Never forget while out for a walk, the first time I heard David Gray on the radio, was an instant fan. Hope that one day he receives the recognition for all the blood, sweat and tears that he pours into his music.
This song came on as I pulled away from the cemetery after burying my brother...Ill never forget a thing about that moment and this song takes me there every time I hear it.
He is...what time itself was waiting for, and for that alone.....shall ever be.... One of only a very limited few I need to see live....I very much hope so....thanks David....
David, your music brings me to tears.... absolutely magnificent vocals and your music.......takes me away ... you have helped me through some dark days.. i thank you for your beautiful talent.
Listening to this track by David with tears in my eyes, on the third anniversary of my dearest Mum passing away. It's such a beautiful and emotional song!
Moves the soul. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. David and his crew performed here in Phoenix last month and it was a treasure to see them live.
LOVE David Gray's compositions tunes into HEART & SOUL the MOST. "TOUCHES beyond EXCELLENCE in EXPERIENCING what was once UNknown. My DEEPest APPRECIATION Marcel for UNcovering a few of David's unrecognizABLE songs. THANK U for SHARING ALWAYS~
Sad, beautiful song. I guess I picture someone in a hotel room, by the water, looking out and thinking about his lonely life. Getting ready to see him, in concert, for the 3rd time this summer...maybe he'll play it.
I've been to Luzern. It is an unforgettable small village with a small river running beside the town. Going up on the tram above the clouds is unforgettable. Go to the clock shop and see all the wonderful clocks. I brought most of them home with me. .lol.
I just uploaded a cover of this tune; couldn't help myself. I've been following DG's music my whole life and playing this song for over 10. There is so much humanity in his words.
I want this played at my funeral pyre, David...no adjective in the English lexicon allows you the credit deserved. True art cannot be replicated Mr. Gray. Kudos to one of a kind!!
A timeless piece of musical artistry and elegance. Pure genius in its emotional impact. This version especially is my absolute favourite Hopefully David releases a video describing how to play this song, like he’s been doing with the songs from White Ladder White Ladder is one of my all time favourite albums, but this song is hands-down my favourite song.
@MaxmumSpeed David normally has a Martin and Neil (to David's right) usually has a Taylor. I forget the bassist's name but he usually uses Olympia. I have never seen an Olympia like that before though.
I'm just here to make sure we never, ever forget what an epic artist this man is...I'll for sure update these very thoughts annually.
I just came across this song for the first time a couple weeks ago. I can’t stop listening to it. ❤
David Gray Lost Songs album is worth a listen. They have a few I like including this song from that album.
