Man I used to love this game.. I played dark forces 2 on the MSN gaming network multiplayer back in the day, but this expansion was so badass because it added colored lighting to the game. This was of course when this game was the top of the line multiplayer FPS experience lol. I feel like the textures look kind of weird here for some reason
I wish someone ran Shadows of the Empire on the N64, it is likely to be hilarious, these Dark Forces games reminded me of it in more than one occasion. I tried to play it again recently and... well at least it still is a fond childhood memory..
Help me! When I was a kid we played some game and there was level with train and player needs to jump or crouch. My friend's father said that it was star wars game. Plz help me find it!!
misterxy1994 the game pauses with a significantly long time staring at the black screen every time you’re going to the menu in fullscreen, so this is purely to save time.
I'm not ENTIRELY sure it's worth playing. It's the expansion/sequel to Star Wars: Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, a game I grew up with, loved to death, replayed dozens of times and still occasionally play to this day. Mysteries of the Sith, though, doesn't quite have the same charm for me. Maybe that's because it's of lower quality, or maybe I just have nostalgia goggles.
I'd say the only reason one would call it lower quality is because it didn't have FMV cutscenes like the main Jedi Knight game did. However, in terms of gameplay and level design, I'd say it's just as good if perhaps shorter.
Debatable whether it takes the fun out of the game or not. Speedrunning easily encourages lots of replays however, which means longevity for the game. And a game that lives on long after initial creation is highly likely to be fun to play, in the way it is being played.
Runner introduction starts at 00:04. Run starts at 00:07.
The art direction in these games is really good. Look at anything; wow what a Star Wars looking whatever that is.
Yes, I miss that
I used to play around in level 1 all the time, but I never knew you could ride on the Tie Bomber like that. Amazing!
And I was like: "Let's see how he fares with the GIGANTIC last level" ... Skipped it completely, "WTF?!"

They're using the software renderer. The Direct3D one causes all kind of issues in modern Windows OS.
canyon oasis FF come at me bros
lol nice
you should come join the discord. a lot of zoners are hanging out there
this dude would be good at podracing IRL
Beating level 1 is by far the coolest speedrun I have ever seen for any game
I really liked this run

Someone actually ran the PC version at AGDQ 2017:

I wish they'd remake these older Star Wars games with modern graphics.
The donation reader has a great laugh!
I couldn`t beat first level in one week.I was 14

Shadows of the Empire?
Sonic - star wars edition
Gotta go fast, brah!
Does this guy play this game in such a small window?

Good to know, thanks!
WesleyB Crowen I’ve been really wanting to put this game in windowed mode... How did you do it?
The announcer in the end has such a cute laughter, holy moly
Hardly accurate...
What difficulty is he using?
Hard I think, because elevators move faster in higher difficulties
So stupid how the expansion was more difficult to run that the predecessor. Ie. 640x480
Or 1024 by 768
Wtf? Never heard of this game. I thought I knew every video game. Let alone every star wars game.
Potentially one of the scariest Star Wars games, to be honest.

It's an extension of Jedi Knight : Dark Forces II (the first Jedi Knight).
It amps up the difficulty by a wide margin though, bordering unfair.

Yup. Als no cutscenes with real actors. I just loved cutscenes from Jedi Knight!
Bruh
This actually takes the fun out of the game and it's not like this game is that lengthy to begin with. So... Eh.

Glitch run.
