I’ve been wearing Birkenstocks since I was like 15yo and I’m 40yo now and I’ve had a pair of Arizona sandals almost every decade. More women used to wear the Boston’s when I was younger but I just ordered a pair of those and Kyoto this year so I mean I’ll keep two pair until I die Most likely 🤷🏽♂️… they’re essential
Found this to be a really entertaining take on the shoe, you did a good job illuminating just how weird a trend it is. Also thought your point about timeless meaning something that goes in and out style but always come back was really interesting. Never thought of it that way, but I like that definition.
Trends aren’t the same as fashion. Trends come and go as fast as they come. Fashion is timeless, and about having good style regardless of whatever trend.
Birkenstocks have never been trend or fashion in my country Germany.. They have been orthopaedic to help people with stability and posture. There have always been considered a bit hippie as people wore them for comfort and not looks. This new fashion thingy is hilarious
Still have my Tokyos since 1999. No complaints. Bottomline, if you're happy then who da fuck cares about what people think. Just look at their "CROCS" and smile at them.
I hope Birkenstock “doesn’t” go main stream with large corporations, because that is when the product goes to crap (mass-produced & lacking quality). We would rather keep them classic & just the way they are.
My concern is: are they good for winter time? Do they keep your feet warm? I’m planning to buy em but I’m not quite sure about them Edit: I live in Southern Italy so it’s a mild climate most of the time
@@hunderskunder2596 Walking in clogs like these outside is only something of recent years. Back in the day people used them mainly for inside and around the house. It is trendy now so ofcourse they market them as an outside shoe to sell more.
Thanks for watching guys! Appreciate you all:)
I wore these to work almost every day to work since 2007 and I was always so comfy. I might have to retire that pair and finally get another.
Damn they really last that long
Yeah my thoughts exactly. Might have to get another pair of Tokyos. This time with the new Soft Footbed.
Maybe it's late, and you already bought a new pair, but Birkenstocks are easy to repair. Many cobblers do it.

Wore these in 2017-2018. Everyone made fun of me in school. Now it’s “cool”. I still chuckle, when I think about it
Hah dude it’s hilarious. No idea why they were out of style tbh
Birkenstocks were popular again in 2017-2018 so that’s strange that anyone made fun of you
@@alexiscollins5827 not the clogs . I remember everyone just rocking the Arizonas
Yeah the were in style back in mid 2000s. Everyone in highschool wore them
@@sachac theyve been out of style, you guys just have no personality and follow trends
Is that oiled leather tobacco brown?

Comfort and quality is making a comeback.
These aren’t that comfortable.
@@pjf2193 well they are
They’re really good shoes I wore them back when I was in high school 😎
I just brought that exact shoe, I love them.

I've been wearing my Boston's since 1988.
The real mccoy copies are pretty cool, the material on those is on a whole different level.
randomly bumped into your channel and wish nothing but the best all along! keep up the levels w/ the content❤️🔥
Thanks so much man! I appreciate you :)
birky bostons are beautiful.
Haha facts
What ones did you get?
I want to buy one but my concern is how is it if it's rainy season? also, is it hard to clean? I am planning to use it as my daily/go to shoes.

no sandals are not good for winter. get boots
With nice wool socks!!! It’s my favorite!, and so easy to slip on and off!
They are kind of made to wear inside the house.
@@KeepChessSimple they arent made to be worn in the house, they are for walking outside. but not in rough conditions.

First time I saw them on the street I was like: 'Wtf why would someone wear house shoes outisde?'
Thanks for the review but at least tell us the color you have and sizing.
The color is Tobacco Oiled Leather
You got a link for those socks? 2:32
I bought this color and I hate it so much and I’m waiting for mink oil to come in to try to darken them with oil.
What’s wrong with them I think they look good
Are these the tobacco brown piled leather?

@carpepedes3520 I only wear my bostons in the fall and winter and that's with socks! So very comfortable ♥️
@@amberscott5506 I have a pair of soft foot bed Arizona Birks that i wear with socks. It has a similar warmth and comfort. 😊
