That is such a great book, it would be awesome if she would collab with someone and develop an app with the book Info and have a forum for each plant for people to ask questions and share how their plant looks.
The 70€ Book is worth every. I also carry the big with me when i am traveling, as Alex does. It gives me every time Inspiration for new Aquarium Biotopes and it also makes me wanting to Travel to the real biotope. Love to every aquaristist who shares the Hobby we have ❤
THanks! I did not knew about those book. I wll order the pocket one as I am not nerdy enought and I really appreciate the chart at the bottom of the pocket one. I can look at picture and verify at glace if it will fit in my tank or water parameter.
I bought the original book right before buying my 1st 'big' tank back in 2012. Used it a lot to pick which plants to go for. Still got most of these plants in the tank. Does the new version got any new species like the Bucephalandra? Back in 2012 Bucephalandra was not (widely) available in my country, but it's everywhere now. Great plant!
It's got the 8 main species you find in the hobby, but not the strains or subtle differences that the sellers online or whatnot seem to market everything with. I have yet to find a good I.D. taxonomy based guide for buce' anywhere really. Add all the names in the hobby, and it's a mess lol
@@FishtoryI guess most species haven't been given proper scientific names and/or descriptions yet. Which is kinda strange since there are quite a few in the hobby. Most names in the hobby are just based on colour and/or shape lol. Still some of my fav plants that my 105gallon is filled with alongside Anubias, Cryptocoryne and Echinodorus. Well and a ton of other species.
Ooh, all aboard the nerd train! I'm all in on the big one; that goes on the wishlist for sure. Sometimes all I want is like, and AquaLog for plants, like the ones I have for Corydoras and Labyrinth fish.
Hi Alex! Do you still have to email someone to buy the larger book? I wanted to ask for it as a Christmas gift but I don't want to put my wife through that 😜
Hey alex i was thinking about having a VOTE for 4 types of plants species and which ever gets the highest vote you can make a short content about that plant from this book
That’s a beautiful granite countertop. I love the pattern. I love fossils 🐚, rocks 🪨,
& wood 🪵 as much as fish 🐡🐠🐟 & plants🌱.

That would be soooo cool!
