There is an entire album "Bharathi" (2000 movie) composed by Maestro Ilayaraja. And then there is the soulful "Nalladhor veeNai seidhen" song in Marubadiyum movie. There was no need for that question / comparison by both the anchor and the guest. I do not think Ilayaraja's compositions (with lyrics of the great poet) are in anyway "lesser" to that of G. Ramanathan or M. B. Srinivasan (also the pioneer of IPRS).

IR tunes are beautiful and are either equal to or better than the former ones'. Earth will not stop spinning if they all accept IR did better!

It is by L. Vaidyanathan, LS's brother. LOVE that song, and for some reason, to me, it sounds similar to (not saying it is plagiarized) to GR's Aadivarum thendraliley sung by T. R. Mahalingam. Any idea? I wish to get a reply from a Carnatic enthusiast, or from Subhashree herself.

Ezhavadhu manidhan song is in the style of that song and tune also mostly similiar.yet ,voice ,beat, music arrangement made the later fine 👍if any mistake please ignore and I did not have any knowledge in music. 👍
