My wife and I are in our seventies and we just bought our first RV a 2021 Airstream 25 FB and a New 2020 Ford F-350 super duty 6.7 power stroke diesel truck . We are 100% satisfied and everything works so great . We live in Mobile, Alabama and we are going to spend the month of July traveling to Idaho . We bought our RV for traveling during the spring and summer . Hope to see y’all on the road . Happy Travel I know you will love your Airstream .

Oh man, downsize even further. We winterized our 40’ bus and took off in our 4x4 Roadtrek class b. I don’t think I will ever go back to driving anything longer than our van. Our adventures have gone to a whole ‘nuther level! People just don’t realize how big of a difference it makes.

That’s a heavy hitch but it’s a great one, biggest thing is we’re to store it after you get to your location... back of truck probably. Don’t drive around with it on, you will back into something TRUST ME I KNOW. LOL....

WOW!! We are SO HAPPY you got an Airstream. There's nothing better and we know that since we had one a number of years ago. You will need to purge a lot of stuff; and, if you do not know about Marie Kondo, you need to learn about her method of folding clothes. It will save you so much space and enables you to see everything so well. Enjoy your new home for many years to come. We have had a number of RVs, but our Airstream was the best of all. We had Class As, 5th wheels, travel trailers, popups, and even a backpacking tent. We can't wait to see next week's video. We are so happy for you.

Love the 33ft. Classic. That was the only Airstream that I thought would work for you since it has the desk. I guess one of you will work at the dinette. I can't wait for the "backing up" videos. ;-) Enjoy!!!!
Thank you Dave! Yes the plan is that Brian will work at the dinette since he is more flexible on where he can work. The benches are pretty cushy! The chair to the desk sits low and I have to use a pillow to sit on for now. Not sure why AS put that kind of chair to the desk. We hate to switch it out though because it matches the furniture and has storage under the seat cushion. We may have to modify my work area. 🤓
Airstreams are great they last and last. My parents had Airstream in the 70's and we pulled that thing everywhere. I now have a used (new to me, just really to big for our needs) 2004 Prevost XLII ex entertainer Hemphill Brothers star coach. I sold our Mercedes Sprinter Airstream Interstate GL 4x4 & we pulled a Airstream Base Camp for the kiddos to sleep in...I loved that combo and I miss it, we always turned heads everywhere we went because it was so unique. The Airstream product is the Newell or Prevost in the towing market. We had the baby version of your hitch (makes all the difference in the world). Congratulations!!!!!, amazing find. That is an awesome combo w/ a great choice for a truck....looks great. Have fun, tow safe

Congratulations! What a nice experience you had buying this beautiful trailer after the previous nightmare! Well deserved. My parents bought an Airstream that was used by a young couple for a year while they built their home as well. That was back in 1970! My brother now has it and it is still going strong with no major upgrades or issues. Best of luck to you both, I hope you enjoy it with many adventurous miles ahead of you.

She loves the desk space, window right in front, but the chair is really low. Not sure why they made the chair so low and not adjustable. She sits on a pillow right now. We hate to get a different chair because the leather matches everything else AND this chair has storage under it. 😂

You are going to love not having slides, no mold, critters, rain and easy to get in and eat at rest areas. In Florida a lot of mold. Easy to get in to camping sights with out slides and more picnic area. Our cousins removed their dinnet and put a table and chairs in. Looks like it all turned out for the best rig, congratulations.

I’ve seen some real horror stories around weight distribution hitches causing frame stress, where frames aren’t designed to have stress.

Whew! We have a fifth wheel and I thought a trailer would be easier but nope. Fifth wheel definitely easier. Looks complicated but you’ll probably get the hang of it after a few trips. It’s a good thing you recorded all that. It will be very helpful. I hope you practiced hitching and unhitching a few times before you left. It’s a gorgeous rig. Congratulations and have fun!

Y'all got 7 remotes on the counter, and everything inside is automated, actuated, or otherwise electrified, but were concerned about a powered awning? That said, nice rig, and great video! Congrats!
😂 Yeah the owner had a few extra remotes from other devices they had in it, so those extra remotes are no use to us. The rest of them go to the entertainment center with the projector, Bose sounds system, satellite/radio...and yes...we are very glad it had the manual awning. This model/year was know to have issues with the power awning.

Well if I ever bought a used Airstream, Vinnie would certainly be the guy I’d it from as he had forgotten more about airstreams than most ever know.
There will be a learning curve as with any rig. The Fords turning radius is not very tight. (Good move on the short bed as I drive a long bed at work and it’s a mess to drive around) and that’s a long trailer! But a very nice rig.
I run the same hitch and got about 12,000 miles on it. Made in Provo Utah! The headquarters is 20 miles from my home😜 the hitch does get loosened as it ages and easier to move around. I’d recommend a hitch tightener that takes some of the slop out of the hitch to the receiver and Illuminates the noise and prevents wear of the receiver.
Love the awning. Long and EASY and never a worry about it being stuck out.
Just remember GOAL. Get out and look! And run slow when turning and backing up is always the rule. I’d also recommend that once you arrive at your destination, just take off the Weight distribution bars before backing up. They make a ton of noise and sometimes fight your rig while backing up.

I must say, Vinnie (the man) was awesome. We pulled a 35’ Holiday Rambler Presidential travel trailer. We loved it and after RV traveling for over thirty years with three different HR’s, we sold it and ended our RV travels. We were blessed with safe journeys to thirty seven states with no issues other than one tire blowout. Hope you enjoy your new RV/truck - wishing you both Safe Travels!

Vinnie appears to be the true Guru of Airstreams - we've watched several videos that included Vinnie and he always has a solution for any trailer challenge. Enjoy, take it slow with the towing, it will be much different than the Class A , however gets easier with every mile. So happy for you two.

What a great feeling that is finally picking up your RV ... Same with us picking up our toy hauler without the TPMS.. Not only that, on the way home, we had to stop off at the polaris dealership and pick up our rzr .. then a additional 50 miles home. It's amazing what you remember what you forgot when you're already 60 miles out.
