    I have never been happy with the accuracy of my CZ 457 MTR,,,, until now. I installed the shim (from TriggerShims) and it went from mediocre, with regular flyers, to a one hole shooter. I am amazed at what a simple fix had on the accuracy of this rifle.

    Nice shooting man, the shims are worthwhile in my opinion, I have 3 Ruger 77s, a 17 hmr, 22 mag and a 22 Hornet and have bolt shims installed on all of them.

    Just watching your video here, I saw you adjust your front rest up a lot with the CZ 452 and then back down slightly. I have heard from a number of precision shooters that you should always finalize your front rest adjustment with a up motion. Something about the recoil of the rifle and the direction of the adjustment causing it to shift, where finishing with an up motion helps prevent that. I don't pretend to understand as I am just a simple man, but I thought you may want to look into it.

    Very Impressive. The shims seem to be doing great for those 22s. Entertaining as always!

    I USED A PAPER HOLE PUNCH ON STICKY ORANGE POST IT NOTES AND SHOT THOSE FOR TARGETS .CHEAP BUT VERY INTIMIDATING ,TARGETS.
    I LEARNED IT FROM A BUDDY OF MINE THAT SHOT COMPETITION BENCH REST BACK IN THE 80S.
    THEY SHOT 5 SHOTS AT 100 YARDS WITH WILDCAT LOADS BACK THEN,CENTER FIRE OF COURSE.
    GOT SO MANY MINUTES TO SHOOT,HAND LOAD SHELLS (AT THE BENCH) THEN SHOOT AGAIN.
    THAT WAS EARLY 1980S

    What dia. is your barrel? Wondering how this tuner would work on a 1.18" barrel 24-25" barrel.

  • @Ouwkackemann
    @Ouwkackemann 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I need your help.
    I have a CZ455 with a 22" Lothar Walther bull barrel, it is very front heavy.
    Sometimes it shoots lights out, sometimes it is a pita.
    And, I can´t hold on target after the shot, it always jumps.
    Makes me crazy, with the 6.5 Creed and the .308 Win I can stay on target after the shot, but not with my .22.
    What do I do wrong?

      @joed3264 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That was a close out price. You won't find any for less than $12 a box. A good friend of mine is the importer of RWS and Anschutz.

  • @ShootingAndReloading
    @ShootingAndReloading 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It was interesting to note that on firing the 452, there was no movement in the bolt handle at all. Typically they do jump up slightly. However, the 455's bolt handle was still jumping up as normal. Would adding more shim thickness help the 455?

    • @125saito
      @125saito 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kevin. What does the jumping bolt handle indicate?

    • @Dayattherange
      @Dayattherange  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice observation

    • @ShootingAndReloading
      @ShootingAndReloading 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@125saito Honestly, I'm not sure. It would seem to suggest that energy is being wasted somewhere - either when the firing pin is hitting the case or from "bolt setback" on recoil. I'm wondering if preventing this movement (thicker shims?) may result in greater MV SD and / or accuracy.

    • @michaelcunningham6641
