@@ShroomFishing And you don't need to use ecogear ones with weird hooks on them either. They are good for avoiding being snagged but treble armed ones work just fine as far as catching fish goes.

Funny thing is l live about 100m away from that canal.....and l can not get myself to fish there. Not sure why. Maybe it's that when l first moved there that canal was often very polluted. I normally go the river proper. Must try the canal one day

That canal seems to have gone quiet of late Shroom ! Last time i was there the water was a very cloudy aqua green colour ! And the fish just basically werent there ,, even the bridges were quiet . 👍🎣
Great video mate, It was you I saw on the opposite side of the canal on either Monday or Tuesday, I called out to you but you didn't hear me, I went on Monday for the first time fishing a canal, and had a ripper day, got 3 bream and 5 flathead, So I went back on Tuesday, but it was quieter for me and the water was alot clearer than Monday but only got three flathead Tuesday, all flathead were caught on a Savage gear 4 inch TPE Shrimp, and bream on the new Daiwa Infeet Rollin crank in blue Suji shrimp, hope I didn't ruin your video fishing there,

I did hear someone calling out but I couldn't make out the words and I didn't hear Shroom (which is normally what people shout at me haha) so I wasn't sure. That sounds like a really good session and better than what I got here so really well done mate! So that's where all the flathead went, you caught them all 😁👍
@@ShroomFishing thanks champion, first time using that 4 inch savage gear TPE Shrimp and got a 46 cm one first cast about two seconds after hitting the water, so I knew I was on to a good thing and only changed to a crank about twenty min before leaving, will definetly be going back,
zx 40mm is my fave lure, its caught me fish in spots where I've caught nothing before and it was the first lure Ive caught flatty and bream on. Theyre pretty pricey though if you buy from bcf etc
If the Narrabeen lake is open to the ocean...with all this rain flushing out the lake. Prime Jewfish spot on the beach near the outward flow of the lake....Cheers

I fish around the harbour area , mainly rose Bay wharf . Would you happen to know what’s the best frozen bait or bread for bream and snapper . I can’t get live prawns or yakkas so I’m just wondering what’s the best frozen bait
For bream specifically, chicken is extremely good. Bread is also very good for bream but unweighted and pretty much only fishing at your feet. In general, a good bait for bream, snapper and anything else is pilchard cut into small cubes. Squid is also great but only fresh squid. Probably easiest bait to get is a block of pilchards.

Hey Munnyzz, for soft plastics there are many on the market but a widely available one that's easy to use and effective is the Zman Grubz 2.5inch in watermelon red. It works well in combination with a 1/16oz jighead with a size #2 hook

Yep that is how it goes sometimes. It changes daily, can be firing one day and on life support the next haha.

Do ya reckon it's best when the high tide times ,,, are 1.6 metres plus ? Ive found that's when it fires . 👍🎣
@@davidshaul5265 Yeah, the high is more consistent. The bigger the tide the better but fish are almost always in there despite the level

Yep, pretty expensive but no doubt the Ecogear blades are first in class. If lures didn't close anything, I'd be throwing them all the time haha

Hey Jawad, I use 'Squidgies S factor' scent. You can buy from most big chain stores like BCF.
