I have a twin stainless steel custom exhaust on my Peugeot 107. It came with the car. I've just bought a standard exhaust as going to sell the custom one. It pops and bangs etc. Just way too loud for my liking. This video is great as clearly shows the job being done and informative also. Thank you.

Much obliged for the Vid. The pipe coming from my engine had detached at the muffler on my Aygo. This vid just saved me £110!! I managed to get a local parts shop to get me a new silencer for £49 delivered within 2 hours. Kwikfit quoted me £157 to replace it. Needless to say after watching this I did it myself. Many thanks.

Corrosion on Exhaust was an advisory on my MOT. It fell off before I repaired it . Bought a new bracket and passed next MOT without any advisory. Simple job and easy for a simpleton like me. Always good to inspect the rubber mountings, as these can be replaced at the same time.

Great video thanks, my son owns one of these and is learning to drive and the rear hanger has come loose off the weld . I see there's a repair bracket and I was originally going to opt for that , but after watching this, I've gone for the complete back box and I'm going to give him his first lesson on maintaining his car . It's also due a mot in January , so for the sake of £40 it's a no brainer. Thanks again for posting this.

That's so cool, My 107 has just had this happen. I popped into Kwik fit & they said it's the exhaust bracket gone. Recommended a welder because Kwik fit would just replace the back box if they did it, but the local welder said it'll likely be cheaper to just get the back box, but I would be way out my depth & don't have a jack etc. But it was interesting watching you fix it! I shall try find a place cheaper than Kwik fit anyway.

Definitely need to find a long term stainless steel solution for this, the corrosion on these exhausts is too frequent, I'm looking for my 3rd one now and although they are cheap and easy to fit, I can see them rotting again within a year or two max. Great video. My experience was less straightforward and haven't been able to fit the new back box yet. My clamp was really really corroded. Used loads of WD40. It took hours to get off. A 13mm socket and ratchet should have got the thing off. I had to drill the bolt out in the end. (The clamp on mine was a one-piece and only has one bolt through it.) I put a block of wood behind and taped an old sponge to the back of the clamp to hold it in one place in order to drill it out. I'm struggling to get the new pipe to slide onto the existing one, it seems a tight fit. Possibly because the old one is quite rusty. I'm thinking I might spray a bit more WD40 on the old pipe and maybe use a bit of sandpaper on it to clean it up a bit more. Have you got any other tips or suggestions for sliding the new pipe onto the old one? If you have any suggestions, they would be much appreciated.

@@aaanton11 Part arrived today (great work by Parts Monster and Royal Mail) and I have fitted it onto the car.
Not the best fit as it currently is twisting the rubber shock mount about 45 degrees due to the angle of the hook. Also the bracket isn't flat against the tail pipe so the clamping action isn't the best there either.
But it does lift the exhaust back into a more normal position and all the exhaust is clear of any body work. Shaking the exhaust box and it all looks good with nothing fouling.
Due to the cold concrete garage floor aggravating my back, I'll look at it in a few days to see if I can get more of the twist out of the rubber mount, but I doubt I will be able to.

Tried to do mine and failed miserably, eventually gave up and took it to a local garage - they checked the whole exhaust as another local garage said I needed an entire exhaust. I supplied the back box - about £35. They charged me £15 to fit it!

Well here I am again, just replaced back box again! Won’t be buying Klarius exhausts again. Tried my local quick fit - they quoted over £800 - Cat, front pipe and back box, despite no signs of Cat problems. Did it in less than an hour total cost £62 for an A2A box.
