question...With the "projections" about sea levels rising, do you have any historical information or future advice about the keys shrinking or going underwater? Is or will keys real estate be lost to ocean rise?
Of course we see the same "projections" everyone sees, and I would say it is of concern, but for us anyway, our priority is more on enjoying life to the fullest whenever and wherever we can right now. So this is where we choose. We know the Keys are not for everyone, and I would never make any projections about sea level rise personally...just not my area of expertise. I would say, however, that if that is a legitimate concern for you, the Keys may not be the right spot...as we are merely feet above sea level and always have been. I doubt it. The property also includes a few hundred feet of bay bottom so you could add dockage if needed.
