Ugghhh. Not fun. Put in some good bacteria. I recommend Microbe Lift Special Blend. Stinks like a sewer but works great to add beneficial bacteria. Microbe Lift isn’t just for starting a new tank. I keep some on hand and add to the tank anytime I think it needs a boost.

Try getting a media basket that hold everything inside chamber 1 and add a bag of bio media rocks or rings, and some filter floss. You will be happier 😊 and your water will always look clean
I have a nano tank and got a new ai prime16 HD what height do you recommend I keep the light above the water with your settings? My tank is 450mm deep. Also what do you recommend for keeping nitrates up as mine keeps hitting zero after 2 of my fish died should I remove some media or dose n03?
Hello. I run my lights 11 inches (28 cm) above the water. If you want to increase nitrates, I recommend first try just over feeding the fish you have with a good frozen Mysis shrimp. If you don’t have any fish left feed like you do. If still not increasing, remove media that absorbs waste, such as purigen. As for dosing. As far as dosing, you have a small tank, small errors could produce big numbers, so try naturally first

I read how great oxydators are so I set one up from day one. It’s really kept my ugly phase to a bare minimum

@@saltypops4276 yeah ill try more mysis but I tried feeding more protein pallet food and it keeps bottoming out

I only use no.pox red sea to solve everything you say.. not much i use 40ml for a 350g tank every 4 days..
