I bought a Dimond X30A & the Comet GP-9N I Used Both for a month or so & I Put The Diamond X30A up for a Uncle & I Use Th Comet GP-9 But I Followed Your Last Video with The Clubs Elmer ! I Used The Clear Coat But I Bought Some 1.5' Adhesive lined Heat shrink to Seal The Connection points of The Antenna Then The Good Electrical Tape then Coax Seal Then Tape Method & i had to take it off a fuw weeks latter & WoW It Was Sealed Tighter Than A Snare Drum & It Works Very Very Well & Wanted to say Thinks For The Ideas ! I ben into Radios & Antennas For 35-40 Years (Just 11M) Very New to Ham radio as far as Talking Goes &Any way my point being Your Never to old To Learn From Others IMHO !
