Tours is a small city. No tramway is needed. Buses are enough

Trams are okay. Trams are more environmentally friendly than Buses.
Also a city of 490000 inhabitants probably needs a tram. In Germany there are cities with a lot less people in it still they have tram systems.

Indeed, this tram is way too big for a small city like tours. It's a small urban area that is more rural than anything else. This transportation system was not needed at the time but the former mayor chose it anyway. A shame...

Les bus à tours avant le tramway assuraient le même service. Les lignes de bus n'ont jamais été saturées bien au contraire. Le choix du tramway fer a été opéré pour concurrencer Orléans qui avait mis en place sa première "nouvelle" ligne de tram-fer en 2001. La mode renouvelée du tram "nouveau" millésime en quelque sorte. Tours est d'une part une commune de faible densité urbaine et d'autre part de faible superficie. Le tramway s'insère très mal dans une trame viaire inadaptée. Il faut être rationnel, merci à tous.

Plutôt d'accord. De toute manière maintenant Tours est une métropole. Le discourd de William me fait penser à un conservationniste qui veut pas que sa petite ville grandisse parce que olala c'est pas bien. De toute manière maintenant on est presque 300'000 (source: www.agglo-tours.fr/index.php?idtf=178 parce que apparemment il faut toujours les citer sinon c'est pas valable), tu y changeras rien je pense.
