I have that combo and I really like it. I had the squeel with the reel but it still casts a country mile with accuracy. The rod is good too but it's rated as a Medium Heavy; however, a 3/4 ounce lure bows the heck out of it - it's really a Medium rod instead. I broke the reel (MY fault) and could have went with a much more expensive reel but I ended up buying another Origin F1 reel to replace it. If the rod breaks I would probably go in a different direction to replace it; however, if I only had $125 to spend on a rod and reel as my only fishing rod I wouldn't hesitate to buy this combo again all day.
I must say, it's holding up pretty well for me. I usually stay around the 1/2oz or less mark with the rod because of that whippy tip. Just recently put some 30lb Beyond Braid on the f1 and boy does it launch.

I think I've got that exact same lews rod. XD Had it for 6 years and counting. I do really like the 13 rod for its price range. Gonna have to see how it handles the monsters once the spawn really kicks off.

What line were you using?
I believe I've got 20lb J-braid on there.
