel pot for most of my trips this year. It is a perfect combination. I still take the 4 pronged pot support when going out in a group to support my 1.4L titanium pot. It is a worthy upgrade for sure.
Great video. The Triflex has been in my saved cart over a year 😂 If I had the Fire Maple pot it would be a no brainer but the Windmaster, 4flex, lighter, and canister still fits in the 750ml pot so I like the stability.
@@rodoutdoors Thanks Rod! 😆 I think it was in my cart for just as long 😆 It's not a huge savings with the triflex and not really worth it without the pot.
@@semo7566 Thx for watching! I agree! 👍 The stability and fuel savings is definitely worth it for this combo 🙌 I think this is one of the favs for backpackers in 2024 🙌
Thanks for sharing. I'd like to offer some positive criticism.....Stop moving your hands around. On film it's difficult to see what you're holding because you're constantly moving things around. Place your camera facing the table with items laying still. A good rule of thumb is to pretend you're under water. Never move faster than you would under water.

Got the triflex when I got my Soto. It's been great with my UL kit!
@@HuckOutdoors Loving it! Thanks bud!

Seems like, lighter, quicker, and more compact. Worth it in my book.

Soto + triplex + petrol for the win. Over past summer, I saved unbelievable amount of fuel despite lots of windy trips. Don't even know where quad is
