I like how you use the power probe cable as a power/ground break out box. That will be especially helpful under the dash to be able to use the cigarette lighter outlet adapter. Good stuff brother
I REALLY LIKED THAT DIAGNOSIS IT WAS A GOOD ONE ,,,, I SEE YOU USE MANY DIFFERENT POWER PROBES IN YOUR VIDEOS COULD YOU TELL ME WHICH ONE IS YOUR MEAN GO TOO OR MOST EASIEST ONE TO USE THAT GIVES YOU THE MOST INFORMATION IN A PINCH THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORT !!!
This was a great video on testing a basic circuit on today’s modern vehicles. I especially appreciated the demonstration with the test light on the engine block, a classic move from Paul at Scannerdanner. However, it's concerning that the independent garage in question couldn't diagnose such a simple circuit test, especially considering that these professionals are supposed to be well-trained. It highlights a broader issue within the industry: technicians working on customers' vehicles without a fundamental understanding of how basic circuits function. Additionally, some shops seem to overlook the value of service information (SI), making it challenging to accurately diagnosing today’s modern vehicles. I can imagine this customer being billed for a battery, starter, and potentially a makeshift wiring solution, reminiscent of Frankenstein's creation, linking the brake switch to the brake light circuit. This underscores the importance of understanding basic electrical circuits.
Man you haven’t worked on a hoarders car before. One where you can’t see out of any windows except driver front and front windshield.😢 This is nothing…
I just had a ranger with water underneath the carpet wetting a connector that goes to the rear lights and abs speed sensor. Symptoms were hit turn signal transmission hunts or slips gear, intermittent brake lights. Very fun diag!
This truck reminds me of an old day cab International that came in when i worked at an International dealership. Dude was an Indian dude i could barely understand through the accent, he smelled like he hadn't showered in weeks. I could smell the truck before i got to it. Ended up goin to the detail side of the shop and grabbing the plastic bag seat covers and the gloves they used to avoid touching the wheel, but the smell was so bad i stood with the door open on the running board and just idled it into the bay. Truck had like four piss jugs in it. No carpet, just white painted floor, stained yellow with a thick, sticky layer of piss and dirt. No kiddin dude had cut a big ass hole in the floor with a hole saw so he could piss while driving and not have to stop. Bottom of the cab was streaked with piss stains everywhere, and of course it had a blown airbag and busted shock mount on one corner, so everything i touched was possibly soaked in piss at some point. Pretty sure most of dude's smell and the crust on his pant legs was him missing the hole he put in the floor
They act like they can't wait to get back into that truck so they can add some more coffee cups on top of the ones that is in there. Where are they going to sit at now that the truck is fixed?
Never heard of a code that could hard lockout the brake lights. I guess the engineers were more worried about an electrical fire than stopping people from being rear ended?
HI , ITS NOT GOOD If the probe tip voltage is within 0.25 volts of the source battery voltage, the Red LED will illuminate and if the speaker is turned on, the speaker will emit a high-tone.

Finding that start relay ground issue on the ground wire on the ECM wow that was something to narrow that down so quick
ya the start relay deserves its own video
i has to rewind a couple times to understand what happened
@shawn2296 Sorry , I was frustrated at this truck; I should have explained it clearly.
i stll did'nt get that.
Got to wonder if these Customers/Garages are actually paying you properly for you time and expertise

I appreciate that!
First time I seen 12 V on a block kind of threw me for a loop, but going through scanner Danner premium I learned all about it✌️
Yes definitely got my fundamentals from @scannerdanner too!

A lot of Flat Rate guys don't like electrical diagnostic work - they don't make $$. Can't blame them.
Tremendous tutorial ! You work so fast ! I thought my video playback speed was on 2 X Speed ! 😆
Thanks mate . 👊🏼🔥
Thank you!
Excellent job man perfect example of testing 🎉
Thank you very much!
What a disgustingly filthy vehicle. I would not step inside it for repairs until the owner cleaned it.
I have worked on worse...
Man you haven’t worked on a hoarders car before. One where you can’t see out of any windows except driver front and front windshield.😢 This is nothing…
lol me too
What a disgusting PIG PEN. Parents never taught this person to clean up after their slob selves. Gross!
I sometimes go to fix forklifts and man this truck looks very clean to me, lol...

what a mess ... nice work. The more of a headache the less likely I am to record lol
Id at least clean the interior w a scoop shovel if i was gonna have someone fix it for me lol
Would a back hoe do the trick 🤣
You ate so pretty fast on diagnosis and fixing it, learn so many things
Wow you're fast! Great video, thanks for sharing 👌
Thanks for watching!
What a slob vehicle. Good job on the diag
Well done as usual, always enjoy your content my friend!! You help out lots of people on you tube!!
I appreciate that!
Hi that was great work! I wanted to ask what kind of table are you using?
Excellent video thank you for taking the time to share. 👍 Artie
Thanks!
I would like to see a video tour of your own tools truck and what it has :)
Noted!
What a mess, the wiring and that beautiful King Ranch just trashed,,,, hard to work in that mess, should charge extra for that
Have a doubt. That smal wire gorund. Is that enough for an engine ground. Normely it big gaged wire right?
That was a lot more fun than a clock spring ...

Smart! What is the extension cable that you use at 11:36?
It's a Powerprobe Extension.

Not gonna lie i would love a truck set up video i seen some things that i want for my truck😂

If you dont mind me asking. Where did you get your test light ?
Never heard of a code that could hard lockout the brake lights. I guess the engineers were more worried about an electrical fire than stopping people from being rear ended?
The truck does not look to be the healthiest. Hope the work they do does not reflect the condition of the truck.
appears so
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...............
Actually sad to see how dirty and neglected that truck is.
👍👍
I'd bet the only reason they took it to be fixed was because they got a ticket for no lights.
How is your test light configured wanting to make my own
I made a short on how I did it.

What test light are you using or was it modified for the jack in the power probe adapter?
I modified the end.

Great diag and repair.not sure I would have worked on that nasty pig though.
Unfortunately I've seen a lot worse.
I have as well keep on diaging
Sometimes it's very difficult to care about our customer's vehicles when it's clear that they don't care about it themselves.
Which tablet are you using? Man what a mess!
Panasonic Toughbook CF-33. I get them on ebay for $300 - $500.

Wait what about the 3rd brake light?
I was not climbing up that pile, the shop said they will check the bulb. I never heard back so I'm assuming it was blown.

How the hell do u charge that job.. I’m guessing 3 separate issues.. that’s what I’d probably do
💯
the 2013 ford f150 hS the stupid tur signal that does mot hold in place it was a design flaw
Hai bro love your videos plzz keep it slow.. Plz❤
I will never understand these people who keep their vehicles loaded with trash. Filty people.
HOpefully you loaded up on antibiotics before touching this thing
I think the shop just didn’t want to work in the junk hole
Well that, and it wasn’t a simple fix. That required skill.
The worst they are the harder they are to work on lol
I'm surprised people still buying fords vehicles. It's pure shit made to be broken in few years
