  • Full Peloton Tread Review: techfordaddy.com/peloton-trea...
    I've been using the Peloton Tread for over a year now and I wanted to do a follow up to my 6-month Peloton Treadmill Review. Peloton has done a fantastic job keeping classes and content coming daily even during a pandemic.
    My review of the Peloton Tread features a lot of what I love about the treadmill and a few things that still bother me. Overall, I am still very please with this purchase.
    If you are thinking about getting a Peloton Tread, I would highly recommend it. It is a lot of money but if you finance it, it's roughly the same price as a gym membership. Plus, you get to workout at home, never have to wait to use the equipment, and don't have o worry about germs.

    I have had the Peloton tread for almost 2 years. Starting 7 months ago the tread began to abruptly stop while I was running or walking and the screen would read "tread has stopped communicating". Sometimes the screen would then shut down or continue to not communicating with the tread. The tread does not just slow down when this happens. I could be going 9mph and it stops me in my tracks. It is extremely dangerous. Peloton has been awful! I have been trying to get them out to the house for the past 5 months. They were set to arrive for repair December 4th but did not show. Now, they have rescheduled for January 11th. FYI if you have trouble with your treadmill do not expect to get it repaired quickly!

      I am considering buying the Tread+ but am worried about this same issue. Also, what you describe is a very common treadmill issue, when there is any sort of friction or extensive use on treadmills the motor can overheat, when this happens the treadmill is designed to shut down to prevent damage. It is usually indicative of a mechanical problem or part failure and most of the time the belt needs replacing or repair. I hope you can get yours fixed soon!

    Your setup is obviously way below the Peloton recommended space of 2' front/side and 6' rear of the tread. Do you have any concerns with the small space the Tread is located in? Also, did the delivery installers hesitate due to the small space? My ideal space is only slightly bigger than where you have your Tread located. I don't care about doing activity right next to the treadmill. I have another space for yoga and strength exercises. Thanks.

    Can’t anyone do anything anymore without a screen in their face?

    You pay for screen size and marketing. You are better off with a buying a tread with a smaller built in-screen and buying a projector. Its more enjoyable to run with your head up looking at an 80 plus inch projection than squinting at a screen.

    • @dad.0
      @dad.0  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right. However, this screen is pretty large so you definitely don't have to squint

    What a waste of money, if you really want to stay fit and healthy, there are tons of other options out there than a stationary bike and a treadmill for 1/10th of the cost. Not to mention ergonomically the last thing you want to do while running is stare at a 25" screen...

      This waste of money has helped me lose 20 lbs and improve my overall health. It’s worth every penny in that sense

      @@dad.0 sure, but what I'm saying is you don't have to spend $2000 and $35/month to do that. Any stationary bike, any treadmill, any other equipment could've yielded the same results.

    • @dad.0
      @dad.0  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@alvinmc5593 that’s true. But, at least for me, because I spent so much money on it I feel more obligated to use it everyday than my old $200 treadmill that just collected dust. I agree though, it is overpriced and if you’re a more motivated person you can save some money and go for a cheaper solution. Cheers!

      @@alvinmc5593 True. Each of us have different levels of finances and willingness to spend money on different items. I don't think this video is stating you must use a Peloton for your fitness.

    • @dad.0
      @dad.0  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I get it. But, there are some really easy fixes to make this save.
      1. Take the safety key out and out of reach
      2. Unplug it
      3. Add the new passcode feature
      4. Don’t allow your kids access to the room unsupervised

    NOTE: This product works exactly as described. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxguEIMc_Qwab-3QMTpF6jaRL80hiOOsIN It originally earned a four-star review due to a minor defect (see below). However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(canyoutalk)  to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!
