      I got the Angels from someone at work who asked if I could take them on because they were outgrowing their tank. They are huge! And as you say beautiful. I'm glad I could help out and get some beautiful fish to enjoy at the same time. 😉👍

      Yeah it's nice, you can tell I like it. Think it would be way too powerful for a kids tank to be honest but that's a great idea, equipment designed to capture their wonder and inspiration. 👍

  • @Dan-TylerMusic
    @Dan-TylerMusic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Maybe it's an essex thing as I like the look of it too, I also like that it comes with the airline and other bits as most things these days don't.
    2 outlets for that price is good value but the shark design is wasted as most pumps are hidden in cupboards, but it is good to see companies putting effort into the hobby.

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah a lot of people will have their pump hidden but not everyone of course. Whether it's out in plain view or we only get to see it when we open the cupboard it's nice to have a piece of equipment nicely styled hey.
      Yeah despite the good reviews I was actually expecting to be disappointed but I'm definitely not. Think it's really good mate. Think they've done a great job with it.

    It also literally makes no noise.

    I just use the USB mini pumps, you can hang them on clip behind the tank etc, absolutely no noise too, i have 4 in total now and a spare one as they are the only air pump i will use, i even replaced the BIORB one on the wifes tank with one.

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah they're great. I have the Nicrew one. I wanted a single pump to run the three tanks in this set up though and the Nicrew was great for the two small tanks but would have struggled to supply all three. Then I noticed the Shark. Looked so good I have to look into it further and pretty pleased with it so far. Won't keep going in a power cut like the battery operated ones do right enough but fortunately we don't have many of those and I'll always have one or two of those Nicrews on hand in a pinch. 👍

    How you put it together inside the tank ???? You didn't show that, please I need explanation and help , thank you.

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries. So it sits out side the tank. You connect air lines to it. The other end of the airlines go to airstones or sponge filters in the tank.
      If you place it above the tank that's all you need. If not you should add a non-return valve, a small piece of plastic the allows the air only one way so will not allow air or more importantly water to run the other way.
      It sounds complicated at first but it really isn't. Hope that helps.

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The simple answer is not really. I mean if you're injecting Co2 it could gas some of that off but generally as long as it's not turning the water into a tempest I'd say you're fine.

    Mine just busted today after 5 months. Stopped pushing air despite the motor humming away. Checked all lines. Thing looks unrepairable. Might be moving to the Tetra Whisper pump since it has replaceable parts. If anyones worked on these pls drop a comment here.

    • @RabidlyTaboo
      @RabidlyTaboo 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Okay, after a couple hours of work i figured it out. Now that i know the problem it is a super fast fix. Open shark top, remove tape hokding led wires, uncover pump screw holes inside. Unscrew top of pump. The magnets had gotten too close to the transformer and had become stuck. They need to have an air gap between the magnets and transformer. Took channel locks and bowed the arm having troubles juuuuuust slightly. Instantly fixed and pumping air again perfectly!

    How does it compare to the nicrew air pump?

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's way way more powerful than the Nicrew so if you're running a few tanks or a very big one it's ideal, if you only have one or two smaller aquariums the Nicrew is the way to go.
      Both pumps are very quiet but the Nicrew has extra features such as being able to run off the integrated battery if your electricity cuts out and the power saving mode.
