Perdón por mi ignorancia. Pero porqué rebajar con sierra y gubia eléctrica el nebari? Entiendo que está usted injertando raíces para mejorar el nebari. Pero tenía conicidad inicial... No entiendo el cortar parte de la base del tronco
La otra posibilidad era un acodo, y en los arces un acodo parcial no suele dar buen resultado. En realidad está a mitad de camino de un acodo y un injerto, por eso tener que quitar tanta madera (así no intentará cicatrizar). Este método me parece más sencillo, es más rápido y te aseguras de tener las raíces justo donde quieres y es completamente seguro para el árbol, por difícil de creer que parezca.

i was thinking a zip tie could've worked also, with a little rubber padding under the ziptie on the other side of the tree so the trunk won't be marked.

I was thinking he was going to layer it and wait for new roots.... I was very surprised when he started grafting the new roots!!! this is really cool.

what is the toilet paper? just auxins?
it keeps the rooting powder from washing away too fast. the powder/tissue combo is much cheaper than the purple gel.

モミジは自根が出やすいのでこんな事やらなくても大丈夫ですよ。
実際は根張りが悪く修正する時にする技術で環状剥皮を行う時はほぼ行いません。
とりあえずの自根が出なかった時の保険です。
癒着自体は簡単ですよ。
