Getting several hundreds and hundreds of tons of a wide variety of cargo safely to the selected location that Luna Base will occupy, will give us invaluable practice for when this shit starts to get REAL. The location for Luna Base needs to be hammered out ASAP. It should have abundant water ice and provide as much natural protection from cosmic rays as possible. Many materials provide at least some protection from cosmic rays. Integrating these materials into the bases modules is, of course, required. Material such as polyethylene, a good protector from cosmic rays, needs to be utilized extensively. Its light weight is a huge bonus.
