Seeing videos of where I grew up is awesome. But it's been over 30 years since I moved away. After seeing your video I'm now planning on going back soon for a visit.
Had some good birds in this episode. Part of me wants to get a copy of that book…. But then it ruins the fun of hearing Matt read them off. I’m also a cheapskate too… so there’s that 🤣
What a scenic spot! Another great video. I'm normally not a fan of tree-lss camping but this view would be worth it, and the potential wind. We've added Washington to our camping bucket list form up here in Alberta Canada.
Great Video. We have driven through there so many times and had no Idea there was so much out there. We got on Gaia and found tons of trails. We will be hitting that area this year for sure.
That 2nd camping spot down that dirt road is definitely epic! I noticed you didnt show it.. I camp there during the winter and its almost always available.. but its a popular home base for rock climbers, so itll be nearly impossible to get once the weather gets a tad warmer.
Do you have a rig walk around on what you did to prep the Jeep for towing? I have a 13 jk and it is very not having the trailer back there. Maybe it was just the trailer? (U haul)
Don't have much detail on towing in our walk around but haven't done much. Just added hitch bumper and 7 pin wiring, no issues. Could've definitely been the uhaul trailer! Weight, alignment, bearings etc can effect how it pulls. Max you should pull is 2k lbs. Oh and keep the tongue weight low as well! Under 200ish
Yeah it wasn’t much going weight. And it was empty but it was shaking the Jeep pretty good. I didn’t think I would feel it as much with it being the 4door. I used to pull a utility trailer with my 97 TJ and it was great. The JK on the other hand. But it was probably the trailer.
Well, you finally talked us into it. We got a Pop-Up Firepit for Christmas. So we would love to see some more cooking videos on your channel. We bought the grill as well. But are really interested in using it to try some baking. Maybe some biscuits from a can. Anyways, love your channel and was surprised by all the camping videos during the winter. 😊 Keep up the good work!
we carry a spare bottom mesh for our pit just in case, I had a friend add some of the fire color powder once and it messed up the first screen so now I always have an extra
not exactly the cliffs of Moher but its still pretty cool :) We need to make it out west one day and some camping. yall make me want to move out there lol
very nice, and thank you. i bought some LED string lights from REI, theyre ok, but they burn through a 4400 mAh battery in a night but nothing special. now i have them set up around the roof line of my chicken coop ill take a look at these
Hey, do you have any tips or tricks to keeping the awning down when it’s windy? We were near Mojave Desert and our new Hasika awning stakes kept pulling out. They’re probably too small. I’d love to know how you stake it down. Another great video and a killer camp view!😍
Funny you should ask lol, our stakes actually came out! 🤣 However when we a-frame it it sits much better. Probably was all the rocks in the ground at this spot. We typically put them at a severe 90° angle to the line. Works most the time. I think the stakes that screw into the ground would be A+ though 👌🏻
Cool! I’ll have to get some of those screw-in stakes. They look pretty hefty! Having an A frame def looks more sturdy and less likely to pull out. Thanks for the tip!
The Columbia river is so calm it almost looks like a lake! Not sure about the millions of years to create the canyon but still beautiful. Gotta put in a plug for the sage brush. Such an amazing plant to be able to survive such a harsh climate and can live for well over 100 years. Love the videos on the east side of the cascades. Would love to see you guys visit dry falls near banks lake. Another amazing area in Eastern Washington.
New subscriber here...forgive me if you've answered this question on the other videos you've made (that I haven't yet watched), but how does towing that trailer affect your gas mileage? I have a JKU and am looking at teardrops. TIA.
Thanks for joining us and no worries!! Our jk has done better than we thought. With the lift and tires, dropped down to 17.5 mpg and with trailer, typically 15.5. thought we'd be way lower. I'll take it! Also, weight definitely matters for our 2 door. Fully packed we're around 1800 lbs, would never go any higher like we did with a t@b we rented. You definitely have some more room with the jku but try to keep your weight 👇🏻 👍🏻

That's awesome! Thanks for watching!
Cool. Nice to see another part of Washington
More to come!

Hahaha!!! Well, we'll keep them coming for ya 😉

Thank you! Tons to do down here! May be heading to Alberta sometime this year 😉
What a beautiful area! Yeah, very different but still gorge-ous! Lol. And yes...cocktails with the Wisemans!!! 👍🏻🍸🥃
Lol
The forest is nice on the east side but I really love that western landscape.
Nice to have that variety though!!
Another great installment - thanks for the Bird stories! I've missed them!!
Thank you! Our pleasure ☺️ 🦆🦜🐦🦅🖖🏻
Word of the day: coulee. I can't believe that all these years, I thought Grand Coulee Dam was named after a Mr. Coulee 😆
🤣🤣 love it
Great Video. We have driven through there so many times and had no Idea there was so much out there. We got on Gaia and found tons of trails. We will be hitting that area this year for sure.
Thank you! Hidden gem for sure!
I live near a development called "Whispering Hills." It's a large-lot subdivision right under a wind farm. 😆 Would hate to live there!
🤣🤣
Great video. Waterfall and owl was perfect background noise.
Thank you! Such a great mood out there 👌🏻
Very fun adventure! I’ve spent some time myself in the area. I love Banks Lake! Happy Trails!!!
That's on the list for the future 👍🏻 haven't been there in over 20 years!
That body that the blades hook to is about the same size as a school bus. Really makes you realize just how big those things are!
Totally!! Can't believe they can even stand a light breeze without falling over! Those blades are HUUUGE!
I just camped there last week! Great spot .... even if it's not as remote as I normally aim for.
Noice! Agreed, a bit too close to the interstate and all the trash, but a beautiful area. Wish we had more time, must go back!
Chester here … love the bird book .. lol!,,!!
🐦🐥🦢🦚🦜🐓🐧🕊️🦅🦆 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We were actually shocked at how busy it was this weekend! Not like summer though. Can't imagine what it's like then...
Btw your handle just made us lose our sh*t 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s a beautiful area over there. Lots of cool rock formations to check out. The trash really sucks though.
Yeah, it's really bad and unfortunate. Be great to get a crew out there to help clean things up 🤘🏻
Vantage is an awesome place. So much to see. The wind sucks but the views are worth dealing with the wind.

Nice!! You'll love it! We actually did cinnamon rolls from a can underneath the pit! Worked great! Did you see that video?
Will do, thank you 🙂
Your little rig is perfect. Not a whole lot of extra fluff. Just enough to get out explore and have fun. People definitely suck!!! It’s senseless!!!
Exactly! Don't over complicate it 🤘🏻
What a great place to explore & camp!! 👏👌🤙🤘
💯!!

Thank you for sharing! We are now convinced it was the sparkly powder mcfire powder. Going to run some experiments 🧐
Love your videos! You’ve inspired me to get my teardrop out of storage and start camping. First trip planned for Big Sir, CA!
Noice!! Thank you!! Have fun!
Great episode!!! Safe travels
TY! Back at ya 👍🏻
@@WheresWiseman you're welcome. Thanks.

Haha agreed! Itsa the best 🤌🏻

The bird stories were funny and sad for the blue bird.
Haha! Yeah, poor guy just can't get a break

Oh! And we bought better stakes as well. Longer, steel, heavy duty stakes. Usually when you get them with a canopy they are sh*t. amzn.to/42OzCyh
Ooooooh these look nice. With the screwy tool thing 👍🏻 amzn.to/42Ugmzt

Thanks Buddy! Added it to the list! You should join us 😉
What are those string lights called that you use? And are they solar/ usb charged?
USB. We just plug into the camper or a small battery bank. amzn.to/3IfNrwe
P.S. does the pop up fire pit company offer replacement parts?
We're going to find out soon!! Lol pretty sure they do

what LED lights do you guys have?
These puppies amzn.to/48p6gYt
Epic height on that heel click!! I feel a little bad for those dumb male blue birds...
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks buddy! My knees felt it 😅
Dude, what’s the blush on your cheeks? Must have been pretty chilly. Beautiful area. Can’t wait till we can get up your way.
HA! That's some cold ass checks right thar 😅
