right?? the only idol who impress me as much is chen from exo and they havent had a comeback for a long time 😭 sorry for bringing up another idol lol but it’s just how i feel aaaa >
I was also thinking about what that ATEEZ sound we all could recognize but cannot explain HAHAHA but for me, it's their voices, especially Jongho's. There's literally no one in their industry that I've heard that sounds similar to his voice and singing style.
no bc i haven't heard a single song that sounds like the ring ever. it's not even my favorite track but it's definitely the peak of what music can make me feel fr.
wdig sounding very space/universe ish goes very well with the theme. it's about being completely disoriented and i interpret the composition as a way to make you feel like you're floating with no sense of direction.
your complete crisis after listening to the ring might be the most relatable thing ever. never thought cinematic hiphop with organs and strings would be what i'd get from a punk inspired album concept.
I love your comment about Jongho and it reminds me of this thought I always had about his voice. I personally am not a fan of belts in songs, mostly because many belting moments in songs feel unnecessary. Especially when the song feels like a belt is added just to simply prove that the vocalist can sing, but the song is good enough (or even better) without it. What I love about Ateez songs and why I ult them is because the belts Jongho pulls feel like another instrument on its own instead of a scream or a point to prove? I always compare Jongho's belts to an electric guitar note---he adds to the song instead of adding to a performance. He isn't proving his voice, he doesnt need to, rather he is proving that a song can be further enhanced with another instrument (him). and this is coming from someone who doesnt even bias jongho!! hehehe
to add as well, that's also why I appreciate Deja Vu by Ateez... Jongho didnt go so high in the bridge, making that one of the few Ateez songs where he doesnt belt. I appreciated it... The song did not need a belt, so Jongho did not belt. Black Cat Nero did not originally have his extreme run, but oh boy was that an amazing addition to the song.
I can't agree more w dis comment. Unnecessary belting moments in a kpop song is what makes me decide not to give a second listen to the song. I'm fussy like dat. I love what you say abt Jongho's voice adding on to the song, like an instrument. It's the perfect description.
Before the album release, KQ released the highlight preview of all songs in album. And I knew The Ring and New World are my top 2 of the album. Listening to those full songs don't disappoint at all, still my top 2. U know what, when I watched your streaming (belatedly) and seeing your reactions after cyberpunk, my inner thought was just, "No, mate. U shouldn't be in awe yet with just those songs. What would u do when u hear the rest of the songs (the ring and so on)? Lol." And my guess was right, u also fell hard to the bottom of the sink hole with The Ring, and happened to like New World too, just like me. Lol. I kinda knew since both of us also love The King so much.
Yeah, I'm STILL processing the rest of the album if I'm being honest. It's so freaking interesting and detailed and there's sooooooo much to catch when you're listening. 🤯
It's interesting that you mention their vocals being almost acapella like on this album. *The* acapella group Pentatonix asked if Ateez would collab on one of their songs. Jongho, San and Yunho wound up participating on PTX's song "A Little Space". That collab was actually my first introduction to Ateez. This occurred probably around the time that the songs for this album were being worked on, so who knows, maybe a little acapella greatness rubbed off on them.
this whole album inspires me to buy expensive ass airpod pro just to fully experience the greatness of the dolby atmos feature 🥲. It was especially present in the last 3 songs. the level of epicness is just 🤯🤯. RIGHT!! I KNEW YOURE GONNA GO WITH NEW WORLD!! There's just something to heart tugging about their passion, their spirit here that makes me teary everytime I hear this song. The melody, progression, and instrumental are just crazy. I also played in a band but I'm not a musician. I really want to hear music producer’s take on the whole album because this album is not for pop loving netizens. This album is pure art.
YO I agree 100% about it being pure art. It's insane how good the whole thing is from start to finish. 👀 But yeah, listening with my in-ears definitely helped me hear all the little nuances in the mix and I'm so glad I did. It was CRAZY. 🤯
My favorite ateez album by far! And I also lost it with New World! It’s sooo freaking good. I LOVE Jonghos voice in it. Something really addictive about it. Jongho sounds immaculate in this album. He’s always delivers excellence but he’s topped himself in this album for sure. All of them have! They sound absolutely incredible and I’m sooo proud of them 😭😩
WHO IS THE ONE WHO DIDN'T GET HER NOTIFICATIONS !??? MEEEE !!! AAAAAAAA YOOUUUTTTUUBBEEEE I HATE UUU these days yt dont like me like i couldn't add a comment to your guerrilla reaction and now this ! tch ..was so ready for the stream 😭 well .. happy for all those who were in the stream ... the album is a 💣 evey song has this futuristic vibe to it and i love it , CYBERPUNK is my favorite so far anyways I'm going to continue watching 💀
Oh noooooo, I'm so sorry it messed up for you. 😩 I'll be doing more of these types of things in the future, so there will definitely be more opportunities to join! Thank you for watching after the fact, Tera. 😭
Seriously, BIG kudos to ATEEZ, and their Creative and Production Teams. This album, the whole body of work they released for this comeback is legendary, iconic, revolutionary. The entire album as a whole, feels to me, like righteous revenge, reclamation, redemption, retribution, and revolutionary rage. Like, "Holy Wrath". I can't choose a favorite song from this album, it's a whole no-skip masterpiece. For me, this entire album's lyrics, vocal text painting, music production, storytelling, visuals, art design, soundscape, choreography, styling, and concept as a whole body of work is so epically encompassing, liberating, cathartic, cinematic, complex, and surprisingly progressive yet also thought-provokingly familiar, with so much substance and nuanced layers to unpack. This release is a true well thought out Art piece that wholly conveys objective meaning AND subjective interpretation; it's truly a wall-breaking, ground-breaking, record-breaking genius body of work, a gift that keeps on giving. It's innovative cohesively chaotic genius, one of the best albums I've heard in years. I find it amazing that the whole rebellious mavericks theme of ATEEZ as a group and for this comeback even bleeds into how the intention of producing each song for this album defies the very logic of song structure and music theory. Truly breaking status quo, pushing past limits of what is expected, and reinventing things anew. And I think it's fascinating how the album is meant to be a whole listening experience journey, mirroring the complex unpredictability and extremity of human nature and the expansive human experience itself beginning to end full circle in cycles. I love how everything was carefully curated yet also intuitively conveyed. I also love how each track is mechanically "cerebral" sounding, grand/ bold, odd, liminal, ambiguous, sophisticated, bright/ flashy, industrial, experimental/ new/ fresh, musically technical "sensory overload", nonconforming, and individualistic "noise music", yet also passionately raw and emotionally soulful, down to earth, comprehensible, directional, concise, gritty, dark, primal, primordial, emotionally moving, anthemic, infectious, and unifying; in short, "cool" yet still relatable. Each song feels like a shocking awakening turned into a life- altering epiphany turned into the instinctual determined call for movement, change, and action with a "the light at the end of the dark tunnel" feeling, the human psyche going through cognitive dissonance and clarity, stagnation and progression, death and rebirth, destruction and recreation; as if every major moment of upheaval that every human experiences at least once in their life was encapsulated and translated into music. All of the songs in ATEEZ' The World Ep. 1: Movement sound "movie score" worthy. I could totally imagine these as BGM and OSTs for a dystopian cyberpunk movie with a lot of bleak, dark, gritty/gnarly scenes and niche obscured "underground" scenes/ societies. It's as if every extreme life - changing moment in the human psyche and experience when pushed past limits with all its grueling grave lows and glorious great highs and every complex extreme deep emotion in between, were all turned into songs, songs that come "full circle" as calls for "beginnings" and proclamations of "ends" of cycles, birth & death, revelation & revolution, stagnation & evolution, ambition & resignation, expression, repression, suppression, depression, immersion, liberation.. All encapsulated into an album. It all feels distinct yet also ambiguous, tangible yet also diaphanous, like a cliffhanger full of potential possibilities and "open doors". The soundscape of this album paints a picture of how humans only truly reach their biggest potential when pushed past their limits. I also find it cool how album is aptly named The World: Movement and how it correlates with my perception of it; how each track & the entirety of the album feels all encompassing like it all comes into "full circle"(literally & figuratively like the Earth/ World) in many ways, how the album, the name, and everything else fits the story/ explanation behind their new Möbius loop logo.. And also with the movement name, the album gives me a sense of dynamic movement too in many different ways. Movement, in the sense of unified action for a cause, moving forward, getting up and taking action, changing perceptions and perspectives through exploring other schools of thought, and movement in the sense of viewing this album like how one would view the movements and stories in a classical music piece. The World: Movement is such a fitting name for this. Their whole body of work this era with the album, the MV, the visual concepts, the promotion strategies, and the performances, truly is a whole package embodying Art and the essence of true revolutionary Artists; bringing about the electrifying winds of change and reform, creative expression and expansion, disruption for a cause, evocation and provocation of profound meaning, emotion and movement. If I were to sum up all of their past work, I'd say that so far, this era/album is their greatest work, their Magnum Opus. Truly a Marvel in time, they truly cemented their status as Mavericks in the industry with this. I think only their next future releases can possibly top this for me. I love the musical direction and approach they took for the production of this album. I feel like the "messy" all over the place structure of Guerrilla and the rest of the songs in the album was intentionally done to fit the theme/ narrative and to shake things up and add shock value, adhering to their concept for this era along with the objective to "make noise" to make noise and be heard. What I mean by this is that, the songs sound metallic, mechanical, gritty, gnarly, raw, primal, unpredictable, heavy, dark, moody, uncomfortable, jarring, aggressive, chaotic, erratic, and like there's so much going on, because they mirror and paint the context of what happens in an uprising revolution; the effects of worlds destroyed to be rebuilt again and all its trials and tribulations on the human psyche, of beginnings and ends of cycles in full circle, of losses and gains, of the storm and chaos in the physical/ tangible/ material world and also in the internal/ psychological/ emotional worlds of the people involved in the upheaval of the industrial dystopian world, and how the human nature processes it all as individuals and as a society; the way this was done, seems to convey how the human nature experiences the impact of jarring change and disruption, along with the most extreme of uninhibited ferocious emotions from the grave grueling lows and great glorious highs people feel when pushed past their limits. I find it interesting how the songs feel like open ended cliffhangers too. Because other than this album being a start of a movement in parts from the lore, it may also be because it implies for us to derive conclusions on our own about where/ how it should go from here, and also maybe because the context/ purpose of this album relating to it's target audience, is to leave potential possibilities and "open doors" in the mind for people to mull over, just like how in real life, major life upheavals leave us with open options/ endings and potential possibilities to choose from. When humans are pushed past their limits by an upheaval leading to a "clear blank slate"/ new world, a new potential for possibilities & decisions in life is paved, & you can choose to either let that experience break you or mold you, to either wither from it or to grow from it. ..I feel like this aspect in human nature, relates greatly with the way the songs and album were produced and influences how the prod team intended for us to perceive the songs/ album. Because even though we're not time-traveling space renegade pirates, we all have/had moments of realization, reckless abandon, rebellion, revolting, fear, hope, despair, desolation, camaraderie, unity, fury, outrage, vigor, valor, ambition, anticipation, desperation, determination, resignation, suppression, repression, oppression, depression, deception, expression, liberation, elation, gain, loss, resentment, disappointment, listlessness, emptiness, numbness, injustice, etc and such profound momentous experiences of the human existence as a collective, is artfully conveyed, interpreted, & filtered through ATEEZ' cinematic portrayal. This is why I love Ateez' music, they are and they give gifts that keep on giving. Through a whimsical theatrical artistic lens, they touch upon the driving forces behind the pulse of humanity. Life imitates Art, that's consistently true with ATEEZ. Like how they have always done, they explored the inner workings of the human mind and the intricacies of the human experience and youth in this album too. But compared to their other eras, the chapter of The World Ep. 1: Movement is raw & gritty, stripped of naïvety and whimsy. The jaded dreamer/ tortured artist/ / scorned survivalist/ daredevil hero/warrior mindset of renegade anarchist rebel pirate musicians in a underground resistance was tastefully portrayed IMO. The whole album really gives off a "Do or Die. All or Nothing. We have nothing to lose. No fear. This is worth living/dying for." feeling to me. When I say this album changed me, I'm not kidding. Listening to it for the first time felt like a life-altering experience, as if I "shifted" to another perception of "reality". I was reborn, I grew, it changed me on a molecular level, it changed the trajectory of my life, I evolved, I was never the same again after this.
watching your reactions reminds me of my first time listening too !! i just wanted to let you know (in case you’re not already aware), the person speaking in propaganda and the person who does the high harmonies is maddox! he’s a producer on tons of ateez songs, and he even has songs of his own out! the mv for knight is beautiful, and he has a lovely and light soprano timbre that i just adore. he’s an incredible vocalist and even covered adele’s easy on me during the europe and japan leg of the fellowship tour. you should check him out!
Love your reactions! Since your bias is Jongho, if you haven't already you should really watch their live version of Black Cat Nero and their Wonderland performance from Kingdom!
Hi ! I watched the listening party and It was really good! Thank you so much for your videos! The album is one of their best, the vocals, the music! They raised the bar so high! The guys are incredibles and nothing can stop them in terms of music and creativity! It's clearly impossible to choose just on favorite song. Propaganda with the stranger things vibes!!!! Sector 1 is a great song to start their revolution! Guerrilla is a monster of power as Hala hala or win were before this release (but they still are) . Cyberpunk ! I'm addicted to it, that song is so good! I'm a new wave/synth wave/pop wave fan ( I'm 42, I grow up with this genre 😅) it gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. I love take me home as well of course. The sax solo... chef kiss! The ring : I'm speachless about this song. Such a journey! there's a dark vibe. Maybe they wanted to prepare us to go to Mordor to defeat Sauron?!! The ending is just mind blowing! The vocals in wdig are so beautiful and I love all the differents layers of sounds and beats they ad in there songs! and of course New world . What a song, an emotional rollercoaster. Just wow! their vocals , Jongho!!! The melody!!!! Everything is so epic. imagine the song live with a band! I had a lot to say today 😆, sorry! Thanks again for your work and talent. it's always great to watch your videos! Have a great day!
Hi, Mel! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I always enjoy reading other's opinions/appreciation for the boys. Your support and time means so much. 🥹
m a big fun of world series so m glad to watch your lives even tho m late lol world era is my ultimate specifically the outlaw but hearing movement and outlaw right after IS SUCH A JOURNEYYYYYY - propaganda is such an epic start tho - sector 1 performance was so good like the camera movement etc - you dont wanna know how much i cry hearing cyberpunk on repeat coz it's so beautifully saaaaddd but m gagged seeing the choreo later😭😭😭 - your live stream record just reminds me to appreciate the ring more coz it's soooooooooo good - wdig sounded too messy for me ngl but it grew on me (same goes to paradigm and the king) - new world is an anthem for me lol CONCLUSION: I LOVE 'EM ALL like i've never been into a group/band/solo THIS DEEP that i love every single song they offer😂
Yo, thank you so much for taking the time to go back and watch/comment! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. 😌🙏🏻but for real, listening to Ateez really is a journey. 😂
Thank you for the stream! It was fun n ur reactions are hilarious and relatable! This was the first livestream tt I stayed in and watched from start to finish. At the end I was like huh 😦?? An hour and half went by too fast.
Been busy streaming the Guerrilla mv (to help ATEEZ get these wins 😤) so I didn’t have time to watch this until now but even though I already loved the songs, hearing you break down it’s musicality made me fall in love with them even more and appreciate ATEEZ, Eden, the Edenary team, and just KQ in general so much more 🥹
I also agree with Guerrilla not having enough Wooyoung, I find that his voice really peaks through amongst the music/in ad libs so I was searching for it (more) in Guerrilla ㅠㅠ
Ay, I'm just glad you're helping them get ALL THOSE WINS. 😤🤘🏻 But thank you so much for watching! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. 🫰🏻 Also yeah, we needed more Wooyoung. 🤦🏼♂️
Thank you so much, Fredda! There will be many more opportunities for you to catch streams, trust me. 😁 But thank you for that, it really means the world. 🫰🏻
A video of Jongho on Lee Mujin's Service (show to highlight vocalists) just came out today and it's absolutely beautiful. With how much you love him, I think it's worth watching. th-cam.com/video/_XfeoJCEfWc/w-d-xo.html
I listened to all the video, and got really surprised when someone actually remarked a similar part from a song to another, but I haven't seen one person so far talking about how Cyberpunk's chorus has -something- (I am not a musician and I don't know what the actual term should be used, so I'm not using one, but it's Seonghwa's part when it's falling? down? decreasing? idk) that is the same from Stray Kids' Circus. I just really want to know if anyone else has listened to this similarity or if I'm just insane, and if there's a musician out there who can say what is the same or, if not, just what is the similarity between both songs. TT
Ohhhh I need to look into this. My guess from memory would be that both songs have similar chromatic vocal runs in them. I'm not sure if they're the same key though. 🤔
@@ThatKpopGuitarist oh yeah, totally! I was talking with a friend today about this and I went after the specific part of Circus that reminded me of Cyberpunk, but I couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was :/ But! as I listened to both songs again and again, there's definitely a similarity - I noticed at the first time I listened to cyberpunk and I just can't ignore it - but they're more definitely not the same and, as unknowledge as I am in the matter, I'd say they're in different keys too. Also, she also said something about new world reminding her of this one song from Fall Out Boys (she doesn't know which though).
as a vocalist, jongho's delivery on this album is probably the best vocal performance i've heard from kpop in a Long Long time.
Yeah, I keep thinking that. It's on a whole-new level.
right?? the only idol who impress me as much is chen from exo and they havent had a comeback for a long time 😭 sorry for bringing up another idol lol but it’s just how i feel aaaa >
HE ALWAYS DELIVER LIKE THE VOCAL LEGEND HE IS...
I was also thinking about what that ATEEZ sound we all could recognize but cannot explain HAHAHA but for me, it's their voices, especially Jongho's. There's literally no one in their industry that I've heard that sounds similar to his voice and singing style.
Yo, for real. I agree with that 100000% 😤

Yo, I'm still SHOOK by that song. I never thought I'd be that lost for words, haha. 🤣
"my head is involuntarily moving" i chuckled i was headbanging my entire first run through this album.
Hahaha I didn't even realize it until after it was already moving. 😂
I am a Jongho Bias, and he’s my favorite, but all of them are my favorites but Jongho’s vocals are just beyond anything really. I love his voice.
Yeah, he's so freaking good! His live vocals are INSANE.
as a jongho bias i really like ur reaction !!! not many people recognized our maknae vocal king !!!
Thank you! It's impossible not to! 👀🤯
I love your comment about Jongho and it reminds me of this thought I always had about his voice.

I love what you say abt Jongho's voice adding on to the song, like an instrument. It's the perfect description.
harmonies are so good as well... i'm so sorry for spamming the comments i'm just so obsessed with this album.
Pshhhh, don't worry about it! This is a safe place to freak out about their music and I appreciate it. 😄
I swear the ring is a villain origin song
Haha I could totally see that. 👀🤔

Because even though we're not time-traveling space renegade pirates, we all have/had moments of
realization, reckless abandon, rebellion, revolting, fear, hope, despair, desolation, camaraderie, unity, fury, outrage, vigor, valor, ambition, anticipation, desperation, determination, resignation, suppression, repression, oppression, depression, deception, expression, liberation, elation, gain, loss, resentment, disappointment, listlessness, emptiness, numbness, injustice, etc and such profound momentous experiences of the human existence as a collective, is artfully conveyed, interpreted, & filtered through ATEEZ' cinematic portrayal.
The jaded dreamer/ tortured artist/
/ scorned survivalist/ daredevil hero/warrior mindset of renegade anarchist rebel pirate musicians in a underground resistance was tastefully portrayed IMO. The whole album really gives off a
"Do or Die.
Okay, so this might be one of the coolest and well-written comments I've read. Way to encapsulate almost everything I felt and then some. 🤯🫰🏻
@@ThatKpopGuitarist OMG thank you so much for reading through all of it and for taking time to reply with your kind compliments 💖
@@nathalied3755 of course! Thank you for leaving it! 😁
This album literally feel like im into a world that beyond us like futuristic something🔥🔥😭 i love it!!!
Yeah, I'm still blown away by it tbh. 🥹
watching your reactions reminds me of my first time listening too !! i just wanted to let you know (in case you’re not already aware), the person speaking in propaganda and the person who does the high harmonies is maddox! he’s a producer on tons of ateez songs, and he even has songs of his own out! the mv for knight is beautiful, and he has a lovely and light soprano timbre that i just adore. he’s an incredible vocalist and even covered adele’s easy on me during the europe and japan leg of the fellowship tour. you should check him out!
Thanks for that! I've actually heard his cover of Easy On Me on TH-cam and I agree. He has an amazing voice!!
Love your reactions! Since your bias is Jongho, if you haven't already you should really watch their live version of Black Cat Nero and their Wonderland performance from Kingdom!
Yo, Jongho EATS that performance. 🤯
ALBUM OF THE YEAR, NO SKIP
NOT. A. SINGLE. ONE.

Thank you for the stream! It was fun n ur reactions are hilarious and relatable! This was the first livestream tt I stayed in and watched from start to finish. At the end I was like huh 😦?? An hour and half went by too fast.
That's so kind of you! I'm just glad that you enjoyed it. 🥹 Thank you for being there!!
But thank you so much for watching! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. 🫰🏻
Also yeah, we needed more Wooyoung. 🤦🏼♂️
rewatching the stream bc i need some ateez appreciation today
You're always welcome back, anytime. 😄🫰🏻

You're so welcome, Daniell! I'm glad you enjoyed it. 🤘🏻
A video of Jongho on Lee Mujin's Service (show to highlight vocalists) just came out today and it's absolutely beautiful. With how much you love him, I think it's worth watching. th-cam.com/video/_XfeoJCEfWc/w-d-xo.html
Ooooooo I will! Thank you for sending it over!!
when they wre in america, some of the members stayed longer to take singing and dancing courses
All all of that is paying off now. Gosh. 🤯
@@ThatKpopGuitarist how can they get better and better every time?!
We are always so surprised
They are too good!
THE SYNTH IN NEW WORLD REMINDS ME SO MUCH OF FIGHT TRACKS IN UNDERTALE. battle of the undying type progression.
I've not played Undertale, but I believe you!
NOOOO I MISSED IT FUCK
Ayyy, it's alright! There will be more! 😁
The Ring= song NOT even 20 seconds 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Hay mucha veces dónde ponen quien canta al incorrecto 😭
Yep, can't trust those things. 🤦🏼♂️
Damn, I missed the st43am :/
There will be many more opportunities, trust me. 😁
Lol lord of the rings 🤣💀
One of my favorite fandoms. 😌
Ateez dont need backup vocal because there Vocal king in team..so all song frm album just Ateez only sing
