Can I just say -- Ramon, every time you introduce yourself and all of your titles, I am so impressed and proud of you for actually DOING IT. Putting in the hard work, putting your money where your mouth is, and really striving to get the education, experience, and certification to back up your channel. I like a lot of other "skinfluencers," but I think you stand a cut above the rest who are content to just review products and give general advice without actual experience in the industry. No shade to them; what they do has value too and I don't see it as a negative, but your effort gives you extra points and legitimacy. Thank you for going the extra mile while still taking the time to share your expertise with us.
This makes me want to be a cosmetic chemist! I used to have really good skin, no breakouts until my ED caused a lot of digestive issues that led to a huge breakout at the age of 17-18 and I’m now dealing with the aftermath. This led to so much experimentation until I finally found something that worked for me. Cosmetic chemistry seems fascinating, thanks for your videos and the insight in provides!
I just discovered you, Ramon and I just love listening to you speak!! You can clearly tell you are both passionate and SUPER knowledgeable about everything you’re talking about which I loveee. I’ll echo what others have said - you make me wish I had gone into cosmetic chemistry!!
Rosacea is a medical condition, unfortunately. Therefore you’re better utilizing a dermatologist for information and resources on that. Dr. Sam Ellis, Dr. Jenny Liu (DermTalk), Dr. Joyce Park, and DermAngelo are my favs
question about the BOJ eye serum! i think you mentioned in the past about using it in the day time... can this product still be effective in the day? does the retinal breakdown? i'd love to know since i'm planning on buying it soon and if i can get better results from twice a day usage, then i'll do it!

I see any encapsulated retinol/retinal as being fine for day time use. The encapsulation helps stabilize it from UV degradation. Half of the reason people say not to wear during the day is that. The other half is due to skin sensitivity. Your skin will be “sensitive” no matter what part of the day you use it if you’re not used to it. always wear sunscreen of course. But retinol/retinal are also good antioxidants
Hi Ramon, i have both vitamin c and retinol serums. Should i switch between the two? Maybe one night use retionol, and then the next use the vitamin c? Thank you for your help 🫰🏾
What do you think about supplements? Liposomal Vitamin C pills, Liposomal Glutathione (setria), Glycine + NAC (which are supposed to help better absorb glutathione and your bodies natural production)? i've been REALLY trying to fade a bad farmers tan ive had my whole life, im born pale mexican but tan super easily, and from what i've read online a lot of ppl recommend this stuff. Also do you think a mineral or hybrid sunscreen would work better for this purpose than only chemical? I get that impression.. Would love to hear from you c: Thank You
No 🥲 Red marks after acne are post-inflammatory erythema. It was defined medically very recently so there's very little information on treatment. I've seen Dr. Dray and Dr. Shireen Edris (?) touch on the subject and if I recall correctly, they recommend centella asiatica (aka tiger grass, or "cica"), tranexamic acid, and azelaic acid. Of course, staying on top of sunscreen because sun damage can cause irritation, which would be a step backwards. Best of luck, I'm on the same boat!

No unfortunately. I’m working on content around that. That’s post-inflammatory erythema and it’s a whole different issue

I wish Beauty of Joseon would produce a serum like their eye product, but with a higher retinal content.
Same! Idk if they’ll be able to due to regulations on the strength of the retinal in Korea, though
Great video, Ramón!!! Very informative, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed!

Ramon can you please post the best quality drugstore makeup products you like? 🥰🥰
Not the eye serum being the same size as the full size face products💀
And that’s why I LOVE it. I actually use it as a hand cream too lol

How do you feel about the BOJ alpha arbutin serum and could we use it during the day?

Are red marks which is what I get treated in the same way🙄
