- An annular solar eclipse is a type of solar eclipse that occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun but does not completely cover the Sun's disk. During an annular eclipse, the Moon appears slightly smaller in the sky compared to the Sun, creating a ring-like appearance of the Sun's outer edge.

The last time we had a Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse was on 26thDec2019 >>> 3 months before Global Covid-19 Pandemic Movement Control Order ( MCO ) in March2020 ... 😮🙏
By accident my family and I will be in Bryce National Park for the october eclipse. Telescope with white light filter and solar glasses packed and ready.
Perfect! I wish you good weather!
This channel is so freaking cool!
Thank you for another video!❤
Thank you for being here and for watching. 🌌
Thanks for update
Thank you for another great, informative video!
Thanks for watching!
I live in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. We are on the Mexican border and on the gulf. It is going to be close to us. So maybe not too much travel involved. Great video as always. Keep looking up!
Good luck…I hope the weather is clear for you!
driving a couple hours N for the annular next weekend. Bringing the 12"dob w solar filter.
flying to mazatlan for the total in '24. Should have my seestar S50 by then 🤞
Good luck! I hope the weather cooperates. That is always half the battle!
I am going to try to see both.
Good luck! I hope the weather cooperates. I've missed many celestial events due to poor weather.
Even though where I’m at, the Sun will be about 70 percent covered. It won’t be the same as the ring of fire, but I’m just planning on staying here in central Kansas for that one. For the total in April of 2024, I’m hoping to go to a location that will be in the middle of the path for 100 percent totality.
2024 is the last one in the continental US for 20 years! Do it, you'll be glad you made that trip.
just booked a trip to Mazatlan for the wife and I to see the '24 eclipse on the beach :-) only live once...
I am also planning to travel for the April 2024 one. Even though Ring Eclipses are more rare, I just really want to see a total solar eclipse. Good luck to you!
Neither as I live in Europe! However,I think that the date is the 18th of October,we do by coincidence have a partial Lunar Eclipse.I have seen one of these before and they are nothing to write home about.I think that the last one I saw,but it was about 8 years ago so I can't quite remember it, was hard to see much happening. We had another one about 3 years ago but I can't comment on it as it was cloudy said night!
I know what you mean...lunar eclipses do not fascinate me as much since I've seen a good number of them. Solar eclipses are much more fascinating in my opinion! Thank you for watching!
Get ready for the next solar eclipse
Can u through little light various phases of moon, when we see from earth point, what is part of shadow(black part) of moon, what makes it happen, is it earth shadow on moon or any thing else, ms jeanin pl through little light, I am from India
I can add a video about the phases of the moon onto my list.
One ring to rule them all.
I thought the same thing when I made that thumbnail image!
@@learnthesky it’s a bad oman none the less. I fear for Huston.
Hi Janine! Just waiting for the Flat Earthers to weigh in on this. wish they would weigh in why the Earth's shadow on the moon cycles is a curved line, (Cresent) and not a square straight line type line? Thanks for sharing Sweet Janine, always great content.
One day I will make a video about responding to Flat Earther comments. My favorite take downs are the ones from Professor Dave Explains channel....you have to check them out!
