I have my F10 for over a month, I was happy with the sound quality of the Harman Kardon system…But something in my kept telling me that it could be better, Now i found this video, everyone in the comments is saying its allot better with your settings, but its like 4 in the morning i dont want to wake my neighbours up while im testing your settings 🤣…Thanks for the video brother !

Just came across your video. I am picking up my new 2014 (new to me) 318d Sport GT tomorrow. I'll throw these settings in when i get it now and I can't wait. I have been driving my last vehicle for 3 years without a working stereo, it's going to be a world of a difference!

I just set these setting and no matter what I listen to, it all sounds good...thanks for this video man...i also thought I needed bigger subwoofers because I could get the bass right untill I tried your setting...again thank you.

Mario Enrique Ramos I used the M4 spec: 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 no rubbing and I am on Msport adaptive suspension

Got a f11 befor without HK and now I got an G08 with HK and was very disappointed because it soundet much worse. Tried your settings and now it is doing much better. Will See if I have to adjust more in the next days. Thanks for sharing. Grretings from Germany

Just want to say, THANKYOU. F90 m5 I had a play with the settings but ended up with crackling at certain points in songs, thought I'd broken my speakers but your eq setting has the car sounding like a completely dif sound system! Defo doing my m135i the same say

I'll give it a try in my 328d with the Harmon Kardon S688A rig.
I already have the EQ set for the typical what they call the rock n roll "smile" which is pretty much universally the best for any EQ setup... but I'll try your curve.
I just installed a Car Play adapter and it has made the hugest difference.. unbelievable difference in sound quality

Changed it back to: 100hz+3to4, 200hz+2, 500hz+1, 1khz+0, 2khz+0, 5khz+2, 10khz+4
lay this graph on it's side and it looks like a "smile". Pretty good starting place for any EQ.
most of these folks didn't even know there were settings that could be adjusted.
Again, the night/day difference was adding a Car Play adapter where my phone takes over the BMW screen and functions seamlessly. Sounds awesome.

So I adjusted my EQ to the exact positions. Maybe it’s in my own head but it’s sounds amazing. The bass is much stronger and I feel like I can hear the separation of the instruments more than before. My speakers don’t say Harman Kardon but I assume they are since I have the 16 speakers, EQ and surround sound. Thanks very much for this. The real test will be when I drive with my daughter and blast some Harry Styles ! Thank you !

@What's your Forte ? Hey so I got the car, and I'm having issues with the speakers, I hear some rattling, and a bit of distortion in two speakers, and I don't feel the bass at all at high volumes, is this the same with your car, or should I add some subs.
Also with most electronic songs there’s no distortion at all and it’s perfect but with rap I just can’t enjoy it
@@kuzonai8436 sounds like the previous owner enjoyed the speakers too much... 2016 it should be cover under new car warranty if so I would take it to a dealer and have them look at it

Definitely bass heavy and killed the low end mid range with this set up. Interesting set up.
I think it reacts differently on the different versions of the Hk system

GlenNYC setting with some deviation. I used the same setup in my f30 and now in my G30 . I leave my treble to centre and bass to plus 5.
Woo - I got a brand new 440 and since I got it there has been terrible rattles coming out of the dash, etc. I am going to try these settings and do some other troubleshooting before I take this in on warranty.
Yeah you may have a blown speaker
3.15..you need to set balance a little away from the driver(two dots) and fader 3 dots rear..you will get a "Dolby" type sound setup.

Found this and just did in on my x4mc w/harmon kardon omg finally my system sounds perfect. I have my treble and bass on max though , but exact equalizer.

Year of construction: 2019
Problem description:
I have trying to enable the M mode via expert settings, I have carried out the following
1) I went into the head unit
2) went into expert mode and enabled these three.
HUD sportanzeige enable
HUD sportanzeige fes enable and
HUD sportanzeige ms gasse enable
3) went to instrument cluster and then in expert mode
Then into FZG_Ausstattung but then was unable to find the following
HUD sportanzeige enable
HUD sportanzeige fes enable and
HUD sportanzeige ms gasse enable

I am not 100% sure if the difference. I have used these settings in other HK systems and they sound good.

great video man, just tried these settings out and made a huge improvement. Quick question for you, are you running wireless carplay, aux , or usb digital? I'm trying to get the very best sound quality I can get, which one would you say is the best for sound quality?
Glad you liked the settings. Direct connection is always going to give you the best sound. You always loose some quality on any over the air connection.

Sometimes I turn the bass up and the treble down. Also turn the 200 down a little in the eq settings helps a little

Today I adjusted the sound according to your video. It is just perfect man. :) Thanks man. Have to tell you that my equalizer is a bit different, I mean the graphic design. :) Anyways, now it is just like it should be. It is better than Bose, at least that one in Opel. :) I had also Bose in Alfa Romeo, but it was a long time ago...

Going to change my settings now. My 2019 I just bought with premium sound sounds like crap. I have a 2018 Infiniti with a Bose system that sounds twice as good. Hope this helps. Thank you.

HK in my F15 X5 sounds incredible with these settings. Why BMW would build a system capable of sounding so good and then default to a flat EQ is beyond me!

Hi thanks for the video. Would these settings improve the sound on a 2013 750Li FO2 ? My speakers don’t actually say “Harman Kardon” but it is the “Premium Sound System” with 16 speakers, EQ, surround sound etc.. Do you know if it’s actually a Harman Kardon system? Thanks for your help.
I think it should. I have heard others say it has worked out for them. If you don’t like them you can also reset your settings to default
