If you ever decide to factor in customer support into your scoring system Vas I would suggest you give every Arrma vehicle a 10 out of 5 lol . Absolutely brilliant in my opinion . 2 faults with a Typhon and both dealt with within 2 days . Other RC companies take note ...
This should be the standard for short course racing. This thing is amazing. Way better with 17mm wheels though. Leave the little wheels for the 1/10 scale kids.
I have the Durango desc10 and love that truck which is just the race version of the senton. I recommend you the DE racing Trinidad or Borrego wheels. They are cheaper than the arrma wheels too. great video. love your reviews!
man thats what i call bashing. great!
my tires did the same thing on the first battery packs first run attempt literally blew the foams right out of the tires... arrma went good on it though and sent me a new set....always good to have backups lol
Im honestly surprised you haven't went for any cheap SCTs like a Traxxas Slash 2wd Brushed.

Great review Vas and I as well love my Traxxas Slash I own 2 but I also own a Senton and what sold me was straight out the box 6s. And it's tough as hell.

Great review. I was fortunate enough to get it on sale last week for around 250US$, even though I didn't need it, the deal was too good to pass up.
First thing I noticed was how thick the driveshafts are, very pleased with the quality and electronics. Servo is fantastic as well.
This is my first Arrma and I'm glad you scored it that high, gave me a sense of pride in owning one.......Arrma, most underrated brand, perhaps?

That's awesome, Jason. I think you'll be getting the V2 with the green body now, so it'll be even better than this one. I still recommend you get a good set of tyres though, they haven't improved those yet.

I'm really loving mine, got it on the tower hobbies black Friday deal, and I put a set of duratrax lockup 1/8 buggy tires on it. I agree, this is the best SC truck I've ever owned.
What did you pay for it?
Wouldn't mind getting an Arrma vehicle but my brother has had the worst luck with their electronics. If they made a roller version I'd be all over it.

Amazing truck. I think it was you that showed the big sale at tower hobbies some days ago. In Canada I picked one up for $418 taxes in at my local hobby shop. Rediculous deal for a Rediculous truck. Great review as always ☺
I like both of my Slash's (4x4 and 2wd) ,but i LOVE the Arrma Senton!
Its just a tank,and Freakin Hell fast on 6S.
No issues,just bash and bash and bash and bash...if you like more to run your RC than to fix it,the Senton is the car you have to buy!
Which was more fun the Typhoon or Senton?

The transparent spoiler is detouchable. What is the reason for it as a basher? It looks better without it.

I thought the slash ultimate was your best shortcourse truck? O have you had any esc problems with this one? Cause i know u said u had issues with the kraton
speaking about the throttle delay ..have you checked into reprogramming the esc like turn up the punch I know dynamite power systems on new losi products have this option.
As I said in the review, the ESC is not programmable, so no adjustments can be made to punch control.
I swapped out to a spektrum receiver and I've noticed a very slight difference in esc response, and I meant VERY slight. but I'm used to it from most of my other trucks that I've set up with a high punch control to save the drivetrain
nothing beats my mighty traxxas lcg 4wd NOTHING!

Hi Vas - another excellent vid. If AusieRC says Senton is no.1 - I'm inclined to believe it. I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a purchase of a SENTON - am very interested to hear from you how it's holding up? In particular the drive-chain and diffs. Have you shimmed the diffs or modified them at all? How many packs have you fed through this beast now? Keep up the good work! :)
+Patrick Cleary Thank you Patrick. I haven't done anything to the truck as far as shimming diffs and I've put close to 3 dozen packs through it now without issue. Also, if you're going to get one, you may want to wait as ARRMA are now updating their cars and there's a new motor & ESC coming as well. Check out their site and you'll see the new Kraton and Typhon cars with the updated systems.

Hi Vas - I finally got around to purchasing the Senton. I've got the v2 and I've put 4 packs through it now (4s) - I'm loving it, I've got some BMX jumps not unlike the ones you use in my neighborhood and the Senton has been sending thick plumes of dust into the community! I've had to re-glue all the wheels now and can see that I'll need a new set in the not-too-distant future. What would you recommend for this unit?
hey anyone have ideas how to keep the grass off the senton? im having this issue all dirt and grass end up in my esc fan any ideas tips?

I was looking forward to seeing this review, this the only SCT I would consider to have for all reasons I the video. on top of that It looks fantastic and we'll though out, quick question does the body para-shute at all? great video.
not much compared to other scts due to the cut outs
The car does parachute, and surprisingly the weight only makes a minor difference.
If you watch the last bits of footage from the BMX track, you can see it parachute off the first jump.
Thanks to the both of you, yes I that at the end I just wouldn't want o ruin that good looking body shell.
Cheaper lmao we are a senton family son seem me running the hell out of my senton at a skate park said he wanted one I got mine for 445 us my senton just got his for 250 so as for a slash being 420 us I would say the beast senton even at 519 on tower is a great price its a tank and will beat the body shell off any slash and as always Vasco great vid keep up the good work and thanks

I tried last weekend but couldn't get it running right, I'll try again this weekend. Hopefully you'll see a running video soon.

Thinking about getting a short course truck. Right now I'm thinking about getting this car or the slash ultimate . Which one should I get?
Renegades43 the 2wd slash is great but the 4x4 slash is not that good.....but look around there is a lot of good trucks in the 4x4 sct segment
Is it worth selling ny new slash ultimate tsm lcg for the senton?. Do not run on tracks
For me, the Senton is the ultimate SCT. I have a Slash Ultimate LCG also and if I had to pick only one, it would be the Senton.
whis is the best 4s lipo to run with this? i care more for run time
Would the Traxxas Ultimate Tires also work well on the Senton ?
Frank Napolitano No, they won't fit. The Senton uses 17mm hexes and the Slash uses 12mm.

Vas, you say it's the best SCT you've had thus far. Would you even recommend it over the Slash 4x4 Platinum/Ultimate?
This thing Flies well I'd get it over a plastic slash all daywith all the upgrades you need to do to a slash I'd get a Pro line Pro 2 SCT but this is 4wd so would win it for me plus 6s power ;O)

I can't see why you'd buy this over the cheeper Traxxas Slash.
+Lee OfBacup Pretty simple... The Slash is not as strong, or as fast, or as stable, or as durable as the Senton. By the time you're done upgrading the Slash to be as fast, as strong or as durable as the Senton, you would have spent twice as much as the Senton. I have a Slash Ultimate LCG and the first thing to go was the motor & ESC due to over heating and mediocre speeds with safe gearing. A-arms were next and the plastic driveshafts are showing big signs of stress and fatigue. Not to mention the body is a bit weak and flimsy, the tires are OK - better than the Senton's, but still nothing special.
But here's the thing, I think both trucks are great trucks and they both deserve praise for being what they are, but trust me when I say that the Senton is in another league when compared to the Slash.
+Jason Smith Actually, that's a very good point about the battery and one I overlooked in the review. However, that's a compromise that I'm willing to make for the extra power and stability. But yes, it does cost a little more to run the Senton, but it's still cheaper to maintain. So it does balance out.

well here in the US the slash 4x4 stock is 450 bucks while this truck is only 375

I picked this up during the Thanksgiving specials at Towerhobbies.com After price break and my discount I only paid $245.00 USD. I would not buy it for the normal price of $520.00 USD. I agree with you that the tires leave something to be desired. I am going to invest in new tires, just not sure what I want yet. I also own the Typhon since last year. I have yet to run it (Old ESC. I need to run it to see if it will hold up)... lol
I ordered my Typhon as soon as Tower had it in stock on the day of release and I'm still using the same ESC it came with. So far, I've only had one ESC failure and that was on the Kraton. All other stock ARRMA ESCs have been fine.
