I dont know anything about why he lost hp when attacks, but there in world we have an hability that upgrade the attack an defense when you faint, then he faints 2 times. I dont know why he didnt use the faints in teostra.
I believe its a by product of the safi jiva armor not yet on pc but for consoles. It drains health as you attack. Him going to full health without using some meds must be something like that also. The 2 faints are to activate fortify skill, each faint increases atk and def. Max 2. I cannot wait for safi to hit pc.
It’s not actually his weapon that’s lowering his health. It’s some of the armor he’s wearing (same set as the weapon, though). The armor set bonus regenerates health per hit if they land, and his weapons have an augmentation on them for health regeneration per hit to compensate extra for that. The double-faint is to trigger a permanent skill called “Fortify,” which increases your Attack by 10% and Defense by 15% per faint, up to two times. Extremely useful for quests you know you’re going to do very well in, or quests you struggle greatly with. Not too good for casual play where you might not faint.

How come you purposely fainted for the Fortify? I mean you bodied Teostra in less than 3 minutes without it. I'm pretty sure I'm just not that well informed, and why not activate it before Teostra? I assume you could do the same to the other elders.
For retry purposes. If he fucked up on Teostra he could try the run again immediately without having wasting precious minutes on doing the Fortify dance.
He did it after killing Teostra because there's downtime in-between each monster as you have to wait for teos corpse to disappear before Luna spawns in. So he saved himself time by buffing up fortify then.

Lewis TAC it just has lingering hit box. Trying to the attack will most likely result in you getting hit.
yeah the most of the tail is a big hitbox, better to dodge out of it

Safi + Velkhana set has higher peak performance but requires you to not die from all the self-damage. TCE is a safer build.

ところでネギ、結局頭の傷はほとんど活かさず倒してましたけど、これはとどのつまり？
腕ダウンとって頭を攻撃…と言うのが理想だったのですが、
このクエストに登場する悉ネギさんは開幕2〜3回ほど必ずダイビングする感じになってました。
このダイビングはスーパーアーマーでその後の隙にトゲ破壊してもダウンは取れないので結果最初のキズつけは無意味になってしまいました😥
とは言え開幕さっさとキレさして挑戦者を発動させるのが目的でしたので、最初の傷はおまけみたいな感じです笑
