- The eighth wonder of the world - the Bahai Gardens Ensemble is part of the Baha'i Temple complex. The Baha'i religion is very young - just over a hundred and fifty years old - and yet it is widespread throughout the world. Baha'is firmly believe in one God, peace in the world, and the Baha'i Gardens seem to embody the beauty and harmony that should reign after blessed changes...
On the central terrace of the gardens there is a tomb, in which the ashes of the founder of the Baha'i church rest; nine terraces stretch from it to the top of the mountain and nine to the foot. And this magnificent cascade is covered with buildings of snow-white marble, bronze sculptures of birds and flowers, and, of course, a lush collection of plants, which are selected so that fragrant flowers cover the gardens at any time of the year...
The official opening of the Eighth Wonder of the World took place only in 2001. The gardens were erected solely on the donations of the Baha'is, and no material contributions were accepted from the uninitiated. But to take a walk in the shade of their flowering alleys and relax near the murmuring fountains, each visitor to the gardens has only one requirement - closed clothing. The upper and lower gardens can be accessed at certain hours and only with a guide. You can book a tour on the official website or join a group on the spot. But the entrance to the middle level is free.

I understand that Shogi Effendi, the Guardian of the faith, bought the majority of the land for the Gardens on Mount Carmel in 1950. It should have been apparent to him that some of that land must have belonged to the Palestinian Arab population which had fled Haifa in 1948 because of the massacrtes carried out by the Zionist terrorist groups the Irgun, the Stern Gang and the Hagenah, which eventually became the Israeli Defence (Offence) Force. The Palestinian Arab population in Haifa in January 1948 was 65,000. After the massacres on 21 and 22 April 1948, that population was reduced to 3,000. These people had fled to save their lives from the ultra aggressive Zionists. There had also been massacres in Haifa in 1937, and 1947.
As you probably know, 750,000 Palestinians were forced from their land in 1948. This was all to do with the threat posed by the Zionists to the life and limb of Palestinians by their reign of terror.
My question would be, how could a supposedly very intelligent and highly moral man buy land, when he knew that by the law of averages, some of that land must have belonged to dispossessed Palestinians.
I find it very oxymoronic that the Bahaii Faith has a building in the garden complex on Mount Carmel, called the International House of Justice. Despite the genocide being carried out by the Israeli State, the International House of Justice has said nothing about the massacres taking place daily in Gaza and the West Bank.
I understand that the Bahaiis dont generally comment on politics in any country. But surely this situation is above politics. I also understand a reluctance to comment, because your complex is in the belly of the beast and that beast could very easily turn on the Bahaiis and start slaughtering them. I suggest that you should get the majority of the volunteers to leave the complex and explain why Israel must stop slaughtering Palestinians.
Otherwise stand on the sidelines while the psychotic Israelis slaughter as many Palestinians as they can. If that happens, I am sure they will get around to Bahaiis at some stage.
They are beautiful gardens acting as a cover for a genocidal nation.

When I was a boy I always brought the watch I had as gift to the old man a baha'i to repairs for me and he always allowed me to watch his work! That is going back 54 years ago and me as a Muslim boy not known deffernt between christian Baha'i jew as my sister's best friends where those only jewish doctor daughters in my small town! Then come 1979 and the hate preaching government and I wonder always what happen to the good watch repairman. Now I am baptized Christian for 34 years and a statless since and believe in a Sinless God whom walk among us as a man and my pray is that we can have the same freedom soon to treat one with respect with out asking him what his belief is. Hope those children are dieing in the hands of government of hate because of not wearing a head cover bringing that hope to all of us whom lost our homeland to hate preacher's. Hopefully my wrong english grammer can be understood. 🙏

I always wonder where the water comes from to keep these massive gardens green in what is essentially a desert environment.
Glad to welcome you to my channel! Israel has a developed water supply system. The natural reservoir of fresh water is the Sea of Galilee. In addition, there are several seawater desalination systems in Israel. In August I plan to visit these gardens again, but with a guided tour.

Thank you for your attention! The lower and upper gardens are allowed to enter at certain hours with a guide. And the entrance to the middle level is free. I was filming there at a time when there were not many people, so as not to be distracted from the contemplation of this beauty.
