Spent half a year in bayou country as a relief worker after Rita blew the town of Cameron away, and I came to love the cajun folks, their warmth, their food, and of course, their music...seldom does one see musicians enjoying themselves as much as these ladies obviously are while playing...make you want to jump out of your chair and dance a jig...thanks for posting...
This is so great!!! Not only are they all beautiful and talented, but theyre preserving the great Cajun sound. I love it when she starts laughing at about 2:22. Keep it up ladies!!!
C' est extra que ces demoiselles interprètent des chansons "old time" dans le style Cajun. Nouvelle dimension! You don't hear an old classic "train song" in Cajun style every day. Well done ladies. Nice crossover. Same goes for Alberta. Thanks for posting!
I have never enjoyed a discovery on the internet that I have enjoyed more than this music, these groups, this incredibly uplifting group -- rock on, Bonsoir Catin!!!
Thomas Gilman i love this music, im a french man living in UK, BEAUSOLEIL was the first i found and i never looked back , this music pulls you out of any depression and i find the history of cajun music fascinating
Can’t beat the Zideco Cajun music gotta love it. Grew up with all kinds of music. I got this I-pad for Christmas , and the wife got me these real nice set of stereo headphones. I really love them
Great foot stomping music, terrific blends of vocals too. I'm English but must have a touch of Cajun in me -love every minute of it. Many thanks , merci beaucoup .
Georgeous Cajun Music and song!! Listening to these two songs both of which I love, I can just imagine them sung in Cajun French, they would be stunning with exactly the same instrumental backing from Christine, Anya, Kristi. Evette and that super drummer!!
Well thanks, it’s good to know their names. They are so talented and just a joy to watch and especially to hear. My wife and I used to make it down to Cajun country every few years. I wish we could go again. Thank goodness for TH-cam.
2nd Track. Don't know if these girls have been to Alberta, but I heard 'em in Louisiana at Balfa Camp in various combinations a few times. This vid brings back some great memories. Anya is not only a great fiddler but a talented luthier. Christine is golden. Their drummer must be in heaven.
Just listened to this again. Ace, ace, ace! At one point I went "Whoopee, _go_ for it ladies!" and the fiddler turned to me and smiled and gave a little nod. Looove this interactive internet thingee.
merci à cet excellent band country Louisiannais de mettre du soleil et du bonheur dans nos coeurs en ces journées maussades de cet été 2017 ce 9 août 2017 au Québec!
Lots of talent on that stage including the drummer. Easily one of my favorite videos and definitely one of my favorite tunes (Ruben's Train, errr... both actually). Thank you for posting.
+navretvet I agree with you on all that talent on stage...what kids nowadays are led to believe what talent is such a tragic tale... I remember going to see bands like Jehtro Tull. Led Zeppelin .Blue Oyster Cult and the Outlaws..and it was very rare to see someone on stage not playing and instrument...and now with rap and such no-one plays an instrument...they even have to use auto-tune..lol! wow.. auto-tune..
@@PatakaisseTV I wondered about all the French on the post, but because they were singing in English I made the mistake of presuming it was recorded in the USA. My mistake, and thanks for the correction. I'm pleased to find the music is known in France.
just looking at different music styles.. came across this. These girls understand the concept of enjoying playing, i couldn't stop watching because of this. The Bass player looks lovely.
That's Sam Murray ! He was the top drummer with various bands in the short lived Cajun Dance Boom in the UK .....and Ireland in the 90's.Great to see him still "drivin' the dancin".....not that these women really need any help in this department. "Gwaaaaaaan yis good things..!"
