    Full Review Here: techfordaddy.c...
    When I first started looking for user reviews on the Peloton Tread I had a heck of a time finding ones that related to me.
    Most reviews were from fitness experts that look like they workout 4 times per day or people so in shape they could run a marathon in about 2 hours.
    That’s not me.
    I was pretty athletic at one point - but that was about 15 years and 30 pounds ago. Now I needed something to help me on my path towards a more healthy lifestyle.
    I ended up getting the Peloton Tread about 6 months ago. I wanted to share why I got it and my review of it from an average fitness level standpoint.

      i love treadmill running (i know its strange) - device is beautiful and (from what I hear) quality. just not sure I'll use classes - proby will buy. the limit of not allowing you to use the monitor for TV or stream is huge for me though. i could see myself walking watching football or something. that cold be a deal breaker.

    • @dad.0
      @dad.0  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. There are days I wish I could watch a show or a sports game while working out. As of now, I have to use a separate device to do that.

      We live in Carson City, NV and the air quality has been unhealthy ALL SUMMER due to California's lack of responsible forestry and the subsequent fires. Going outside for a run is equivalent to smoking a pack of cigarettes.

    Great review...peloton was out of my price range but I did get a great bowflex treadmill and got the digital only subscription so I get access to all the classes and content for 12.99 a month....just another option if peloton is out of ur range....I also do agree with the motivation you get from the instructors...what I like is if I take a class and didn’t care for the instructor there are others so I’m not stuck with one!!

    Checked one out at the Scottsdale, AZ store. One thing I wish could be done is move the monitor up or down. I am 6'1" and I was looking just above the screen when looking straight. So would be nice to see the screen head on. Was not that bad and not a deal breaker. But just wish it was adjustable. Otherwise felt like a great thread mill and great quality. I did not think it was too big or long. Salesperson mentioned its same length as Peloton bike.

    Great Review. I currently have a NordicTrack treadmill but I am definitely considering getting a Peloton as my next treadmill. We will see. One thing I wanted to say is I believe you can watch Netflix on the Peloton Tread. I searched TH-cam and found multiple videos on installing Netflix on the Peloton Tread. If you search exactly for this:
    How to install Netflix on your NordicTrack or Peloton treadmill/bike in 2020
    ...then you will see the video I produced and I know for a fact it will install Netflix on the Peloton Tread, as well as on the NordicTrack Treadmills.
    Again thank you for a great review.

    How loud is it compared to a gym treadmill?

    • @dad.0
      @dad.0  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very tough to tell. In a gym environment, you typically have other noises (treadmills, bikes, etc)and a bigger space to disperse sound. I’d say this tread is “slightly” louder but in your home it sounds much louder (if that makes sense).

  • @PB-cx5nz
    @PB-cx5nz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you for sharing the noise level segment. Does it emit vibration on to the floors - If yes, are they felt in the room and or the neighboring room? I am trying to decide if I should be buying the expensive mat to keep under the Treadmill. Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

    • @dad.0
      @dad.0  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine is in the basement so it is tough to tell. However, I’m pretty confident you’d be able to hear the treadmill in the Room underneath it. I can hear it in the room above ours. It’s not bad but anything over 6 mph creates a “hum” that can be heard in shared wall rooms. Hopes this helps

    • @dad.0
      @dad.0  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, the “hum” isn’t from vibrations but more from the motor and tread revolutions. The tread itself is very solid and doesn’t vibrate on the floor.

    • @PB-cx5nz
      @PB-cx5nz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dad.0 thank you so much - this is super helpful. So glad to know that the tread won’t be rocking the building. I am guessing from your response - that the hum sound is similar to (but hopefully lesser than) the sound an average vacuum cleaner makes. 🤞🏻

      Hi Robert, my in laws use this mat on their hardwood floors for their Peloton Tread and it works great amzn.to/3hoPsqa. Little pricey but you are going to want a premium mat like this because this is a heavy piece of equipment that could rip through and damage floors with a less premium mat.
