That line you don't know what it does is a vacuum line that powers the windshield wipers.

Fluid film is not a good substance to spray inside the engine. Get a can of Aerokroil and spray it down the intake, and into the sparkplug holes. Fluid film is used for rustproofing and undercoating vehicles.
