Yes, but the excuse for not knowing this has now passed. WG have again and again made it clear what is allowed and what is not. They have given in game notifications and links to their fair play policies that people have to agree to abide by. No excuses now. This guy thought no one would notice.

Incorrect. Changes to the local client does not depend on any API at all, and is in fact very very hard to stop. So disabling the API normal mods use would do next to nothing in terms of preventing stuff like this.
Some of your past videos probably had aimbot as well. I remember a video where someone used autoaim to track a moving target at close range, but the aimbot was aimed ahead, instead of on the tank. It wasn't compensating back and forth like in this video, but it was still an assist. It wasn't as blatant, because they actually aimed, but it was useful for the exact circumstance.
Hey Dez, quick clarification, Aimbot cannot affect RNG, it can look for weakspots, it can figure out the best part to shoot in real time taking into account the targets angling, it can predict lead, but it cannot influnece RNG, that is in the hands of the server as always. Fun fact, till 12 to 18 months ago, there were 2 separate aimbots, one that only predicted lead from the center mass of the tank and another one that calculated effective armour in real time for STATIONARY targets, and the funny thing is you could not use them both at the same time, you had to choose. But for some time now, they managed to combine them:( oh well, aimbot doesnt resolve the biggest skill that unicum players have, and that is positioning and timing, so only muppets use aim bots
Yep, it really does give me headaches seeing people complain that aimbots allow people to pull off lucky shots, one of the reasons I quit this game is because I can't stand talking to people that complain about aimbots all day.

Deimnos that is wrong my friend had one mod its kinda aim bot so he did it for fun had it 2 or 3 games and well he never missed or failed to pen the shoot only thing you had to do is auto aim the target so we wanted to test it he was in arty I picked my ru251 as a target and I was going to get close enough driving full speed going left to right and when he spoeted me he rightclicked and fired and one shoot so ok luck could be so we were to test it again but this time someone else will spot me bang oneshoot one kill then as last test he was in his light tank on malinovka i was in the window with god old wtauf pz 4 he spoted me used auto aim 3 shots 3 hits next someone else spoted me so he was around 300 meters again shots pened its fine but they hited me whillle he was going full speed after that he played 3 games and deleted it
They just want to be best, to be in that few % of people knowing full well that they can't get there through talent or hard work (laziness), it gives them an over inflated ego, gets them some street credit, maybe to get some acceptance that they can't get in the real world. I once downloaded modpack that I didn't know had aimbot, it didn't help at all... just makes you a worse player. Always check what you are downloading!

I won't say that in WoT it makes you play worse, because in this game it seems to be the exact opposite. You lot the aimbot do all the aiming stuff, and this way you can focus on doing other things such as thinking about where the ennemies are coming from and such things. But an aimbot in other games indeed makes you worse because you become dependent on it.

Dez, I know you don't want to show the name of the player for some reason, but that is exactly what you should be doing. Expose the aim-bot user completely, or don't show the replay. As of now, this video is basically a really awesome promo for the aim bot developer with nothing bad coming from it.

I understand Dez's intentions may have been purely good and this does indeed show the difference between what a aim-bot is and isn't. However, the reason it might end up being a unintentional promo for the aim-bot is that some players will see the video and want the aiming assistance after seeing that it can actually lead targets, pick out weakspots, and even fire at unspotted enemies after they go dark. If you can't realize that's a possibility then I really don't know what to say.
But it's very clear WG *doesn't* search for and ban cheaters beyond the bare minimum effort. If they did then a good number of the "name" clans out there, along with a significant percentage of the Russian and Chinese server populations, wouldn't be around any more. Cheating is rampant in WoTs, but WG won't really do anything about it because those people spend money.
A proposed idea: if team killers go blue, cheaters should go yellow or something of that nature. Also, for those that suicide instead of fighting it out (last remaining tank for example) have a flag placed onto the tank for art to see. Just a thought.

There are much much more people that use aimbot than most assume. I know entire clãs using this and most of them say that if they do not use it is a disadvantage against others that use it.
I googled aimbots and one of them is called "Autoaim SAE". That is what they are using. You can set it to lead the moving target, target the tracks, hull or turret. There is also a "tundra" cheat that is popular in strongholds and clan wars. It will show a blip on the mini map if enemy tanks run over destructible objects like trees, buildings, fences, cars etc even when not spotted. It really helps in strongholds to know where the other team has deployed. That is one of the worst cheats as it really ruins strongholds because knowing where the enemy group went makes a big difference in those game modes. In pubs, the tundra cheat is not of much benefit.
I remember in Path of Exile game there was a guy who used a bot to farm one area for unique item I think. Developers saw it and renamed his char and took his inventory. it was named Old_Man_with_a_bow or similar. got renamed to old man with a bot:)

I suspect warpack is actually being sold for wargaming. Everybody knows it's out there but there it still is. Wargaming claims it's impossible to hack their servers but how else could it do what it does?. I know of 3 different aimbot mods out there that are technically illegal but they are still for sale. The ultimate pay to win.
its because they allow mods and addons. Same with world of warcraft. It gives you a little bit of leeway in modifying the game. Do you know if those people buying those aimbots are getting busted? That person probably only got a day or week suspension. WG 'has tools and methods to find and stop cheaters' but they don't care, as long as premium tanks are being bought as fast as they can be shit onto a piece of paper and modeled. Jacob Brix In fact, their system works pretty well. In last campaign (Corrida), I had a few players of the clan I was in at the time that used illegal mods (extended right click in their case). This is when the first wave of bans occured. Even if not all of them got caught and banned, most of them were. And after this wave of ban, I saw (I was a strater) a huge drop if level in some clans that used to cheat and deinstalled their mods when they saw WG finally acting.

Kinda simple way to find aimbots: Is aim following the mouse? - No - is aim locked on target? - No - Aimbot suspected, after getting multiple(maby even one, depends on the ammount of work the admins have) of these admin gets the replays. If any of the answers was yes, then there is no problem. After the suspect is found, if the code is very good, it plays the suspected instances to a human admin.
Happy WG is doing something about it, but it never really bothered me as there is nothing I can do about it. I just do my thing and support good honest game play and honest streamers as yourself.

This is still used widely. Personally I use a mod that shows the last three rounds that takes me out. More than a few times I see two or three rounds hitting the exact same area. A shot grouping so tight that it should never happen by the same tank as the randomness in the game is what it is. It’s gotten to the point that you either quit playing, jump to War Thunder or join them. WOT needs to turn off the reticle server access. It’s the only way to stop this

Locking on unseen targets is not actually an aimbot, auto leading is definetly aimbot but there are mods which just locks on to the closest target to your cross hair and are legal. As I can remember such a mod was a part of promod for a very long time. It is very helpful when you are trying to circle someone in a fast tank because it can be very annoying to snap onto the target while circling them. I also use it. It autolocks onto the target which is within the big circle in your screen. Its not aim bot, the standart auto aim just easier to snap onto the target.

Je pense par ailleurs que rencontrer des joueurs utilisant des cheats en bataille est assez courant, même si on ne s'en rend pas compte. D'après mon expérience voici quelques avantages et désavantages. Avantages: les tirs longues distances avec des obus lents sont faciles, pour les débutants permet des viser les points faibles, aide énormément à réaliser des quick shots parfais et rapides. Désavantages: vise parfois trop les weak spots quand non-necessaire(ex: vise la tourelle d'un rhm) cela conduit à des tirs parfois ratés bêtement, ne pense pas comme un humain (heureusement) prévoit moins les mouvements. Cela pour dire que les avantages sont énormes mais que cependant un bon joueur peut faire de même. Je rappelle donc, tricher est interdit et en plus il suffit de s'entraîner pour arriver au même résultat. PS: pour ceux qui se le demandent, j'ai desinstalle les mods après une semaine d'utilisation et ne l'ai fait QUE pour vérifier les rumeurs et pas pour mes stats. Bonne soirée
This seems to be a recent cheat, I seen some KV-2 oneshotting people at angles they shouldn't be able to, but thankfully this is a rare thing to see and WG actually does something respecting this problem. Sometimes it's hard to tell if you don't see the replays because of RNG.
I played against Aim Bot yesterday. I was in my IS-7 60km/h down hill. Enemy Kranvagn fired 3 shot all of than in the same exact point, distance was 450m. I wiggle my tank angle as best I can after 12k battles in IS-7.
I was invited to play in a clan, and one guy on TS openly said he used aimbot when he was having a shitty game and wanted to pen some tanks. I never played with that clan after I heard that. There are probably lots of different motivational reasons out there.
I have noticed recently the number of ammo racks and fires have increased in randoms and in Clan wars not long after the last patch was released. Seen a few select shots after looking at replays of shots going through rocks! appears the aim bots are back. I support the use of mods passive mods such as used in the garage which cant harm in game play WG are slowly bringing these in.
I don't know if this could have been RNG or possibly the aimbot, but did anyone else notice how many fires he started? To be fair it was mostly on the KV tanks which have HUGE fuel tanks, but still

i think you're misunderstanding a important thing. Aimbot just manipulates where your tank is aiming, but not where the shell goes. This is important, because is the server, and only the server, the one who decides where the shell goes.
Good video indeed. I have limited hopes that this will prevent most whiners from incorrectly claim cheats though. What really boggles the mind is how stupid someone must be to publish proof against themselves like this replay. If I were running such mods, at the very least I would have the brains to not publish replays showing it lol Fact remains that WG has limited ability to detect cheats. The few times cheaters like this one has been caught is either when they incriminate themselves with replays such as this one, or paid cheats have their customer records leaked (like was the case in the very first ban wave) Personally I consider this a very limited problem though. First of all, 95% of the success in this game is based on positioning and situational awareness. Actual aiming is far less important, and something most decent players do very well manually anyway. Secondly, I do belive the amount of such cheats being fairly limited. Most people who invest a lot of time and money into their accounts will not be wanting to risk so much. And most of those who do seem to be among the weaker players anyway, in which case I really do not care.

The Spartan If those mods don't help you, uninstall them. MM and artillery surely are a problem, but all players have to face them, so it's not unfair. Gold shells aren't a problem at all. Your mods really break the game, which is the reason why they're forbidden.
i love how players complain about cheaters/ hackers in WoT but then keep playing give other games a try like Armored Warfare they don't release there codes so it's much harder to mod/hack

I don't understand why people take the fun out of the game by using these mods. Learning how to shoot well, lead shots and predict enemy movement and positions to be able to make blindshots has actually been one of the most fun parts of the game for me. The satisfaction when you succesfully predict the movement of the enemy scout and take him out with a single shot with your TD is extremely high.
that kill on KV-2 was pure luck. I had a battle with UDES where i did about 2,5k dmg and ~2000 of those were out of siege mode. If you get close and personal, it's possible even with tier 9 and 10(and tier 8 premium)

Deimnos that is wrong my friend had one mod its kinda aim bot so he did it for fun had it 2 or 3 games and well he never missed or failed to pen the shoot only thing you had to do is auto aim the target so we wanted to test it he was in arty I picked my ru251 as a target and I was going to get close enough driving full speed going left to right and when he spoeted me he rightclicked and fired and one shoot so ok luck could be so we were to test it again but this time someone else will spot me bang oneshoot one kill then as last test he was in his light tank on malinovka i was in the window with god old wtauf pz 4 he spoted me used auto aim 3 shots 3 hits next someone else spoted me so he was around 300 meters again shots pened its fine but they hited me whillle he was going full speed after that he played 3 games and deleted it

They just want to be best, to be in that few % of people knowing full well that they can't get there through talent or hard work (laziness), it gives them an over inflated ego, gets them some street credit, maybe to get some acceptance that they can't get in the real world. F2P games will have this problem for as long as they're "free", I bet they wouldn't do this if it was a paid account only game!
@DezGamez, maximum respect for you, despite it being a replay of an aimbot usage, you still "analyze" the game and tactics and give commentary accordingly, without any "harsh" or "insulting" words...

I once downloaded modpack that I didn't know had aimbot, it didn't help at all... just makes you a worse player. Always check what you are downloading!

@Dicka He means that the Aimbot program make you worse cause you're dependent on it, when patches come out that aimbot doesn't work for a few days and without most cheaters cant hit a barn with a bazooka.
I won't say that in WoT it makes you play worse, because in this game it seems to be the exact opposite.
You lot the aimbot do all the aiming stuff, and this way you can focus on doing other things such as thinking about where the ennemies are coming from and such things.
But an aimbot in other games indeed makes you worse because you become dependent on it.

Dez, I know you don't want to show the name of the player for some reason, but that is exactly what you should be doing. Expose the aim-bot user completely, or don't show the replay.
As of now, this video is basically a really awesome promo for the aim bot developer with nothing bad coming from it.

I understand Dez's intentions may have been purely good and this does indeed show the difference between what a aim-bot is and isn't.
However, the reason it might end up being a unintentional promo for the aim-bot is that some players will see the video and want the aiming assistance after seeing that it can actually lead targets, pick out weakspots, and even fire at unspotted enemies after they go dark. If you can't realize that's a possibility then I really don't know what to say.
But it's very clear WG *doesn't* search for and ban cheaters beyond the bare minimum effort. If they did then a good number of the "name" clans out there, along with a significant percentage of the Russian and Chinese server populations, wouldn't be around any more. Cheating is rampant in WoTs, but WG won't really do anything about it because those people spend money.
A proposed idea: if team killers go blue, cheaters should go yellow or something of that nature. Also, for those that suicide instead of fighting it out (last remaining tank for example) have a flag placed onto the tank for art to see.
Just a thought.

Nice vid Dez, WG could be rid of all cheaters by getting rid of the ability to add mods to the game. WG are catching up and putting into play what non cheaters are using anyway. I play on the SEA server and the amount of cheating in most games is crazy.

There are much much more people that use aimbot than most assume. I know entire clãs using this and most of them say that if they do not use it is a disadvantage against others that use it.
I googled aimbots and one of them is called "Autoaim SAE". That is what they are using. You can set it to lead the moving target, target the tracks, hull or turret. There is also a "tundra" cheat that is popular in strongholds and clan wars. It will show a blip on the mini map if enemy tanks run over destructible objects like trees, buildings, fences, cars etc even when not spotted. It really helps in strongholds to know where the other team has deployed. That is one of the worst cheats as it really ruins strongholds because knowing where the enemy group went makes a big difference in those game modes. In pubs, the tundra cheat is not of much benefit.

I remember in Path of Exile game there was a guy who used a bot to farm one area for unique item I think. Developers saw it and renamed his char and took his inventory. it was named Old_Man_with_a_bow or similar. got renamed to old man with a bot:)

I suspect warpack is actually being sold for wargaming. Everybody knows it's out there but there it still is. Wargaming claims it's impossible to hack their servers but how else could it do what it does?. I know of 3 different aimbot mods out there that are technically illegal but they are still for sale. The ultimate pay to win.
its because they allow mods and addons. Same with world of warcraft. It gives you a little bit of leeway in modifying the game. Do you know if those people buying those aimbots are getting busted? Because legally ints not illegal to sell/make them, just wargaming says you cant use it in their game. Which is why the vendor can still keep on selling them
This reminds me of that time I had an enemy tank put 5 shots into a single point on the copula of my M103 from hundreds of yards away. 5 shots. 1 hole in the exact middle of my copula. I was tactically moving and hull down. Yeah. I believe in Aimbot.

WG 'has tools and methods to find and stop cheaters' but they don't care, as long as premium tanks are being bought as fast as they can be shit onto a piece of paper and modeled. ...the problem is that there are even worst cheats: tundra gives you an easier game to be played as you can see trough any bush/tree... you'll see good players wiggling their crosshair trying to find a visible part of a tank covered by bushes... and cheaters simply aiming and directly finding the vulnerable spot... cause for them there is no bush covering the target...

Jacob Brix In fact, their system works pretty well. In last campaign (Corrida), I had a few players of the clan I was in at the time that used illegal mods (extended right click in their case). This is when the first wave of bans occured. Even if not all of them got caught and banned, most of them were.
And after this wave of ban, I saw (I was a strater) a huge drop if level in some clans that used to cheat and deinstalled their mods when they saw WG finally acting.

Kinda simple way to find aimbots: Is aim following the mouse? - No - is aim locked on target? - No - Aimbot suspected, after getting multiple(maby even one, depends on the ammount of work the admins have) of these admin gets the replays. If any of the answers was yes, then there is no problem. After the suspect is found, if the code is very good, it plays the suspected instances to a human admin.

Personally I use a mod that shows the last three rounds that takes me out. More than a few times I see two or three rounds hitting the exact same area. A shot grouping so tight that it should never happen by the same tank as the randomness in the game is what it is.
It’s gotten to the point that you either quit playing, jump to War Thunder or join them.
WOT needs to turn off the reticle server access. It’s the only way to stop this

Locking on unseen targets is not actually an aimbot, auto leading is definetly aimbot but there are mods which just locks on to the closest target to your cross hair and are legal. As I can remember such a mod was a part of promod for a very long time. It is very helpful when you are trying to circle someone in a fast tank because it can be very annoying to snap onto the target while circling them. I also use it. It autolocks onto the target which is within the big circle in your screen. Its not aim bot, the standart auto aim just easier to snap onto the target.
Bonjour, j'ai moi-même testé des cheat mods pour voir si c'était vrai ce qu'on disait. Je pense par ailleurs que rencontrer des joueurs utilisant des cheats en bataille est assez courant, même si on ne s'en rend pas compte. D'après mon expérience voici quelques avantages et désavantages. Avantages: les tirs longues distances avec des obus lents sont faciles, pour les débutants permet des viser les points faibles, aide énormément à réaliser des quick shots parfais et rapides. Désavantages: vise parfois trop les weak spots quand non-necessaire(ex: vise la tourelle d'un rhm) cela conduit à des tirs parfois ratés bêtement, ne pense pas comme un humain (heureusement) prévoit moins les mouvements. Cela pour dire que les avantages sont énormes mais que cependant un bon joueur peut faire de même. Je rappelle donc, tricher est interdit et en plus il suffit de s'entraîner pour arriver au même résultat. PS: pour ceux qui se le demandent, j'ai desinstalle les mods après une semaine d'utilisation et ne l'ai fait QUE pour vérifier les rumeurs et pas pour mes stats. Bonne soirée
This seems to be a recent cheat, I seen some KV-2 oneshotting people at angles they shouldn't be able to, but thankfully this is a rare thing to see and WG actually does something respecting this problem.
Sometimes it's hard to tell if you don't see the replays because of RNG.

I played against Aim Bot yesterday. I was in my IS-7 60km/h down hill. Enemy Kranvagn fired 3 shot all of than in the same exact point, distance was 450m. I wiggle my tank angle as best I can after 12k battles in IS-7.

I was invited to play in a clan, and one guy on TS openly said he used aimbot when he was having a shitty game and wanted to pen some tanks. I never played with that clan after I heard that. There are probably lots of different motivational reasons out there.
I have noticed recently the number of ammo racks and fires have increased in randoms and in Clan wars not long after the last patch was released. Seen a few select shots after looking at replays of shots going through rocks! appears the aim bots are back. I support the use of mods passive mods such as used in the garage which cant harm in game play WG are slowly bringing these in.
I don't know if this could have been RNG or possibly the aimbot, but did anyone else notice how many fires he started? To be fair it was mostly on the KV tanks which have HUGE fuel tanks, but still

i think you're misunderstanding a important thing.
Aimbot just manipulates where your tank is aiming, but not where the shell goes.
This is important, because is the server, and only the server, the one who decides where the shell goes.

Good video indeed. I have limited hopes that this will prevent most whiners from incorrectly claim cheats though.
What really boggles the mind is how stupid someone must be to publish proof against themselves like this replay. If I were running such mods, at the very least I would have the brains to not publish replays showing it lol
Fact remains that WG has limited ability to detect cheats. The few times cheaters like this one has been caught is either when they incriminate themselves with replays such as this one, or paid cheats have their customer records leaked (like was the case in the very first ban wave)
Personally I consider this a very limited problem though. First of all, 95% of the success in this game is based on positioning and situational awareness. Actual aiming is far less important, and something most decent players do very well manually anyway. Secondly, I do belive the amount of such cheats being fairly limited. Most people who invest a lot of time and money into their accounts will not be wanting to risk so much. And most of those who do seem to be among the weaker players anyway, in which case I really do not care.
Nice to know WG is against cheating...but apparently it's okay for thier AI npc's to cheat in their games.

Deer DezGamez I'm not agree with what you said, WG say that cheaters break the game but it's not the case, I actually playing with those "cheated mods" but that don't really help me to win, I think that the main problem of WoT is the MM, the gold ammunition and the artillery . I have 26k battles and 1500 overall wn8 and I love your videos so if you want a cheated res_mod for a video just to try it yourself and don't spraid things like that destroy the game send me a message .

The Spartan If those mods don't help you, uninstall them. MM and artillery surely are a problem, but all players have to face them, so it's not unfair. Gold shells aren't a problem at all. Your mods really break the game, which is the reason why they're forbidden.
It's easy to make official, signed mods and allow only them in the game. Or, even better, add popular mod options to the game.
i love how players complain about cheaters/ hackers in WoT but then keep playing give other games a try like Armored Warfare they don't release there codes so it's much harder to mod/hack

I don't understand why people take the fun out of the game by using these mods. Learning how to shoot well, lead shots and predict enemy movement and positions to be able to make blindshots has actually been one of the most fun parts of the game for me. The satisfaction when you succesfully predict the movement of the enemy scout and take him out with a single shot with your TD is extremely high.

I had a battle with UDES where i did about 2,5k dmg and ~2000 of those were out of siege mode.
If you get close and personal, it's possible even with tier 9 and 10(and tier 8 premium)
