    Awesome tutorial!!!! - I have been getting sick of tutorials that the title says they are going to teach a specific thing and then I have to wait for more than half the video to even get to the thing they were talking about in the titles description...this video contains a wealth of information with none of the fluff that most tutorial videos have.. Awesome job dude!!!! Thank you!!

    • @UGuruz

      It very stable and fast now. The only drawback is the memory limit. So if you have a higher memory graphics card then you should definietly use it.

    Okay, I am running into an issue with implementing the HDRP in 2019.2.11. I found a scene that I purchased to use in your tutorial. I went to load HDRP package as you describe along with Post Processing and Shadergraph. I went to create rendering in asset window to implement the HDRP Pipeline but the HDRP option is not there. I got the following error messages as well.
    "Removing Packages/com.unity.visualeffectgraph/Editor/Models/Contexts/Implementations/HDRP because the asset does not exist"
    and this error message:
    "Couldn't delete Packages/com.unity.visualeffectgraph/Editor/Models/Contexts/Implementations/HDRP because it's in an immutable folder."
    Any thoughts on how I can get the HDRP to work? Actually, I just created a new project WITH the HDRP template and it is still the same issue? I have to be missing something.

    • @arcitek66
      @arcitek66 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, I think I found the problem and it is on me....I think. I was right clicking in the Heiarchy Tab window and trying to create the rendering there. I went to my Folder in Assets under the Project Tab and right clicked and tried the Create>Rendering there and sure enough, there was the HDRP Pipeline. I am admittedly still grasping the Interface of Unity and it was me not understanding the that in the Heiarchy Tab window, you are bringing in Assets to the scene where in the Project Tab Window you are Creating specific assets or effects. Am I correct on this?

    • @arcitek66
      @arcitek66 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am seeing that this could be an issue at hand.
      The mentioned objects are using the shaders "Legacy Shaders/Reflective/Diffuse" and "Legacy Shaders/Reflective/Specular" that are not supported by the material upgrade of HDRP. HDRP only supports upgrading of the "Standard", "Standard (Specular Setup)" and "Autodesk Interactive" shaders.
      Any ideas on how to fix? I just want to follow along on this tutorial and it has taken hours just to get out of the gate....Again, supplying a ready to go fbx file that you know will work would help alot.

    • @arcitek66
      @arcitek66 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, according to this video from Unity, not all materials can convert to the HDRP render pipeline.
      th-cam.com/video/GyPSXDZi0NQ/w-d-xo.html
      It would seem I would need to rebuild all of these materials in Shadergraph which is not happening. 10.00 dollars down the drain.

    • @UGuruz
      @UGuruz  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any custom shader will not be converted in HDRP. Yes you will need to create them in Shader graph. But for legacy materials you can make a new Lit material and assign all the texture in proper input slot.

    Actually, trying to work my way through this and I have to agree with Ashkan below. What is the point of the tutorial if you cannot use a file to specifically to compare results and follow along??? I love your tutorials and was on your Patreon SIte to see about becoming a supporter as I would like to see more from you. I have no problem paying for good tutorials as I have purchased quite a few. I followed another HDRP tutorial of yours and it was really good. I wanted to do this tutorial specifically because of an archviz project but I cannot even get the fbx to export correctly with some geometry and materials. Why not share how you were able to convert all of the vray materials because while using Unity, this is a particular challenge one does not see with Unreal using their Datasmith Plugin. You do mention that if using 3dsmax, you will need to convert materials to standard. You also mention about recreating materials is sometimes a possibility. With this in mind, why not work with a scene that is ready to go for those who want to follow along with you and actually do things you are explaining? I understand one could use their own scene but I think when one is a true beginner as I am sure many people here are, it is not so intuitive. Thank you for your efforts though.

      @arcitek66 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UGuruz Yeah, I tried converting two of my vray scenes using vray scene convertor and it is not doing very well in the FBX. The ceiling is coming in one sided and faced the wrong direction, the sheer curtains are not translating, there are several plane objects that did not translate well. Did you wind up rebuilding the materials in this file when you imported into Unity? If you can supply a link to the original model, why can't you put the FBX file in there? This whole converting 3dsmax to fbx with materials for Unity is getting old fast. I heard Unity 2019.3 is supposed to be able to read physical materials but we will see. As for your tutorial, please make the FBX available. Is this how it will be if I become a Patreon and want to access your tutorials are you going to supply working files?

    Great video! Unity should pay you for this! Do you know a good way to do this? - Imagine an outdoor environment with a house and bake it. The house have no windows so there is no sunlight hitting it inside the house. Then I have an UI button that can disable the roof of the house and the sun hits inside the house. But everything is black inside because the light didnt hit the inside in the bake. It´s like to have a big dollhouse where you can take away the roof a wall a table an so on. It´s a big house with alot of things in it, that you can chose to disable or enable things. The problem is I want to bake it and not use realtime rendering because of performing, but it seams impossible to bake an interactive outdoor and indoor scene at the same time. Hope you understand my question.

    • @UGuruz
      @UGuruz  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you can do it. Its not that hard. You can use artificial lights inside the house and HDRI or sunlight for exterior light baking. You also use light linking to bind you lights for exterior and interior objects.

      @@UGuruz Okey, will try something like that. The problem is when baking and hiding an object in the scene you get the shadows left in baked lightmap. Thanks for reply!

      By the way I modeled the cove light object separately. You can use plane or area light to mimic the cove light object in Unity 3D.

      @ankitdeepika 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UGuruz I already did plane from unity bit the emission didn't seems to appear like yours. Tube light works fine. Though I'm using 2019.1.2. Highly appreciated if you are willing to to share the original unity project.
      You are doing an amazing job. Thanks for such wonderful tutorial. Do create tutorial on how to export objects from 3dsmax to unity. I exported object by unwrapping uv and assign second channel for lightmap.

      I think you need to look into the glass material properties. The best way it to tun off "cast shadows" for the glass object.
