Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix, scheduled to release for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. It is a sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020), and the second in a planned trilogy of games remaking the 1997 PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII.
As with its predecessor, the gameplay will combine real-time action with strategic and role-playing elements. Set immediately after Remake's events, players will control the mercenary Cloud Strife and a party of characters principally comprising the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE, who band together and embark on a journey across the Planet to prevent the megacorporation Shinra from exploiting its life essence, the Lifestream, as an energy source, and defeat former elite SOLDIER Sephiroth, who intends on uniting with the Planet to achieve greater power.
The game entered production in November 2019 prior to Remake's release, and was announced in June 2022.

The platinum trophy grind for Rebirth was so intense that after i got it, i went back to Remake to beat Weiss so would have every trophy for both games. Weiss is a total chump after having gotten gud from the thirty attempts at Bonds of Friendship.

Same dude, I legit am getting back into to shape because I played it an unhealthy amount. The game is great, it just tortures you if you go for everything FAST. Thats out OCD though man. Its still great; we just didn’t play it in moderation. Moderation is key. I got the Platinum and completed the play log last Wednesday. Fml.

I think the key is to not try to go through and complete one thing at a time, like doing ALL of one specific minigame, then ALL of the next one, etc. Jump around a little to keep yourself from getting burned out on everything.
There is no moderation for completionists/trophy hunters. For next month there will be another to chase. Stellar Blade and Elden Ring dlc will be the death of me this summer
Yeah I given myself a break too. Only got some legendary and brutal challenges, sephiroth 3D brawler and 1 cactuar hard mode with aerith and I'm done. Definitely burned myself out.

Its also nice to the know that the internet came together on a unanimous strategy which is equal parts cool and dumb. The Brutal VR, a few of the legendary bouts like Cait being forced to fight a Mindflayer ALONE a boss that cannot be pressured whatso ever, Rulers of the Outer World and Bonds are easy EASY overtuned.
You could be a god at this game and there's an upper ceiling that maybe the majority of FF7 Rebirth Platinum Holders (myself included) just aren't reaching so that this wouldn't be that hard but it really is THAT hard. So hard that its not challenging in the fun sense.
You must effectively cheese the Brutal Challenges. Aerith Arcane Ward Quake set ups for majority of them, Yuffie ATB Ward Battery Cheese for Rulers and Cloud's Aeroga MP/HP Ab for Bonds and 2BAH. Outside of Cloud's (which was overtuned) and Cait's which was down right unfair the single legendary bouts are...."fine"
The crazy thing is I think Remake's VR missions were difficult for what they were even with worse combat limitations and options but they WERE challenging but not enough to destroy your mental health. These are up there. If you need cheese to beat this stuff then the challenge is not fun. Its so bad only one albeit overpowered strait will work and that requires taking advantage of the fact that ga-spells stun and you can't be knocked out of them. And considering Reprisal exists I feel like the devs knew and wanted you to use this cheese while patting themselves on the back for a job well done.
The Brutal and Legendary missions are mostly ass. Maybe some people had fun. Overall I did not

I have 2 trophy to go, the hard mode and the platinum. Bond of friendship and be a hero VR really took my time, my patience, and my sanity, about 5days untill i finally beat the VR (sometimes i rewatched my recording to feel the excitement again lol), good luck to all platinum hunter here!
I'm glad people are saying 100% is 200 hours because it was 220 for me only because I think I left my game on like 1 or 2 days while at work and I think you can honestly chock up any added time because of Materia changing which by the time you figure out FF7 Rebirths' cheese.
You have to do a lot of for the hard mode play through. Lowkey this game needed specs you can save for each character and a better way to search materia instead of putting them in a giant queue.
Me too so, I was 280 hours to 100% log (unintended) and the plat but I am a completionist anyway. I don't play lots of games so I like value in my gaming and this definitely gave in spades. I was frustrated looking back but the challenge of it overall I did enjoy.
I’m nearly halfway through every chapter on Hard mode (at the time of first typing this comment) before getting the platinum, but yeah; the Bonds of Friendship challenge (the fight against Odin in particular even with an easy method I looked up to cheesing him) was the worst part of all the brutal/legendary challenges for me! I give MAJOR props to Square for putting as much effort into Rebirth as possible, but I’m not taking back my statement when I say I feel they overdid it with the achievements. And I shutter to imagine how far they’ll go with Part 3’s platinum in terms of agonizing completionism… 😳😵💫

Great game. Took me 232 hours for platinum. And continued to play solo character hard vr missions until 550 hours to master perfect blocking on every character. But one thing - #%^* Choco Glide 3 😂

I haven’t watched yet but yea this platinum is gonna be rough but only for one reason, the damn vr battles. I’ve done everything else besides beating the game on Hard. But the brutal missions are exactly that, BRUTAL!
Im 179 hours into my own quest with just half of hard mode and the legendary challenges to go. This was the inspiration i needed
To me, worse thing is the sephiroth 3D brawler, the brutal and legendary battles, and the hard mode boss cutscenes every time you die… not to mention getting every relationship to 100% was really tedious.
I didn’t have an issue with choco flying or sit-ups or a majority of mini games otherwise.
I just have to do chapter 13 and 14, 2 brutal challenges, and all the legendary challenges… which still feels like a lot.

Im in the process of platniuming rebirth aswell! All I have left is my hard mode playthrough and so far im at chapter 11. I absolutely love this game man 162 hours in and I have been loving every miniute of it (besides the combat simulator challenges and a few of the minigames).

I’m finishing my plat this weekend, if you take your time, and read guides, it’s not bad and the combat sim is actually kind of enjoyable. Though tbh the combat sim is more fun after you beat all the challenges and then just go back to play around with different set ups.
If you attempt to blind platinum then good luck because you’ll probably be riding the struggle bus unless you are just really good at combat.

Hard mode is okay if you are equipped with the right materia and know when to use magic and when to use a weapon and when to evade (it's like a puzzle), but some fights gave me cancer like Rufus's fight. There's a detail about sephiroth last fight that would make the fight far more easier. All you had to do is charging ATB for both characters, so whenever his sword or his wing is vulnerable you can hit it with magic (I used fira), and that will pressure him, not to mention that you should save Cloud's limit break for the end (lvl 3 is the safer one)
The trick for sephiroth's sword and wing is that Aerith like 2 shots them with normal attacks even on hard. You just have to swap and destroy those almost instantly.
@KallenFans1 Yeah! I didn't know that I could pressure him with magic until I played hard mode. The pride I felt when I discovered I could easily pressure him is unreal😭💀
I'm stuck at chapter 12, i completely lost my motivation on this game. While i loved the OG and also the story of this one, the minigames and some design choices are awful. Trying to play the game on hard for platinum trophy is a mere nightmare for me. Guess I'm getting too old for the hard shit. I gonna take a break i have no more fun with this game atm.

This game was tough on normal mode, I skipped pretty much all the side quests, so I was heavily under leveled and bosses took 6 or 7+ tries
I think going for the platinum gave most people agony and despair. I got it but it was a pit of misery for some of the challenges and all the mini games.
Is it only me that found the vr challenges in this game easier then they were in remake? Nothing compares to bahamut in remake the first time u try to kill him on hard in the last vr challenge

Yeah, Sephiroth was much better than Zack. It took 15 runs for me to complete bonds of friendship, only 2 runs to do Sephiroth one. There was actually more tricks with Bahamuth you didn't use. First he put these purple orbs around battlefield. If you run to one with Zack and used R1+square move, he runs to hit Bahamut pressuring him immediately. Also works with Cloud atb moves if he touch that purple orbs first, make much easier to stagger Bahamut. Zack and Cloud also have R1+X counterfire move that can counter Bahamut erly attacks.
I don't have platinum yet, but I'm pretty close. Only thing I'm missing is chapter 14 hard mode that I'm doing right now, perfect loveless play to get that trophy and Johhny trophy and maybe somem minor trophies likee 300% stagger. I don't have much time to play, but I should get it done in week or two.

Elemental-Fire on your armor. Use your brain. Also Buster Sword all day for reprieve and more health and MP. And also ribbon on Cloud. Some of your footage man is just bad play. I’m not saying I was awesome at the game but atleast with Cloud I was. Seems like your strats too weren’t the best either. In hard mode those last fights you need to have a loadout for every character and everyone of them needs to have master HP UP MP UP Wadring-Binding Safety bit and most importantly everyone needs a MASTERED PRAYER materia. For me the only character who didn’t have prayer was Cloud. Also you were messing up the brumal form trick too. Haha And you did the Cloud wind build for the Bonds of Friendshio fight haha.

If you go from the Platinum, you are basically 'forced' to 100% everything as you go. This takes away from the campaign significantly. The campaign almost felt like the side content. For me, there was simply 'too much' side content to get through which took away from the enjoyment of the campaign. First world problems.
