You guys crack me up! My wife and I have been camping for decades, first tent, then travel trailer, and then motorhome. The food thing: I definitely suffer from being hangry from time to time. (understatement of the year) And when we went on our first trip in the motorhome, I will never forget my wife sitting the kids down and giving them dinner while I'm driving and the most MAGICAL thing happened shortly after that!!! A plate with chips and a PB&J sandwich appeared!! It was the first of many such sandwiches and they always are amazing b/c A: I'm usually hangry B: I don't have to stop driving!! Driving the fam around in a vehicle full of beds, a kitchen and a bathroom is simply one of the greatest ways to travel!!! :) Keep up the great stories guys, we're living vicariously through you for the time being! :)

Fully agree! Too few women even attempt the driving.
That was the best piece of advise I got when we got our 36’ TT in 2000. I never drove our class C (never a toad) for the 6 years.
Now I drive 50-50 with the hubby, and often better☺️. Currently on our second 26’ TT….. downsized after the 4 kids grew up💁🏻‍♀️
So let’s get more women to drive their rigs!!!

@@arbonneladyTN LOL You should see the look I get from guys when I step down from my truck. They aren't used to seeing a 5 foot something gal driving a 3/4 ton (now 1 ton for future upgrade) pulling a rig...sometimes with an ATV on a rack in the bed. George (my cat) hasn't gotten the hang of driving even though I keep trying.

We stayed at a Love’s RV spot in Tennessee. We didn’t have all the amenities , just electric and all back in spots. $30/night. It was perfect for an overnight stay before getting back on road. Very convenient and the staff was amazing
Supposedly they are wanting to put them at all the Love’s truck stop

As a trucker there is probably nothing more secure than a truck stop if any trucker sees that you guys are in any problem even if your truck broke down they will be there to help you at least the old school ones there are still plenty of those left like me that will go above and beyond to help and get the bad people gone!

My take on the RV stop. First easy to get in and out.
A second, big rig friendly Third level concrete pads. Full hook ups. Better than Truck stop parking and you can put your slides out. Sites are long enough to unhook if you want to but you don't have to. Just a few of my thoughts. I stayed in one in Georgia and it is a great overnighter for us

Not really. Iam a retired Florida law enforcement officer and you would be suspended at what goes on. I was a Trooper in south Florida and we made alot of arrest for prostitution, domestic violence and countless drug arrest. When I transferred to the panhandle and worked for the Okaloosa County Sheriff's office we made alot of arrest for human trafficking. If you do stay at a truck stop do not stay in the back. Try to stay as close to the main store as possible.

We look for Loves RV stops when we are in travel mode. Convenient as heck and FULL SERVICE, yeppers. that's a go for us. Got the app on our phone. Truck noises don't bother us when we are in travel mode b/c we are usually tired and we run a fan anyway. Wish there were more of them. No, it's not worth 60 bucks if you want someplace to stay for a few days, no way, but hey, quick overnight stays it works if you are out on the road w/no place to stay. Walmarts are not our favorite and they are getting fewer and farther between to stay there. We only hit one Walmart going out west from IL. that had overnight RV permission. Six others we asked, (just out of curiosity) said "Nada". Loves RV's are safe and we are really skeptical of staying at a lot of the "freebie sites" out there anymore. Been some shady places where we just pulled up and left b/c it was not safe, no hook ups, all sorts of creepy people around. Not gonna do that anymore.

The ones in Tennessee are like Nay Nay expected, literally just like reserved parking spots on the far side of the parking lot from the Travel Centers, most of them have only 5-10, one of them has 4, but they are $30-$45, not $60.

Funny that you pointed out pickle ball there as we have most recently gotten into the sport. We are early 40's and love it! Try overnighting in Welcome Centers usually close to state lines, or Rest Areas too! It's allowed in most states and It's really safe there as well because truckers overnight there too!! And of course Cracker Barrel if there's one in route!! Treat yourself to a decent meal 😋 👌
Also when I know we're going to be traveling for several days I prepare numerous meals ie... sloppy joes, pot of soup or chili, egg salad and tuna salad for sandwiches, etc... It keeps us out of the fast food restaurants and saves us money 💰 🤑
    Happy Travels!✌

Living with a wife and 2 kids who are deaf trying to sleep early to give a work at 3 o'clock it's kinda hard thay dont know how to be quiet. they don't know how to be quiet. I wore them since I was 18 years old on my 1st job I'm now 68 retired and I wore them every day of my life going to work at work and for sleepin bed I can hear a pin drop. Figuratively speaking. I have a very slight ringing of the ear because of old age other then that I'm very grateful that I can hear.

I love your channel but as a local driver nowaday coming from a OTR background hope RV wouldn't use our spots. Unless its paid spots then its fair game as far I am concern. Keep in mind if you buy a parking spot from truck stop and its late in the day and all them are taken. A truck stops 99% will not force the truck driver to move even if he didn't pay for the spot and you did. This has happened me a few times as OTR driver. Big deal for truckers is we don't have alot places to park in fact thats one the bigger issues truckers have to deal with

P.S. Our strategy on overnight stays is to pick a place to fill up closest to our destination with a fast food and get dinner to go. Then get to our camp site and set up for the evening without having to cook. Some times we get lucky to be able to walk to a breakfast place before eating breakfast, but frozen waffles and fruit are also good to go easy breakfast to have on hand.

How well lit was the site for pulling in? Easy to see everything or do you absolutely need a carl runner

So does any one know… do you have to book ahead of time? Because I would think you could book last minute 🤷🏼‍♀️

Should have left out all other stuff and bring the price down to around $20.00 to $30. It will make more sense. 😁😁😁

60 dollars a little expensive but better than trying to stay at a hotel and it's full hookups so let 'ur rip. We are Chick Filet people but Arby's works.

Best $20. I ever spent was on a sound machine to play white noise at night to sleep.

    Hey ya'll ❤️❤️❤️
I think the $60 price tag comes as a result of the 'emergent need' factor. They know in a pinch, so many people would pay for that, amenities included or not :) love you both!!!

The convenience, abundant amenities and automation all make the Loves site look like good value. The Hanks always give an entertaining, yet informative, presentation. So many other vloggers eventually devolve into narcissistic, patronizing, ignorant hypocrites. Their on-scene delivery is friendly and welcoming; never arrogant. I have never regretted becoming a subscriber to their channel. Keep up the good work. Thanks Hanks.

Funny thing is I’m a trucker for 28 years so when I hear engine noise and train horns I sleep good. And sleep through it all night. I sleep better in my truck than I do at home.

Don’t have a camper but I’m addicted to watching y’all. Love y’all’s personalities. I swear if I ever see you guys in person y’all gonna think I’m crazy. 😂😂 because I’m going to act like I know you. Lol. I look at the truck stop I pass every morning to see if ”D” is there. Dam that sounds stalker-ish. Seriously tho, love the content. And would probably just leave note since I pass sooooo early heading to work. Can’t be late for the grind. Lol. You guys are awesome. Team HANKS. no favorites. Love you both.
