    In the original statement, the defendant stated the victim pushed her to the ground. On the ground, she threw the knife at the victim, hitting him in the chest. The knife penetrated his chest roughly 6" and severed an artery leading to his death. So, her statement is that she threw a knife with such force that it managed to penetrate ribs to a depth of half a foot.

    That poor man. No one deserves to die at the hands of their abusive partner/family member. It is 100% common for a narcissistic abuser to blame the victim as being the abuser. I was the child of a narcissistic, abusive mother. Even as a child, into my teens, she told people it was ME abusing HER (I never so much as pushed her, let alone hit her), and people believed her, because narcissists/abusers get real good at their narratives and surrounding themselves with people who will support them.

    • @aliceiscalling
      @aliceiscalling 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      My sister likes to say that her toddlers are triggering and abusive to her. Her triggers boil down to the kids existing or people asking her to be responsible despite her previously being desperate to conceive them. Oh, and she "self medicates" and hop skips between therapists when they begin to question her. Luckily no one believes her, but that might be because her 11/10 level BPD (actual diagnosed BPD) is very obvious.
      Clinical crazy plus "self medicated" use is dangerous as heck and takes everyone down with them.

      It must be harder than it looks in the movies to stab someone. There’s clothing, skin, facia, muscle, bone - a lot of resistance to push a knife through. Then I would assume the victim would be fighting back and defending themselves. It’s an up close, personal way of ending a life. How something like that could be an accident is something I cannot understand. Anyone who can explain this to me would be most welcome.

    • @lemagicbaguette1917
      @lemagicbaguette1917 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@annenelson5656 I cut myself with a bread knife pretty badly. I wasn't using much of any force at all to cut my baguette.
      Besides, a stabbing typically only works when the assailant is stabbing in places without much bone, such as between the ribs, the gut, or the neck. Flesh is rather easy to push through because of the acutely pointed nature of the knives typically used. Their thin profile also helps part the flesh easily as a greater pressure can be exerted.
      It's like trying to put a nail into a block of wood in comparison to a block made from that nail's component metal. For the same force, the nail goes in much further, with or without a hammer.

    It’s truly horrifying to me the amount of times women kill their partners and claim DV when THEY were the abusers. I know my sister did that, she just didn’t off her bf.
    They were in another state and my sister calls us up telling us he’s been hitting her. Fam and I immediately get her a train ticket and drive down to Colorado to get her. The entire time she was here, she was calling herself a victim of DV, a battered woman, etc.
    Eventually she wanted HIM to move in with US.
    I asked her why we should house her abuser. She ONLY THEN told me SHE has been the one hitting him when she got too “worked up” and her bf throwing her own stuff (a heavy bag) at her was the extent of the damage he caused her.
    This is just a SNAPSHOT into their hellish relationship and her lying tendencies.

    Personally I would be very upset to see her sentenced to life in prison. Why punish the taxpayers for her crimes?

    Coffeehouse Crime did a pretty good overview / analysis of this case about a year ago. Glad to hear there's been an update!

    Well, remember that a woman who stabbed her bf 108 times got probation, so...

    the reason she wanted to get a restraining order against him first is because he could have her evicted from her own home in less than a day if he filed one against her. It's not about 'being first' in the sense I got from Atozy's tone. I like Atozy's videos but this particular detail may be important if your sponsor is a law firm...
    Note: i do not support this woman's actions, behavior, or choices. it is beyond frustrating that men being abused by women are so often discredited and ignored and that needs to change.

    I love how the parents are also trying to act like her ex didn't come forward about her stabbing him and abusing him. And them paying him off to not have her arrested.
    She abused that man for years, in front of friends and family. Until her friends and his family my started to call the dept to tell them how violent she was, they weren't even gonna hold her accountable for her disgusting actions. Calling the police the night before she kills him to say she wants a restraining order first. That's sick and planned.
    She even had the audacity to keep reposting content on her channel of him saying that he didn't like black women because they were difficult (and other disrespectful things toward black women) and she did this trying to get the black community to not care about his murder.
    Not gonna lie as a black woman at 1st I kinda felt like that. Until I (like a lot of other outlet) realized the post were coming from HER pages. Then there was a lot of attention paid to her. She didn't have any emotions after she realized that crying wasn't getting her freed, she turned to emotionless stone like the sociopath she is. I hope they put her under jail, for life.
    But let's me real, she won't get any real time and if she does they will not make her do any real time.
