Whilst we must acknowledge that usually, Gemma is a moron, in this instance I thing she has a point - the majority of kids doing their A-Levels are fed the lie that you MUST go to university. In all honesty, some people don’t need it and some aren’t cut out for the lifestyle. This is nothing to be ashamed of - for many an apprenticeship, college course or getting directly into work is a much better choice!
I didn't like her for ages because of where she came from (TOWIE) and how she got famous, but Jesus she comes out with some funny stuff. There's a compilation of her remarks here on TH-cam that i watch now and then. Her crying about her hair being frazzled on Big Brother has got to be one of the funniest moments.
Jokes aside, I actually agree with her. I went to college when I wasn’t ready for college. Nor did I really have the zeal or passion for it. But I went anyways just because people expected me to. I was miserable and went through a horrible depression and contemplated taking my life several times during that time. Luckily, I took a gap year and was able to take a break and really figure out what I really wanted for MYSELF. Case in point: don’t go to college for anyone but you.
