How awesome you had Dan Schilling! The fact that the AF has remained clandestine with some of its operations is why my dad could do his job...My dad was a leader & that was evident his entire AF career & the people who stayed in his life...In my eyes the AF will always be the best particularly because it gets things done quietly & thoroughly...

Dano!! By far my best experience in the military was under Dan's command in a newly started up CCT unit in the Oregon Air National Guard. -HY

You guys are just checking all of the boxes, I love it! Thanks for always coming through. One request, please bring the "versus" back, starting with MARSOC, if you can. Continue your great work!

Aaron if your ever in Bellevue please come to Central Bar and Restaurant. I’d love to serve and have a chat with you about pararescue etc. Also we got a Everett development on the 26th if you wanted to come. I’m sure Coach Craig would be cool with it.

Watching the USAF mess itself every-time they pass up or totally foul up a chance to put itself into the public eye has just made me shake my head every time I see it. The USAF has always put forward a very confused image of itself. The Dept of the Navy has Top Gun and US Navy Seals (great stuff that is compelling even now, even to me). The USAF has Iron Eagle and Captain Marvel (two of the worst showcases for the USAF that could've been put together). Really enjoyed Mr. Shilling's book "Alone at Dawn" and hope they do it justice with the movie.

Are you slow the AIR FORCE attracts the smartest troops in general and by far the best special warfare specialists who are more accomplished while staying in the shadows unlike the seals the green berets and ranger regiment to a much lesser degree and DELTA are the best not surprisingly Delta ha.s more and more AFSOC guys as the. AF has perfected getting the best candidates to choose the Air Force since yo can go in at 17 go be a pj, CCT, sr, sowt and in 2 years be on track to a tier 1 operator working with delta or if you go pj you will be amongst the very best combat medics which are SF medics then NAVY SARCS leading PJs in some forms of field medicine but PJS have the benefit of rescue and recovery . Chapmans sacrifice for his men’s and that footage shows what USAF SOF community is all about outshining the seals with rotten barrels not just apples and the SF community along with rangers are great but not tier 1 possibilities with very few exceptions.

Just finished listening. I was introduced to Mr. Dan Schilling's (& Lori Longfritz) Alone at Dawn through Ones Ready. I picked it up in a little book shop in Jackson, WY during a quick COVID getaway last year. Looking forward to the movie and accurate portrayal. I later found out you guys train there, and can see why!
Anyhoo, I loved reading it and was hoping you guys would have him on one day. I was concerned as they say "you should never meet your heroes", but since this is probably the closest I'll get, I'm happy to report that this episode seem to prove me wrong. He, AND you all, continue to bring insight into your careers and the world of AFSOC. As a prior service US Army NCO you guys make me so proud of what you're doing for new potentials for AFSOC, your positive voice, and love your continued discussions on mental health as well as mental toughness (resiliency...). I end up working out during and after everytime I listen to you cats. Color me motivated and enlightened. Look forward to more from you.
