Some things that my husband pointed out that I thought I'd share after I showed him the trailers and Guerrilla because of all the cyberpunk / LOTR references, and since he's a photographer/videographer who's really into cinematography and film: - I missed the obvious Blade Runner vibes because I've never seen it lol oops - He also pointed out the Bell payphone immediately lmao, any other Canadians notice it too? - The old man with the broken glasses is very Gandalf-y with Ateez as the fellowship, which is neat because of the later LOTR references in The Ring and with The Fellowship being in the name of their tours this year - He really liked the revolutionary painting shot in the Guerrilla MV as well, but wished it were longer. He suspects it was supposed to be and it could be that that was the only usable footage they got - Josh can't stand k-pop but said Guerrilla is his least disliked song he's heard so far! That is saying a lot, trust me 😂

Then I read the title "The Ring" and actually was joking when I related it to the one ring... until I heard the last two lines. 🤣 And of course I misheard the "murder" part: I thought it said "Mordor" and was quite confused. Many Atiny said that Left-eye was a kind of Gandalf and I really like it (and with Gandalf/Left-eye, Ateez consists of nine people - the fellowship). So now I am really curious who represents what LOTR character...?🧐🤪 Sorry, geeked out here! But I really liked your reaction! ❤
This storyline is very similar to the plot of Equilibrium which is a movie i LOVEEEEEEEE so I'm so happy ;_; The movie takes place after WW3, citizens have to take pills to supress emotions and all art/music/anything that elicits emotion is banned because emotion will create war. Thought police come and incinerate people that aren't adhering to the rules of society. Of course there's an uprising led by Christian Bale looking fine af ooof. Anyways... I also noticed the Bell phone and almost screamed - where was I when Ateez were starting a revolution in the TTC?!? Also if you rewatch their Rhythm Ta performance from Kingdom they were teasing us so bad with this concept
Just wanna clarify things. The world built in this album is NOT a NEW concept/storyline from ateez, it is still a continuation of their lore since debut (treasure era). If u realised it, in the treasure era, we got a glimpse of 2 versions of ateez, the pirate ones n halateez (ateez in black outfits like in hala hala). Ateez's lore is based on multi-dimension n multi-timeline world (thus we also got the chromer in ateez's mv), where halateez is kinda like ateez from the future but different dimension from normal/pirate ateez in the mv so far. The world depicted in this world album series is where halateez reside, n actually was already depicted in wonderland n hala hala mv, too (those are halateez in those mv, not pirateez). At first during treasure era, I (or I think most atiny) thought halateez is the enemy of ateez (kinda like their dark side), but it turned out NOT to be TRUE as we got answer mv (they sat in the same table). It turned out halateez tried to rebel against the government in their world, n they also need the cooperation from the ateez from the past. Then, we got fever series album which is the prequel before treasure series. And this world series is the new arc/chapter after treasure series, after answer mv. U could listen that the intro of sector 1 is the outro of answer. So, sector 1 comes after answer in the timeline. Hope this explanation helps.
ATEEZ is now a level up above average kpop, they were and are the best performers of their generation but now their albums gets better and better every comeback. They are the best n no one is near them.
Absolutely, this is a perfect sound track for Arcane. It would fit perfectly. I love that you referenced The Lord Of the Rings. Yes Yunho is shining in this album and I’m happy. I’m wondering if WDIG is going to have something to do with an alternate world them and their feelings. I’m only thinking this because of the Yunho story in the book in their last album.

And another thing to know is that ATEEZ was originally going to be called New World as a group so having this song in this album feels like full circle. In Showterview Hongjoong explained the timeline a bit how Ateez albums fit in their lore, this album bridges between Fever era to Halateez/Hala Hala era.

Thanks for the in-depth reaction. World Movement was my first Ateez album to listen to (and purchase). I have been aware of them for a couple of years because of the overlap with Dreamcatcher's composer /production team. I tried to get into them a couple of times, but it never took until this album. So now I am going to back to the beginning and using your reaction series as a guide to see how they got here. I am still learning the members' names. They are my third kpop male group to get into (after Big Bang and BTS). I am mostly a girl group stan, especially the 2nd and 3rd Gen.
