- G.F. Handel's 6 Sonata, performed in Robert Jinks' senior saxophone recital at Geneva College.
I. Adagio
II. Allegro
III. Largo
IV. Allegro non troppo
Handel was a German born British composer who lived during the time of the Baroque period Although most known for his oratorios such as the Messiah, Handel wrote a number of violin sonatas during his lifetime. This 6th Sonata was transcribed by Marcel Mule and adapts very well to the melodic voicing of the saxophone.
I have to perform this in about 3 hours for a solo but I've been using it as a reference for months and it's been very useful and your tone is just so good. Thanks so much for posting it's really helped me and it sounds amazing!

Bethany Garcia Thanks very much!

Simply what my professor taught me, using the jaw.
1:57 is the second part
I'm working on this piece, I'm a Junior in High School. In the first movement i think there is some great work that you have put in. I think the Trills could use a little more shaping, by that I mean start slower with the trill and gradually speed up. I think it really adds some musicality.
Hola Robert muy buena tu interpretación. Podrias prestarme la partitura jaja
How do you have such good tone?
Practice. My professor drilled it into me. Lots of long tones helped immensely. Not fun to do, but long tones were such a good thing to add into practice sessions.
@@RobertJinks I’ll have to work on those a lot more, thank you!
