My parents influence spoiled my life. I was about to take MPCC group as I hate Biology. But my dad forced me to take Biology group. I loved to learn Physics. I was good in that. My 12th score is 196/200. As I was not able to do well in Biology exam, i scored low in Maths too which was next exam. I decided to do Bsc Physics, but again they forced me to do Engg. I thought ok lets do Mech. Again fate strike, my dad changed to EEE. Believe me in 1st sem I scored 86/100 in Engg Mechanics in which most of them failed. Then completed engg, while doing final year project i got interest in Electronics. Then I decided to set my career in electronics and started to learn Embedded C program in Bangalore. Again my parents played football in my life. As I was jobless for 3 months, they told relative and arranged for a level 3 software company interview and pushed me into that. Now after 12 years, i m still writing programs for corporates without any interest. All my dreams collapsed. To keep myself happy, now I m doing some small microcontroller programs and running it. So guys, please follow your dreams. Never let others to spoil it, esp ur parents.

Same situation.. I have completed engineering, and got an IT job.. My sister provoked me to take engineering, but I realised that I'm having interest in agriculture when I was in my 3 rd year, but I was completed without arrears and was in toppers list in my department..I'm not satisfied with my current job, I felt like something is wrong in my life... Now, after 2 years of my engineering, I'm going towards my interest and going to start up my own organic business soon, and I'm sure I'll achieve my goal... But one small request to all, before selecting ur ug, u must ask yourself, what u really want to become.. All the best to everyone for ur bright future 👍

When I was in 12th, My parents and relatives forced me to study MBBS, I was zero interest in doing medical studies.Everyone told that Engineering has no value now a days blah blah, I ignored them. I was interested in Engineering as I'm good in Maths and economics. So I choosed Civil Engineering. Now I'm a successfull Entrepreneur in construction field.

Same thing happened in my life.. with my parents pressure I joined engg and had arrears in all subjects..I had interest in designing..so fought with parents and discontinued my engg in 3rd yr and joined bsc.interior architecture.. it's been 5 years since I completed by interior architecture .my salary is 80k and earnings around 30-40k per month from personal projects..very soon gonna start my own business... more than a money ,I love what i am doing... Even my parents are proud of me. I m proud of the dare decision I tuk to quit engg, because I found architect inside me. Choose yours friends.. namma life.. namma semmaya vaalrathu romba mukkiyam...

I decided to study Electronics i was brainwashed by Catering Science HOD and selected that course ...After one week I felt this course is not suitable for me I told my father He immediately Came to college and fought and Changed my Department to Electronics..I had much intrest on Microcontrollers I developed many projects in college level Now I am working as Embedded Developer... your video will be really helpful for many students ☺

I partially agree your plan to help students pick their career, show them wide variety of opportunities and also guide them how to do that can make them excel. This will only work if the students have an inner thought on what they like and what they want to become. Just analyzing them and saying they have leadership, administrative, technical skills will never work. For example: In my life, only after finishing engineering and switched two jobs, I found what I need. Till my 10th and 12th I was clueless on what to do. I loved economics but at very later part of age. So the point is, your idea proves to be unsuccessful because these are the aftermath events dealt, when a kid chooses its career. We don't follow our parents dream blindly and take doctor/ engineering. The real reason behind is that our education and syllabus doesn't even give a thought to decide what we are good at. Creativity is destroyed as we are completely under parent's shell. 90% of students faces indecisiveness in even realizing what would work for them. So this will only bring a change if by 10 th standard, they have the potential to identify their interest. I bet without changing it nothing is going to work in a real time. Your efforts may tell them to become someone which they may never like at a later part of life. Rather than doing this, find someway to make them realize a child's self interest.

Bro I just completed 12th this year and I decided what I am going to do with my life at 10th based on self assessment which took a long time to analyse me and it's a very good pick my career hats off for this.I am going to do Bsc. Animation and digital film making bro and without any delay I started learning from my 11th,I am not obviously good at studies.All the best for other students

Such a great platform you decide for your country anne. Really great and appreciated for your team and you to bring such a great platform to choose. I'm one of the guy who choose wrong studies and pass by downs only in my life until I pick my right path. I have spend my 6 years for only to choose which is my right path. After realise it then I proceed with my right studies and I'm in the job which is satisfied me and helps me to show my real skills. Your idea is really great. Hope everyone use this platform for your children or your self to examine which person you are.
