Interesting that PartinG and David Kim think the unit counters should be more punishing. Having a core well-rounded army that could still win against its counters by picking good fights was exactly what I liked about the game.
Maybe things get more stagnant at the highest level when opponents stop picking bad fights, so they would be right in that case.

This game looks super fun as far as unit combat and responsiveness goes, but it needs more maps, more terrain features (elevation, choke points, sight blockers, etc.), and greater diversity in unit visuals. Tech switches should cost less to unlock a greater diversity of units and army compositions for late game strategy. Additional upgrades to add new abilities and keep T1 units more relevant than being a cheap meatshield once mid-game hits would be nice.
