Thanks for your review and the info on the specs, gearing, and shims. Found everything I needed to know. Would you choose this over an Infraction or is that like comparing apples and oranges?
I would take the Infraction over this. I'm not a huge fan of Short Course Trucks, but it's a popular model, so I wanted to test it. The Infraction is baddass!
Excellent review. I cant find these anywhere in Australia. I presume the recent Hobbico issue is to blame. I hope they come back on the market. Watching this has made me want one....Thank You
The 6s is basically a 1/8 buggy disguised as a 1/10 sct. Under the body it uses all 1/8 scale parts. A arms, motor, esc etc. It just has smaller wheels. Also the wheels are 17mm hex rather than 12mm on typical 1/10 scale. It's a sct on steroids
@@hungngo3415 all metalu gears. All metal gear servo as well but it's not the best servo. Metal gear differentials. But the differentials are a little sloppy. You gotta shim them
I love mine. But I do not understand why arrma put away bars on the v2, and not the v3. I've had mine for about 2 months now. I have broke a right front lower control arm twice. But that was my fault, not good to hit solid, stationary objects .... I have ordered the 20t pinion to see if I can up the speed some. The one thing I don't like about the senton is how dirty the inside gets, and it's hard to clean. I wish it had mud guards on the chassis or something.
It does get pretty dirty, especially in loose dirt and that kind of terrain. I do most of my driving on the street and packed dirt, so I haven't had any issues. It is weird that the sway bars are absent on this version. Not sure what the thinking was there.
Nothing blows off worse than traxxas ultra shocks, at least nothing made to actually work. Of course, I popped my Typhon v3 caps on the first bash. Plastic shock caps on an 1/8 scale is really stupid. I replaced them with the caps from the Kraton v3. It only took 6 months to find them.
got to be honest mate , am not too impressed, it doesnt jump well and is very noisy and not in a good way but a lovely honest review, thanks ive been considering this or the losi ford raptor rey and i think ill go for the raptor rey
@Arduino Stein I have recently bought the Losi baja raptor rey and that has it's own issues , it's very tippy like the UDR, quite anoying but I have looked further into the Senton and I feel 6s is always going to be unnecessary and in 1/10 will be poorly balanced and heavy, I have a Losi ten sct e with 4500 kv motor and a 3s battery am getting 57mph ! At 57mph there is nothing I can do with the car as it's not big enough to handle the power so why would you need 6s ???
im just re watching this video and the senton truly is a very tough car and i would say a lot more car for your money than the slash but when i compare this to my losi ten scte also a big 1/10 car, i just cant see the need for 6s in a fairly light car, you got 48mph on 6s , my losi runs a turnigy 120a esc coupled to a 3500kv 1/8 motor and im getting 50 plus mph with a 3s battery ?? and lets be honest these little cars are really unstable at 50mph , i much prefer my losi on 2s at 38 to 40mph, its a shame really because the senton really is one super tough SOB BUT 6S is neither use nor ornament imo and the bloody weight in a 1/10 no wonder it struggles in jumps, i had a hpi Apache sc 1/8 and 4s was more than enough for that, 6s is a bit gimmicky tbh. but again probably the toughest 1/10 car you can buy
True, this is definitely way better than a Slash, and it is built like a tank. I'm not into SCTs really though. Good to hear abou the Losi, I have never reviewed any of their stuff I don't think. Horizon is stingy on who they send out to, and I haven't felt too compelled to buy another SCT. I too do not understand going 6s for the same speed as a properly geared 3s, but I do love the hell out of my Typhon and Talion. :)
@@apodacainc haha my pal has a typhon 3s and it flies 47mph, a bit plasticy for my liking but a great buggy, ive just bought the losi super baja rey, honestly fantastic car ! its making me want to get the 1/10 losi ford Raptor baja rey. i have a huge collection of rc , i have done a couple of little race videos with a hong nor x1 crt that i converted to brushless and my Thunder Tiger MT4 but i have all kinds of RC mostly cars, if i put my mind to it i could do some great comparisons. i dont know much about getting companies to send you vehicles but i suppose its in their interest if you are advertising their cars and Losi are tight with their stuff lol maybe you have to have a certain no. of subscribers to get them to send you their products ??
gatti493 I have the 6s aluminum Typhon. And yeah, I’m sure you have to have tons of subscribers to get free shit from some companies. Depending on the product I get a ton of views, som things, not so much. It’s ok, I feel better about spending my own money anyway. I did this as a way of giving back to the rc community by giving honest reviews with no interest in making money. Some companies have been upset by not getting a positive review that they never send anything again. Which is fine, it allows me to call them out lol.
All of arrmas 1/8 line up come eitj optional speed pinions to reach the numbers stamped on the box. This is a 6mph rig when thats done and with extra gearing to go after that. Wheee the slash would need some extra work done to obtain 70mph its a mere pinion gear to do that in a arrma rig
I got mine yesterday. Today will be my first bashing sesh. Nice piloting btw bro.

For how many $ do you sell it

I appreciate the kind words. I definitely think Horizon Hobby will keep ARRMA intact, it's a good brand with a huge following now.
Hey man I just bought one for $750 from CrazyHobbies in Sydney near Ryde. They have an ebay shop also and a proper online store/website.
The senton 3s blx also does 50 out the box and is also 1/10 scale for $300. So what is the benefit of the 6s?
Liso Campos it is mostly plastic. The 6s have a lot of aluminum and metals gears.

Helson Ly does it have all the metal gears on the inside ? Cause that’s all I’m worried about , the internal gearings
Real RC Reviews do you have any issues on your senton 6s so far ?

Can the body shell fit the 4x4 mega
I don't think so, this is larger.
Nice review of a badass truck!! liked and subbed ☺
Thank you!!!

Sorry pal I may have picked you up wrong , I thought you were justifying the 6s Senton,
Does this do a wheelie?
I suppose it could if you messed with the slipper clutch and maybe the diffs.
500k oil in the centerdiff and it sure does wheelies 😀

Where can i buy this
Tower Hobbies or Horizon Hobby
where is the senton 4s ???????????
I don't have one yet :(
I thought this was suppose to do 60mph
#Dieboutit #Principles it might do that with a different gearing.
With the optional piniongear it does.
cool video mate
Thank you!
Traxxas slash is quicker on 3 cell.

For 6s motor 4s is the minimum and 6s the max.
